Honestly, as far as "Body guys who can go", top 10 (in no order) HHH, Scott Steiner, Cena, Graham, Orndorff, Lashley, Batista, Hogan, Brian Cage, Rick Rude. The idea of Luger actually being anywhere as good as his body was is asinine.
Shoutout to Brian Cage. Not as successful in kayfabe as most ppl on this list but especially given the context of AEW he's always a joy to watch in a place where he seems like a genuine marble giant and his in ring is miles above what a guy as big as him should be able to do. Where others on this list can at most do a middle rope axe handel, Cage is out there doing frankensteiners and suplexing people from the ring apron into the ring
What AEW are doing with Brian Cage is downright disgusting. He has the look alongside all the talent in the world and they have him look like a complete jobber.
I know we hate him as a human being (me included) but Vince McMahon should get some credit from a BUSINESSMAN perspective. He helped a lot of guys on his roster lose weight. When Mick Foley told Vince on the phone that he lost 25lbs during an 80lbs loss goal, Vince told Foley himself that he would hold him on that. Vince also helped Gunther lose weight according to Dave Meltzer as well as telling Big Show he was a “Fat new years baby.” While not the nicest of ways to put it, Show did end up getting in shape so good for him. Sheamus recalled a story about how Vince asked if he enjoyed the holidays while looking at his gut. Sheamus took this as inspiration to get back in shape. Chris Jericho once recalled saying Vince went through a phase of wanting Kevin Owens to lose weight” Which inspired Kevin Owens to do so. My sources of these story’s comes from Sportskeeda. Vince is obviously not the best person on the planet (understatement, I know) but their has been times he’s proven to show concern for his roster when it comes to their physical health. His love for muscular guys as well as being a muscular guy in his prime as well as being the head of the biggest wrestling promotion in the world should at least give him somewhat of a mention.
@@marthastubbs8321 Because I thought he should be included. Other's have mentioned Otis, and you're asking why I asked about someone who is legitimately ripped?
The guy who does these videos was obviously clearly troIIIing with this video. Triple Nose has never been the best At anything, and his physique was average at best. Pretty sure someone told me the mark kid that makes these videos is trying to get a job with the Fed, hence the #1 spot going to Triple Nobody
I think Cena really sold himself as a proper worker with the US Open Challenge. There were quite a few bangers in there and the argument that he couldn't wrestle fizzled out there.
I think that George Hackenschmidt should've been on this list for sure, one of the early examples of a "body guy" Pioneer of bodybuilding, big, buff and ripped, he would definitely be on my list
Missed an opportunity to mention the “original” body guy, Jim Londos; an individual who basically influenced the wrestling business to utilize the physical appeal of wrestling talent. Wish u didn’t miss that opportunity.
Same here, early Sting roid up was a beefy boy, but when he got off it and started wearing the Crow Sting tights he kinda deflated. Guess he'll just have to settle for being one of the greatest of all time without the "body guy" designation.

True, but his body fat percentage was genetic, I bet he had visible abbs before he ever did a crunch or situp, so that came naturally, but in many low fat % people he probably had to really trick his muscles to make his first gains.

Paul Orndorff should've at least had one reign as WWF Champion. If anyone was going to beat Hogan during that time, Orndorff was the guy to do it.
Would have worked well. Have Piper or Orton cheat to help him win. Hogan has to overcome the odds in the rematch or maybe it’s a steel cage match.
Mr Wonderful
Honestly, as far as "Body guys who can go", top 10 (in no order) HHH, Scott Steiner, Cena, Graham, Orndorff, Lashley, Batista, Hogan, Brian Cage, Rick Rude. The idea of Luger actually being anywhere as good as his body was is asinine.
was jesse "the body" ventura too obvious?
Lashley definitely deserved to be mentioned here.
@@MR12AMAZING He's that low on the totem pole there? Jayzus.
I popped for the Rick Rude WCW theme. So underrated IMO
Where’s Blue Meanie?
I'm surprised Finn Balor and his 334 Abs didn't make the list.
That's not really what a Body Guy is. Mostly they're the dudes that make you think they're roided to the gills, even on the rare occasion they're not
He has definition but, he's small af, he doesnt have the mountains of muscles the people in this list had
Dunno why you would even mention him
@@marthastubbs8321 Because I thought he should be included. Other's have mentioned Otis, and you're asking why I asked about someone who is legitimately ripped?
Another small dude with a great physique is Pac.
Brian Cage absolutely deserves a mention
Triple H at Number 1? Now that surprised me.
The guy who does these videos was obviously clearly troIIIing with this video. Triple Nose has never been the best At anything, and his physique was average at best. Pretty sure someone told me the mark kid that makes these videos is trying to get a job with the Fed, hence the #1 spot going to Triple Nobody
@@marcbasilYou forget to take your meds today or something?
@@metapowm4881 lol looks like the mark who runs this channel has family members/friends patrolling the comments for him. Typical smark behavior Lmao
I think Cena really sold himself as a proper worker with the US Open Challenge. There were quite a few bangers in there and the argument that he couldn't wrestle fizzled out there.
He was always a solid worker tho
@@stevenbryant8160 yeah he was. But it seemed to Be accepted by his haters during that US open chapter
I think that George Hackenschmidt should've been on this list for sure, one of the early examples of a "body guy"
Pioneer of bodybuilding, big, buff and ripped, he would definitely be on my list
Thanks for the video Brian
If there’s no Jimmy Del Ray we riot
Missed an opportunity to mention the “original” body guy, Jim Londos; an individual who basically influenced the wrestling business to utilize the physical appeal of wrestling talent. Wish u didn’t miss that opportunity.
Where the hell is Brock Lesnar? Seriously, his push in the 2000s was thanks almost exclusively due his look. Thankfully he could wrestle too.
Masterpiece Chris Masters honor mention
awesome video Brian You're the best.
Oh nooooo Kerry Von Erich got snubbed!! He must be in part 2!
No Buddy Rose? Come on, he had the Blow Away Diet.
He worked hard for his body
Playboy
You beat me to it.
I figure that Sting would of got an honorable mention since he and warrior came in the business at the same time.
Same here, early Sting roid up was a beefy boy, but when he got off it and started wearing the Crow Sting tights he kinda deflated. Guess he'll just have to settle for being one of the greatest of all time without the "body guy" designation.
The chemical agents that Hulk was drinking was all that Agent Orange. That is what gave him those 24 inch pythons.
This is a great channel. I have been watching a lot of the reviews of old pay per views lately after having discovered this channel. Awesome work.
This video sucked lol
@@marcbasil I am going to disagree lol.
It’s clear I got half the Zane that you do
Hulk was massive, especially in the 80s. A big big dude.
Coincidentally rewatched your lex video last night. Whenever you talk about him im always interested
I never, ever cared for Lex Luger and hated him even more after Elizabeth's death. She had no business dying.
Luger had the best look in the history of wrestling. Charisma work rate, attitude…well that’s a different story
🤣
@@claymathewselevator8121 what’s funny…?
Besides Steiner, who will always be #1, this is the list, in no particular order: Warlord, BJH, KVE, Lex, Masters, Hawk, Orndorff, Atlas, Hulk, Nikita, Warrior, Buff, Goldberg, Dupree, Jindrak, DBS
I can’t believe he didn’t come in the top 3
True, but his body fat percentage was genetic, I bet he had visible abbs before he ever did a crunch or situp, so that came naturally, but in many low fat % people he probably had to really trick his muscles to make his first gains.
Hogan training Mean Gene is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
If you hook up, holla if ya hear me!
Chris Walker (1990)
Lex Luger (1989)
Ultimate Warrior (1987)
Scott Steiner (1987)
Tom McGee (1986)
Rick Rude (1988)
Texas Tornado (1989)
HHH (2002)
Alex Coughlin looks like a freak of nature. Also fair play to Hobbs for becoming what he is now
Every time I see coughlin he does something more unreal than the last time I saw him. Standing out as the jacked guy in a faction with Dan Moloney, Gabe Kidd & Clark Connors is a feat in itself honestly. War Dogs rule 🤘
@@tiem6260 Between drilla and Alex, how i see it is someone jacked to fuck versus shredded to gills. both insane just in different ways. My dogs 4 real
Are you going to do/have you done a classic ppv review of wcw uncensored 1997?
2017 Jinder deserves a shout
Don’t Hinder Jinder
He had the bacne of a champion.
@Cursed_Mark lol.
Orndorff has the body women love and men love...to uh, fear.
Here's my 11 picks of WWWF-WWE Superstars (current or former) who have the best bodies (let me know if I left out anyone):
1. Ivan Putski
2. Brock Lesnar (who I'm surprised Brian Zane didn't mention on this video but I can see why)
3. Powers of Pain (Warlord & Barbarian) (sorry, Legion of Doom fans)
4. "Macho Man" Randy Savage
5. Bobby Lashley
6. Tony Atlas
7. Kerry Von Erich
8. Chris Masters
9. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka
10. Roman Reigns
11. Ricky Steamboat (not because he's my idol but Ricky did compete in bodybuilding before wrestling).
No Rick Rude 😭
Sorry if you like the biggest beefiest guys but he had the best body in wrestling imo
Ricky Steamboat and Snuka are scary buff. They aren’t necessarily huge but they look like all they do is work out and fight.
@@earlofdrumer1851 Oops, I'm mentioning wrestlers that Brian Zane left out on this video.
Most of my picks have better bodies than the late, great Bruno Sammartino.
Hercules Hernandez
12:27 That’s several members of Yukes, the longtime WWE Games developer, if I’m not mistaken.
I’m probably the only one who thinks 2001 Kane should be on the list
Honorable mention to Pac. He is essentially a walking set of muscles.
10. Hollywood Hogan
9. HHH (2002)
8. The Rock
7. Buff Bagwell
6. Ken Shamrock
5. Batista
4. Scott Steiner
4. Bobby Lashley
3. John Cena
2. Lex Luger
1. Ultimate Warrior
Rob Terry Maybe ???
Robbie T
BEST body guys. Not worst.
This was a very good list Brian. I'm going to be interested in how you going to make a worse "body guys" top 8. Because there's a lot of people that you can choose from and personally I think it's difficult to choose only eight wrestlers. My personal favorite body guy is Kane. He didn't really have the best body but for a big man he kept his body in shape
Triple H is one of my favorites. He was able to work amazing matches with larger than life characters in the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era.
LMFAO
@@marcbasil Sounds like a bot comment lol.
@@MR12AMAZING ..?
Mil Mascaras deserves a honorable mention.
Nice list Brian but how in the hell can you leave off Ricky Steamboat? The man had the million dollar body, the in ring talent, and was great on the mic. Granted some of the others here had more chrisima but you can't deny Steamboat was better in the ring than most on this list and could burn it down whether in AWA, NWA, WWF WCW
Had a good body but was a little too small.
@@douglaspaterson5269 Maybe for McMahon's 80s meat factory, but he held his own during the NWA/WCW and when you look at Eddie Gureruo and Chris Beniot's bodies for their sizes they could make this list too.
@@Cavillier1970 True.
Kane (especially when he debuted) would be part of my list. His physique till 2001 was absolutely insane. Probably the best big + body guy ever.
