@rdavidm1 - "Right" middle lobe is not anatomically correct, because it implies that there is an equivalent lobe on the contralateral side. The lungs only have one middle lobe.
my doctor just told me I have a nodule on my right lung it showed up on a CT with contrast. I do not smoke never did or drink. I just got over thyroid cancer last year.. I am looking for a new doctor now to look in to it.
JA M change your diet immediately to plant based diet, juicing is the best to shrink nodules. Mine was 3cm and now is up to 7cm. 10cm is a cancerous tumor. 3months after I ditched high fat sugary diet and started juicing the tumors shrieked from 7cm to 5cm and some of the smaller ones completely disappeared. I also take black seed oil that said to be cure everything.
My late mother had multiple nodules that kept changing. She had a pet scan. Thanks something changed opps a rushed through bronscopy. Opps your terminal get your affairs in order opps your dying nothing we can do well we can do chemotherapy and radiation but opps your terminal
Gary, thanks for your feedback. I have the highest regards for techs, and I have worked with many CT techs, and the great majority have been excellent: They are hard working, compassionate, dedicated and professional. (Hold the beer for the time being...)
Judging by the way you were playing around with the images from the CT scan of this patient, tells me that the CT scan images are of a finer detail than a chest xray. I am hoping that when I have my CT scan done, it will show in much better detail where my breathing issue (shortness of breath) is coming from. I have a suspicion it is not Aortic Stenosis as I have been told, but something else. The CT will help to determine what and where the issue is for me.
Dear Dr. 19 year undiagnosed breathing issue. Just had a non-contrast CT. Negative. Makes no sense. Stopped me walking in the 1st year - v v breathless. Feels like I have compromised breathing now, only using top part of my lungs effectively. Have findings on CD. Fancy taking a look?
rdavidm1 What about asbestos? What about radon? Do doctors ever tell people that smoke that they may have a high radon count of 23 picocuries and that it may have nothing to do with smoking? Nah. Lol
Wish I could send you my scan to review. Mine just said there’s a nodule in right lower lobe 6mm and a low dense lesion in liver that can possibly be a cyst. My doctor literally just read verbadem what the findings where and didn’t explain anything of what it could mean or the calcification of it. Nothing at all.
Thank you, this video has really helped.
Laura Keane glad to hear it. Thanks.
Great ! That hopefully for me
Thanks.
Thanks. I appreciate your feedback!
A great effort and an excellent presentation....you should label it as CT Chest for Dummies.....Keep it up
I wish I could send you my scan for your opinion, scared of what is going on with it,

I got a ct scan done. It said scarring/ atelectasis. If this wasnt the case why would it be referred to into report
Very interesting, but a little bit confusing because of the repetition of the same thing. Thank you for putting up this video.
It must be very difficult to do a video geared toward a non-medical person that would also be viewed by medical people.
If you have a ct scan and it clear does that mean you haven't got lung cancer
If your ct scan is clear does that mean you haven't got lung cancer
