Guys please, as an Armenian I'm saying enough is enough. Enough blood has been wasted in this area for more than 100 years. How many innocent people have to suffer more until this finally finds an end? Since I was a little child the most thing I always wished was peace for armenia and that region. This area have been playball for big geopolitical players for long enough, who were just serving their interests there at any cost. I know some really good turkish people here in austria, where I wouldn't hesitate to call them brothers because they are such beautiful souls and wish exactly the same like me. I don't want to start a big political discussion about what happened in the past. Both sides have blood on their hands. Just want to say, that I'm happy that the azeri refugees can finaly come back to their homes and it was a big failure to ever touch azeri civilians and made them to refugees. If some monsters did that a some point, it doesn't mean the opposite side should do the same, because then they would turn to monsters by themselves. Unfortunately many armenian civilians have now also lost their homes, but anyway I'm hoping the Turkish, Azeris and Armenian people can finally find peace after this, and maybe, someday they will live side by side together again, like they did in the past.

It's not hard to see where Matthew Bryza's blatant bias in favor of Azerbaijan comes from: 1) In May 2010, the White House appointed Bryza as the United States Ambassador to Azerbaijan. His nomination ultimately was never confirmed by the full Senate, however, and after serving as Ambassador for less than a year, Bryza left the State Department and joined the Azerbaijani-government affiliated Turcas petrol board. 2) Conflict of interest concerns including reports were raised that the then Azerbaijani Foreign Minister served as 1 of 3 groomsmen in Bryza's wedding. 3) Reporters Without Borders raised concerns about the persecution of Azerbaijani reporters who reported that an Azerbaijani government minister partially paid for Bryza's wedding. According to an article by Ganimat Zahid and Agil Khalil in the Azerbaijani newspaper Azadliq, the then Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan, Heydar Babayev, paid for a significant portion of Bryza’s wedding in Istanbul, Turkey.
The moderators did a decent job of making sure both sides got to Express their opinions and give facts about what's happening on the ground. This is very important having two people from different sides of the war speak to each other and have a debate... i know emotions get high but it would be for the best if the moderators could mute one sides Microphone while the other side is talking... give each side 5-10mins to express their views and opinions. Let one talk and then mute them and let the other talk. It gets counterproductive when both sides just yell over each other

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is the longest-running in post-Soviet Eurasia. In 1988, ethnic Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh demanded the transfer of what was then the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast (NKAO) from Soviet Azerbaijan to Armenia. Greetings from Brazil. I don't know if I'm mistaken, but it's very claear to me Azerbaijan has been unfairly blamed by international media and many journalist, specially from Wester countries for having been made ethnic cleansing against Armenian. There is no REAL PROOF Azerbaijanis are doing that against Armenians. I totally agree with the lady's arguments. What is very strange is that Armenia is the real responsible for all this mess when over 25 years ago, this country decided to invade Azerbaijan and took over not only NK but also areas nearby. It's more likely Armenians have made ethnic cleasing against Azerbaijans. I don't remember Armenia goverment suffer sanctions by the UN or even be taken to International Court because of invasion and alleged war crimes. The international community has always recongnized NK as part of Azerbaijan so Armenia has no right to claim that area for any reason. Azerbaijan acted correctly to recover its land definitly. Regarding Armenian community in NK, in case some of them decide to remain there, Azerbaijan has obligation to ensure their safety and also treat them like any Azerbaijan people ensuring the same civil rights, duties and also providing quality of life, infrastructure, economic developing, so on as the lady have appointed, BUT UNDER Azerbaijan law like any country does.

I wonder if those displaced Armenians had sympathized with the 700,000 Azeris who had to flee Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding districts as a result of their victory in the first war in the 1990s. So many people pouring out heartfelt emotions in their direction today, completely oblivious or willfully forgetting that they were guilty of doing the same to their neighbors three decades ago. Some of those old men in the video clip were personally responsible for doing it to the Azeris and they went home to those now old women who celebrated and congratulated them for killing and displacing others for being different. Now, they suffer the same fate in their lifetime when they are incapable of effectively fighting back. Karma is exactly who they say she is.

“Nagorno-Karabakh” term was established by Armenia after Karabakh’s invasion in early 90s. The purpose was to show Karabakh as a separate entity from Azerbaijan. I’m reality it’s just another city/district/county of Azerbaijan. There is no “Nagorno-Karabakh”, there is only Karabakh. Btw for those who wonder, Kara means black in Azerbaijani/Turkish language, Bag(bakh) means garden in Azerbaijani/Turkish language. Karabakh means black_garden while it has no meaning in Armenian. “Karabakh Khanate” was established in 1747 by Panahali Khan and had today’s Zangazur (Armenians call it Syunik” was part of Karabakh khanate. In 1805 Russia invaded Karabakh Khanate under general commander Sisianov’s initiative. In 1828 treaty of turkmenchay was signed between Iran and Russia as their war ended and Russia claimed Karabakh as it’s vassal state. Russia also moved 140,000 Armenians to South Caucasus (mainly Karabakh) from Iran and Turkey between 1828-1830. That was first time Armenians stepped on South Caucasus. Azerbaijani Turks officially lived on these lands since 11th century as Oghuz Seljugs. If you make slight research about who are descendants of oghuz turks you’ll find out 3: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan…

The misinformation on behalf of Azeri propaganda is unbelievable...you are grossly inflating all statistics regarding the NK war in the late 80s - milions of Azeris being displaced and dying? I am not agreeing with civilians being killed or displaced in any way, and unfortunately this is the dire consequence of war. But as the gentleman in the center reported, there were about 800,000 civilians displaced. Please review your historical facts before angrily backfiring with emotion and false information to exaggerate your point and mislead the international audience who want to educate themselves. Additionally, there were casualties during last week's mess from your territorist country (latest numbers mentioned over 200 civilians killed and 100s injured on global news, and numbers still being counted (Al Jazeera, RadioFree Europe, Reuters sources, the IFRC - International Federation of the Red Cross, and our local Armenian channels). You also deliberately failed to mention that the Lachin corridor connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia was blocked by Azerbaijan for almost 1 year leading up to last week's explosion...effectively impeding access to food, fuel, electricity and critical medical supplies to the local Armenians there, potentially leading to genocide. Check your facts. You then have the audacity to say that the Azeri government will protect their rights and they are fleeing out of their own volition, or because they were *brainwashed* by their criminal puppet regime? Your country doesn't even allow international observers on the ground to objectively record the happenings there under the pretext of unsafe landmines, as if the world is that dumb to believe this given the hundreds of thousands of locals living there until now. Azerbaijan, after keeping the region blocked from global access by the U.N. and international observers, has now decided to grant this access to the United Nations after nearly all Armenians have evacuated..and for what? To see empty Armenian homes and the pretense of how Azerbaijan is now acting so humanitarian towards the very few living humans there? This speaks volumes about how much your terrorist country has to hide about your crimes against humanity. Armenians are fleeing the homes and lives they built there for centuries before your militant country even existed, so they can survive, and not be subjected to a 2nd genocide - considering the horrific massacres against Armenians your Turkish best friends already committed in the early 20th Century. And in case you missed the definition of ethnic cleansing, it is readily available on Wiipedia, Webster's Dictionary, Encyclopedia Britannica and many other educational resources: "The systematic, forced removal of ethnic, racial and religious groups from a given area, with the intent of making a region ethnically homogeneous." Despite your blatant denial against facts, Azerbaijan's blockade of the Lachin corridor in the last year, effectively starving people and closing access to food, electricity, fuel and critical medical supplies leading up to last week's disaster which forced people into this mass exodus we are currently seeing, is by definition, ethnic cleansing. No one from what you claim as *Karabakh criminals* told them to leave. Hundreds have been interviewed by global outlets and are saying this very very clearly. Again I urge audiences to simply watch all the global outlets. Your lack of any fact checking and screeching hysterically on international television was pure garbage and propaganda. Shame on you for misleading people who are truly trying to understand the situation. As for Armenian and Azeri civilians, it is heart wrenching to see so much bloodshed over hate wars because of inhumane redrawing of geographical maps during the 1920s Stalin regime, which have led to so much pain and strife for both sides. Now that the vast majority of Armenians are safely in Armenia proper despite having lost centuries of their cultural heritage now recognized as Azeri territory, I truly hope they can reach some level of peace during the coming talks 🙏🏻❤
This was a very loaded and one-sided interview favouring Azerbaijan. Mathew Bryzer was supposed to offer an independent view. He is married to a Turkish lady and lives in Turkey. He was US Ambassador to Azerbaijan. He speaks Azeri. The world knows that Turkey was the architect of the last two wars between Armenians and Azerbaijanis. Without Turkeys help it would have never succeeded. So Bryzers biased in favour of Azerbaijan is indisputable. Please make sure you have truly independent people in interviews and load the dice in this cunning way. Very unfair interview.
it looks like someone need to remind you of the first victims of this conflict initiated by Armenia in order to grab land and establish a mono-ethnic state,in nagorno khaarabkh and its’sorounding area. The first refugees were Azerbaijanis from Kafan in Armenia in 1987. As Prof mentioned, nearly a million of azerbaijanis were expelled. 30,000 were killed. Over 600 were murdered in one night in Khojaly genocide, when people were chased while trying to escape. You have to have an armenian cheek to point fingers and write what you have. Phobia means fear - was this not what the armenians had tried to instill with their brutality and rhetoric from the start, to subdue the azerbaijanis and drive them out? You engineered and gloated about it, so don’t complain now. In his book “For the sake of cross” Armenian writer and journalist David Kherdiyan who currently lives in Libya proudly recalls crimes committed against Azerbaijani Turks in Khojali. In the 19th and 76th chapters he says; “Sometimes we were obliged to walk on the dead bodies of Azerbaijanis. I remember well, we made a bridge from the dead bodies in order to cross the bog near the place called the Dashbulaq. When I refused to walk on these lifeless men bodies, the major named Seyran Ohanyan ordered me not to be afraid. I obeyed him because caring out the order of the Commander of the higher military rank is one of the military rules. I was compelled to step on the 9-10 aged wounded girl’s chest and crossed the bog. My shoes and trousers were in the blood completely”. I would like to make a quotation to the book of Zori Balayan, Armenian writer and who was directly involved into the grave crimes committed in Kharabakh. Zori Balayan one of the most favorite ideologist and writer in Armenia, touch upon Khojaly genocide committed on February 26, 1992 in his book titled "Reanimation of our spirit". It says "Our soldiers tacked one 13 years old Turkish child to the window, when we entering house which we held with Xachatur. Because the Turkish child did make a lot of noise, Xachatur cut her mother’s breast and poked it into her (the child’s) mouth. Then I peeled the child’s skin from her head, chest and stomach. I looked at the clock, after 7 minutes the Turkish child died from blood lost. My spirit became proud from the joy. Then Xachatur cut to pieces dead Turkish child’s body and after this we did the same action about 3 Turkish children. I performed my duty as an Armenian patriot and I was sure that Armenian nation would be proud of me”. Let the European Union and US officials know that the Azerbaijani people have more than one million unarmed innocent citizens who were displaced from their homelands from Karabakh and Haystan, they were subjected to genocide and torture by the Hays. The European Union and the United States ignored the genocide committed by the Hays against the Azerbaijani people in the Khojaly region of Azerbaijan on February 26, 1992. This is unfair and unjust.
I'm hungarian, and we have lots of minorities in the neighbouring countries, even the history in my region tells, that if you don't want to start the war over, some displacement or population exchange is needed. I think for the long run whatever azeris says, it's better to live in your own country, and i feel 120K people simply not enough to extend the war with another 30 years out of 10M, however there is a fear that azeries are going further on the long run. I think Armenia can handle the refugees, lots of people relocated from Armenia elsewhere. In Hungary, if something were to happen, i think we have enough housing capacity for 1,5M people. In our case, goverment just added citizenship to every hungarian in the region, who applied for it, and stabilized the labor market for decades, but now as even less people is coming, we are in trouble, and need to live together with migrants coming elsewhere. I think for Azeris it will be a challenge decades to go, where labours can come, that's why it's important to have a good history. I do feel, at the moment none of them has a good record, but unfortunately i should admit, that Russia creates enclave here and there to reach influences, and each decade Russia invades an another country. I do feel the war in the region is not over yet, because it talks about EU's oil supply. I think that's why Armenia is so important for EU, and that's why Armenia's president let that territory + Azeris are lot stronger. In reality i think it was a chess game without Russia and Nato agreement never would have happened. I think for Armenia at the moment that 100K+ for the long run is better in the country. I think something has been offered to the president of Armenia beneath the surface, which can make Armenia for a lot better position. It's used to that in a western way, which is totally different from the eastern way. Who cares about your ethnicity, just work for us, and for our economy. Russia is totally different in this regard. Anyway, you can learn even US history, why Mexico hasn't been swallowed in 1848, that was crutial for the long run, just a reminder if Azeris wants more.

Romania is different. Unfortunately in WW II, hungarians tried to set a more balanced borders, which would have helped for the long run, but as you know divide and conquer. There is a very long process, which eliminates minorities. Out of Slovakia, we see that 3-4 decades and there will be no issues. In Serbia 30% drop within a decade. In Ukrain we haven't even clue, Romania also steep decline. Slovakia is stabilizing. I'm saying, if they don't flee now, they will be moving to west or just Armenia anyway for long run.

We should use that money to help our own people in both United States of America 🇺🇸 and Canada. Europe is too complicated place to expect people to live together peacefully with one another. But European are not capable of that.
Why are you guys even caring? It is Azerbaijan land and Azerbaijans recognized territory, if you gonna care about Karabachs future then interview and film Azerbaijan about it.
The ethnic cleansing already started. Azerbaijan is killing refugees as they flee...civilians...families. Considering the past history between Armenia and the Turkish people(azeris are turks) its like if Germany was attacking Israel and killing civilians. The west intervened in defense of Ukraine...the situation in Armenia requires our attention even more.
Armenians are not "separatists." That's been their homeland for 3000 years. They were ethnically cleansed by Azerbaijan. After blockade didn't work, they took military measures to force people out of their homes.
For all of those who curse and insult the Armenians for staying in internationally recognized territory: 1. This is incredibly foul, especially during a humanitarian crisis - you are practicing racial and religious prejudice, so it's simply proving the point that Azerbaijan is a xenophobic, intolerant, autocratic regime unable to accept anyone outside of their Turkish counterparts, who are equally intolerant and have historically committed genocide against Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks amongst other Christian minorities in the 20th Century, and subsequently illegal annexation and occupation in Northern Cyprus in the 1970s (please read history books in the library or feel free to check the U.S. and European historic archives before spewing so much hate based on propaganda). 2. It's important to see things in full context rather than stomping your feet stating that Armenians killed Azeris 30 years ago and this is their revenge. That is simply sick. Any form of hate war, dislocation, ethnic cleansing and genocide against any community around the world is unacceptable. You have to put into context why all this mess started to begin with. NK is internationally recognized as Azeri territory. We Armenians are aware of this. However, this tragic decision falls on the shoulders of the Stalin regime in the early 1920s, whereby a culturally and historically significant territory fully inhabited by Armenians was annexed to the Azeris, which essentially funneled huge pieces of Armenian villages onto enemy territory. Armenians have lived in those lands for centuries before Azerbaijan existed, and that one brutal and inhumane decision has been the root cause of strife, death and wars between Armenians and Azeris. Sadly civilians on both sides had to suffer deeply. The current mass exodus of Armenians is due to a very real fear under aggressive Azeri rule, who until last week blocked the Lachin corridor connecting NK and Armenia for almost 1 year, and essentially starving the population there - no food, fuel or electricity sources, no critical medical supplies. That is a clear path to genocide, something Armenians are unfortunately too familiar with given their 1915 genocide by the Ottoman Turks. Armenians have every reason to have fought for their lives, their land, their civilization that thrived in NK for so many centuries. Again, I implore you to please check out your library resources for the historical background so you may understand the situation better. Regardless, it truly breaks my heart for those that have lost their lives as civilians on both sides caught in all this mess. Thankfully NK Armenians are being welcomed to Armenia proper with open arms and heart - I hope that the international community assists with as much humanitarian aid as possible to keep everyone and their families safe and healthy, and to keep our neighboring borders at peace. Sending love to everyone in the world - please take care of yourselves and your loved ones ❤🇦🇲

It's not hard to see where Matthew Bryza's blatant bias in favor of Azerbaijan comes from:
1) In May 2010, the White House appointed Bryza as the United States Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

Armenia is a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a Russia-dominated alliance of post-Soviet states that pledge to protect each other in the event of an attack.
Why is Armenia mad? Because Russia for years and years have done nothing to stop or solve the issue. That forced Armenia to be upset. Russia caused it.
And a treaty is a treaty no matter if Putin feelings is hurt. Russia under the treaty has to follow it. NATO does so and Russia is a liar.
Trust me here. Russia will pay for this treason. Russia forced Armenia to be upset at them. That training with NATO troops is the result of Russia not honoring their part of the treaty and Armenia showing their displeasure. Back stabbed!

The western media is making their propaganda very good. They show the other side the guilty one. Always the some European countries and North American countries see themselves the righteous ones. But they misinform other people in the world and for centuries they do the evil things and nobody talks about like it never happened. So many people pouring out heartfelt emotions in their direction today, completely oblivious or willfully forgetting that they were guilty of doing the same to their neighbors three decades ago. Arsen was the sole defender of Armenian cause in the discussion and was therefore on a weaker ground. He repeated the usual unsubsantiated accusations while remaining calm & respectful. But he also made some pertinent remarks on the future course of the conflict.
Why did you bring two turks (at least 2 of them defending azeris' interests) against one Armenian???

Well done Azerbaijan; you got back your country.
What will the Armenians do if they leave on their own? If they want to stay in Nagorno-Karabakh, they have to accept the sovereignty of Azerbaijan according to the laws of that country. This is regular in all the independent countries of the world. For example, Red Indians have to obey American laws in America. This is the case in all countries of the modern world.

why?
So people are leaving because their own leaders told them to go. Those who chose to go, were free to leave. And there is an official offer to stay by those who regained control.
The words "ethnic cleansing" have a very different meaning than this and should not be used lightly.

fact is, That Armenia as a country has existed for at least 3000 years and Azarbayejan 200 years! If there is a land that land would belong to Iran or Armenia
You always say Armenians have been there for thousands of years. Who were there before you? History of humanity didnt start with you. It goes well beyond past. So who were the people living there before you? Why did you take their lands from them? Will you leave those lands when their children say they dont want you there? To the Azeri representative, your aggressive and reactive remarks without professionalism or letting the opposing side say their part, regardless of how much you may disagree, speaks volumes about your agenda.
And in case you missed the definition of ethnic cleansing, it is readily available on Wiipedia, Webster's Dictionary, Encyclopedia Britannica and many other educational resources:
"The systematic, forced removal of ethnic, racial and religious groups from a given area, with the intent of making a region ethnically homogeneous."
Despite your blatant denial against facts, Azerbaijan's blockade of the Lachin corridor in the last year, effectively starving people and closing access to food, electricity, fuel and critical medical supplies leading up to last week's disaster which forced people into this mass exodus we are currently seeing, is by definition, ethnic cleansing.
Bravo Arsen, well DONE!❤❤❤

Because history is in favour of Azerbaijan. Yeah, cry me rivers now...
it looks like someone need to remind you of the first victims of this conflict initiated by Armenia in order to grab land and establish a mono-ethnic state,in nagorno khaarabkh and its’sorounding area.
*_Do you believe in this nonsense yourself? He tells the truth and it hurts your eyes to the Armenians!_*
My brother, hungary, if it has a labour issue, is because of brain drain. It has a bad economy and income. One of my colleagues is a Hungarian,
One note is borders change over years as well as peoples.
@@besg5725Yes, but ethnicity also counts, as we are homogenous country. 96-99%. For the long run, not brain drain will count, population decline, and when all the migrants have been swallowed 2 decades to come, we will cry for Phillines or Thais. Labour shortage will hit within 2 decades everywhere out of Africa.
@@emptyhadYes, but they are relatively homogenous country, like Hungary, you can't compare with UK or Germany. Anyway, hungarians are coming from that region. I'm just saying until we have minorities in Slovakia for example, where we ruled Slovaks 100 years ago, there is always a debate and never forgotten. 450K just next to the border.
That is why, we Noth Americans should stay out of European medieval ethnic and tribal wars. We should get out or NATO and remove all security garranty to Europe.
That lady is gorgeous. I would give up all Armenia for her beauty
Armenians are not "separatists." That's been their homeland for 3000 years. They were ethnically cleansed by Azerbaijan. After blockade didn't work, they took military measures to force people out of their homes.
For all of those who curse and insult the Armenians for staying in internationally recognized territory:
