this just makes me want to hear the actual album again. What a great time for music this was when it came out. An absolute gem of an album at a time when there was a treasure trove of epic and generational, inspirational, and revolutionary music that is still relevant today decades later. If this album was released today, it would sweep the world much the same it did then. NIN was often replicated but everyone failed miserably by comparison (looking at you, Marilyn Manson).

really good stuff! was mildly disappointed that the title track Downward Spiral didn't have faint mario screams in the background (but mostly just bc i thought of that while listening and thought it would be REALLY funny)
I like how on "Hurt", they pick up the background music, which in the original gets almost lost over the vocals and heavy bass. Such a beautiful and yet strange melody to pair it with such a tragic tone. The whole album is a twisted paradox between an almost holistic beauty and sadistic melancholy, and this guy was able to grasp every nuance of the original. It's like smearing a Van Gough painting with a glob of sticky shit, in a good way.

It’s amazing how close some of the N64 sounds get to the original tracks and synth hardware they were using on this record which was from around the same time period. Please also do a genesis one as would be very interesting to see how that reproduces some of these sounds and FX.
This sounds so great I'll have to bust out the better headphones. In the mean, here's hoping we can get Jilted Generation or the fat of the land thrown in the hopper. Hard to think of anything else that could sound as good and iconic with this audiobase... I'll keep at it though, you deserve the feedback. Thanks for the upload, fam. o7
