Putting a faint "I'm wario, I'mma gonna win" in place of the soft robotic voice in the intro to paranoid android is genuiely fucking genius
Fitter Happier is the best song you've ever made
Ohh man… it was good… but subterranean homesick alien was almost better than the original. I love how dreamy it sounds.
Better than the original which I never liked

@@dlynn4304 yesss SHA was so mind-blowing, the drop in Exit Music for a film, and Climbing up the Walls were my favorites here

The Mario Kart starting beeps at the beginning of Paranoid Android is genius!
Yes, and the vocal samples as stand-ins for the text-to-speech parts are truly inspired
*genius
The bleeps actually exists in the real song.
@@suryofarry Yes, that's why it was so clever and funny to replace them with the Mario Kart countdown beeps.
Was going to say the same thing... it is so good!
You've created something truly special here.
Thank you!!
So fucking special

Theres a lot of video game soundfont reimaginings going around, but this one feels very deliberately done to sound as professional as possible.
Well done.
Couldn't agree more!

WILD HUGGBEES APPEARED!
heyo nice to know we like similar music!
I hope Thom Yorke listens to this and it makes him smile.
not sure if Thom is seeing this but Johnny sure is
Holy crap, the whole damn album?
Reject AI
Embrace Nintendo 64 soundfont music
The level of detail in Paranoid Android is unbelievable, from the beeps at the beginning to the soft voices hidden throughout to replace the robot speech…every track receives this same dedication too, incredible job
I love how subtle his work is.
It's missing the weird breath sound effect that appears at 2:24 and 2:30 in the original song, but you might not have ever noticed that sound until you saw this comment. It's an amazing cover c:
@@spagootest2185 Oh you're right! I'd never noticed that, I just went to check
5:18 I lost it at the sudden Wario voice, good job lmao
I was Climbing Up The Walls as soon as I saw this existed and had to immediately play it. I definitely was not Let Down. I almost felt like a Subterranean Homesick Alien while listening. Everything was spot on, with No Surprises. We are Lucky to have such a masterpiece. Uh... Paranoid Android.
I really want to use at least one of the songs as Exit Music (For a Film)
YOU FORGOT THE TOURIST!
You could say... Everything was in its Right Place.
The music really did feel like an Airbag hitting my ears
@@KaleGreenstead-dk3lc Maybe not that one 😂
I can't fathom how incredible this is. In Rainbow Roads walked so OK Nintendo 64 could grab a wing cap and fly. Every single track progressively blows me away more and more. You're not just doing amazing work, you're doing singular work; no one else comes close.
For sure, I already thought In Rainbow Roads was pretty good but this is even better
Imagine what, per say, Kid 64, would sound like.
I'd recommend checking out LarryInc64 if you like this sort of stuff, his work is also fantastic. He and on4word are the undisputed GOATs
Kicking, squealing, funny little penguin 🎶
No surprises sounds beautiful in the banjoo tooie soundfont, truly a master work
I misread this and I thought you were saying that nobody is surprised this sounds good lmao
@@sillygoofygoofballunironically no surprises
Really appreciate your attention to the bassline. You understand how important it is for Radiohead, to get that balance, v. true to the original.
this this this this comment gets it
The soundfont use is very tasteful and keeps the spirit of the album. You're way better than anyone else doing this same type of content on UA-cam.
Exactly. Sometimes I get recommended one of these and think "oh, that sounds like it could be good, let me give it a listen", until I click and think "wait, this doesn't sound right". This channel is the best at it. It has the on4word Official Seal of Quality™.
100% and that soundbyte at 5:15 cements it - It's the attention to detail.
Well I’d agree he is the first person i got into this type of content from, but the maynofu Alice In Chains covers are on the same level as these just because on4word, but arlo did shoutout on4word so that’s props.
When you start listening ironically and end up legitimately loving it. Expertly done
You're stepping up your game with these visuals and the mix of soundfonts. Great work!
Thanks Arlo. I really appreciated the shoutout the other day ❤️
Yesss arlo with the great taste

Climbing up the walls in the goldeneye font is an actual match made in heaven
You are miles and miles ahead of anyone else doing stuff like this. Your work is beyond amazing
everyone else posts midislaps while this guy actually tries
they are just tribute bands
@@spagootest2185 it's honest work :p
@@milomaz1 Nah. Consider the people that make the actual MIDIs, only to have their work stolen by midislappers, typically without being credited for their actual hard work. (Yes I am salty cause this happens to me all the time but my point still stands)
I mean, I like this whole… genre? Thing? Whatever this is. I don’t want to discourage anyone wanting to do this or bring down the products folks have made. I certainly can’t do it.
BUT. THIS IS THE BAR. This is the new standard. I don’t know if there was one before, but there sure is now.
This doesn’t just transcribe Sound A to Sound B. This has soul to it, somehow. This is a deep memetic understanding manifested for each game and each track manifested with shocking artistry. Just…wow.
My favorite album of all time mixed with my second favorite console ever.
Yep. This is going to be amazing.

The only reason soundfont remixes can't be considered for Grammy is that they would crush all the traditional genres and render them irrelevant immediately
your rendition of Climbing Up the Walls is one of the most hauntingly beautiful things I've heard all year. It legit felt like the music to a lost Radiohead-based horror game from the 90s. I swear I could've heard Thom's voice towards the end 😭
Kid A Mnesia Exhibition but it released 20 years earlier
The Skeeter absently floating around is so perfect
Correction, all the idle animations are
Karma Police in the style of Star Fox 64 was really emotional to listen to.
Paranoid Android is so well done
This is your best work yet! love this shit. Even better than In Rainbow Roads. I'd be very excited to see a Kid Amnesiac
Thank you. Yes, I think that will eventually happen!
What's fun it's that the N64 and Radiohead OK Computers were around in the same time period.
This kind of union (and the whole Mario 64 soundfount movement that you created) is as if two, very distinct and heterogeneous, parts of nostalgia became self aware of each other, and blend together.
I've found that this blend gives a new look on past eras
Amazing work as always on4ward, thank you :)
Subterranean Homesick Alien is a masterpiece. You wouldn't know it wasn't a videogame song if you haven't heard the source material before.
Karma Police in Starfox 64 sounds so good! The military snare, and the chugging guitar in the "I lost myself" part. Another masterpiece, keep it up.
I like the Animal Crossing version he posted separately too.
Replacing the robotic voice in "Paranoid Android" with the Mario Kart 64 voice clips is actually genius. Hope to see more of these from you, man. You have a serious knack when it comes to covering entire albums. Not many people can replicate the magic of these works like you do. Great stuff!
Not to diminish anybody else's work but I think you've absolutely mastered the craft of these soundfont covers, so seeing you pump out full albums like this is a HUGE treat!
The Paranoid Android intro alone is wonderful.
Thank you so much for making this masterpiece. This should definitely not be free.
Thank you!
@@on4word well deserved! One of the best Radiohead channels on YT right now! Keep up the great work!

This unironically sounds how OK Computer would have sounded if it was computerised.
What does computerised mean to you
Bro what does this even mean
Zoomer alert
I’ve made electronic music for almost thirty years and I completely understood what you meant by your comment!
climbing up the walls is unreal, my favorite of all the songs in this vid. damn.
Now I can say that my life is finally complete
love this version of Exit Music
my brother in christ, Fitter Happier tho
Also glad you chose OoT soundfont for let down, good choice.
appreciate your hard work to keep us millennials feeling ennui
this feels more like your own take on the music rather than a direct remake of the album, and its really incredible! even though i dont know much about this genre im in love with it and has such a unique sound. you are very talented, thank you for making this
The vocals on Airbag, my guy. Already hooked. Your work is always welcome leaping to the top of my todo list. Sublime.
The explosive ending of Climbing Up The Walls transitioning into No Surprises was amazing
The sound font for the distorted guitar in Airbag is just amazing. Another Classic indeed : )
I was getting tired of hearing the same 4-5 instruments used in these types of vids but still decided to watch this. Safe to say, I was wrong for this video, your use of these soundfounts is fucking incredible and varied and always exactly fitting for the song, it is actually very impressive.
Personal fave is probably Exit Music here, never thought Banjo's sounds would fit so well lol.
Holy shit you did the whole album! I'm getting chills on my neck from Subterranean Homesick Alien. First time I heard that song was the first time I did mushrooms walking along the beach at night.
That sounds really lovely. I wish my first time on mushrooms would've been that amazing.
@@Marcusml333 It was lovely, one I'll always remember. A cool breeze, the sound of waves, and a bright moon illuminating my path. Highly recommend. That was 18 years ago. I was 17.
@@Widderic Wow, sounds like a perfect setting. I'm not sure I could ever get to experience a trip as ideal as that one sounds to be. Especially now that I'm also in my 30s. Youth just tints everything with a special magic that I can't seem to recreate in my emotional self.
@@Marcusml333 That's very true. I my last mushroom trip was in 2017 for the total eclipse. The eclipse was awesome, but the mushrooms were dull. I haven't felt the need to do psychedelics since then as life is very busy and I believe that I got what I needed out of them. DMT on the other hand has been a very gracious medicine to me a few times a year. It's convenient because it only lasts for 10 minutes and I actually have time for it. It's intense, but visually spectacular and way cheaper than therapy lol.
@@Widderic I've never tried DMT, but I don't know if I could handle it. It really sounds exciting and rewarding, though.

One more reason for me to wish we could’ve gotten a Metroid N64 game: we’d get a Radiohead song in its soundfont now.
Pretty weird to pine for a hypothetical thing that could’ve existed if another hypothetical thing had existed.
using those metal guitars in Karma Police was a nice touch
Man, this helped me hear Electioneering in a new light.
I love the melodies from Ok Computer. Very whistleable
Your new version of Paranoid Android is so much better good job
yes
I remember when you released In Rainbow Roads and I listened to it on repeat. This is just phenomenal. Exit Music (For A Film), Karma Police, and Climbing Up The Walls are some highlights for me from my first listen just now. I'm literally just finishing now with The Tourist and even that is just unbelievable. I am moved. This is incredible.
Exit Music's drop in Banjo Kazooie, I absolutely LOST IT
@@ganonbarfYT SAME and just before that cue me ascending to the "breathe, keep breathing" part
@@akalpn yesss with the Banjo Kazooie organ comin in, that soundfont was a perfect choice for this song
Mario Kart intro to "Paranoid Android" sure got me
Not gonna lie bro these mixes got me bricked up, can’t imagine the time that goes into mixing these. Exit music and Subterranean are fucking Godlike on this
bro this is LEGIT my favorite album of 2023 so far, im not even kidding, the soundfonts give the music such a deep extra layer of melancholy and bittersweet nostalgia i might cry with some of these, extremely good work
It’s weird, I listened to Ok Computer so many times that I kind of burned out on it, but hearing it this way is like rediscovering the album for the first time and it made me fall in love with it all over again.
I could never imagine Fitter happier as anything funny but holy fuck you killed it with that one
That sample reveal on Karma Police is probably one of my favorite moments on the album. Amazing work 😁😁
I know this is a complete meme format but I actually love the ones you put out. They feel like a genuine reinterpretation of the album rather than just a cheap laugh. Thanks for putting out another great one and keep them coming!
Each soundfont was actually appropriate for the mood of the song. Big thumbs up.
Also lmao I see what you're doing with No Surprises. Well, three quarters see it..
Karma Police by far my favorite with the sf pick and the faux Roland delay with Peppy's voice was sick
This is the best soundfont project I've heard yet, will be enjoying this for a long time to come. You're too generous offering this for free, enjoyed it too much to not purchase on bandcamp. Banjoe Kazooie organ hitting in Exit Music gave me goosebumps.
One idea, if you're open to them - Where Is My Mind in the Metroid Prime soundfont. Metroid Prime in general has such a fantastic soundscape EDIT: No soundfonts involved apparently, seems I know less about videogame scoring than I thought!
MP doesn't use soundfonts. It's arranged on real instruments.
@@eclogues_ interesting, didn't know that, thanks for the info!
@@eclogues_ it does use specific synth patches though, which can be traced similarly to Soundfonts
@@blakecabral2661 sure but then you're just playing notes on a synthesizer like any other instrument
Damn that marimba-esque instrument from the Crystal Shards Soundfonts hits so hard on Tourist
It's impossible to make something like this without it being at least a little bit of a joke, but you make sure that behind the irony of using video game soundfonts from silly games that include banjos, panflutes, accordions, and other hokey instruments, it all sounds actually great. Occasionally adding the voice PCM samples from the games feels more like a wink and reminder of the irony rather than just part of a greater shitpost. I really enjoy your Radiohead covers, they're quite fun. Great work on this.
This is incredible. I’m excited to see what you do with Kid A, especially since the artwork and promotional blips already look like they’re from the N64
oh man, I was skeptical that you could top the original remix of Paranoid Android, but this one's worth including just for the opening countdown alone. stroke of genius!
and the use of vocals!! fucking hell this is a masterpiece
There is some real intention in the choices behind each of these songs. Great job on the composition.
I love the variation of the games soundfonts SO MUCH
standouts for me are
No Surprises - Banjo Tooie
Climbing Up The Walls - Goldeneye
The Tourist - Kirby 64
Paranoid Android - Mario Kart 64
You really made use of each game's soundfonts to the fullest potential!! Incredible Job.
Always love seeing your work.
Let Down is already my favorite track off of OK Computer but jesus hearing in in the Ocarina of Time soundfont changed something in my brain chemistry that'll never be unchanged. It really felt like I was listening to that song for the first time again. Excellent work on this
The Fitter Happier cut is hilarious, you really are the OG best at this kind of remixing that exploded in your wake.
The greatest part about this is the deliberate choice of instrument for each song like electioneearring, of course that would be best suited with the drums and guitars from Majora's mask. It's decisions like that to change the sound font for every track that make it so much better of a listening experience than somebody that just slapped a sound set into the same notes that were played in the original song. It makes the final product way better.
Incredible use of the percussions on Electioneering!
Phenomenal work. I absolutely adore this whole rendition of OKC. PLEASE, i, and many others would love to hear Kid A with the N64 Sound font.
So excited for the new drop. RIP to any other albums I was planning on listening to this week.
7:53 in Paranoid Android is absolutely perfect … this sort of moment is why I love this genre, and in particular your work!
Climbing Up the Walls in the Goldeneye sound font is so clever! It already kinda sounds like the pause music
There're tons of midi soundfont swaps here on YT, but on4word's are unmatcheable. It's the selection of instruments, small voice inserts, probably also arrangement differences that I can't really tell because I'm not a musician. I'm not that prone to nostalgia but I grew up with N64 games and OK Computer is one of my all-time favorite records, so these two combined really strike a deeply melancholic note for me.
WOW Lucky sounds incredible in the Yoshi's Story soundfont!! I thought it was silly at first but it really blew me away!
Exit music for a film is my favorite Radiohead song. You did it justice
on4word does the best sm64 remakes, not many come remotely close
The whole album tribute is amazing but man, The Tourist was outstading, really loved what you achieved with Kirby 64's soundfont and cutscene.
I can’t pick a favorite, every track is just so good! Climbing up the walls might be my pick, but the other Rare tracks (No surprises and Exit music) are also great. Paranoid android and Subterranean homesick alien are so well done too oof
I LIKE ELECTIONEERING SO MUCH MORE THIS WAY BUT PLEASE DON'T TELL THOM YORKE
"Welcome to-a Mario Kart! RAINNNN DOWNNNN, RAIN DOWN~"
*Chef's Kiss*
Love this. "Airbag" sounds straight out of Turok 2
(I know you've used mario 64 here, but for me Turok 2 is a closer fit)
This is the best soundfont reimagining yet. The Mario Kart race countdown to start Paranoid Android was brilliant. Using the games sound effects to help fill in the unique parts of each song was a nice touch, too.
truly amazing. i loved the witch's laugh halfway through exit music as well
oh my god climbing up the walls is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!
My precious dog Charlie passed away quietly in my arms on Tuesday, July 18th at 4:58pm while listening to this during "Lucky".
This is amazing. Climbing Up The Walls is my personal favourite.
The ending to Exit Music is fantastic
Subterranean homesick alien was made for this soundfont. Such an ethereal, magical and strange song that it only compares to the types of songs you'd find listening to videogame music.
This deserves to go viral like your In Rainbows 64 album. Absolutely incredible, please do more Radiohead albums dude, it’s a real joy to listen to your work!
For someone that was there when OK Computer came out, I feel like I'm hearing it again for the first time. Absolutely genius.
Sometimes I love the internet, this is great
Subterranean Homesick Alien made me tear up a bit, nice job ❤
I LOVE your choice of slightly eerie backgrounds from the games, it really adds to the mood
i've already lost count of how many times i listened to this album, but hearing this is a whole different and fresh experience, it's amazing!
This just made me feel something, a bizarre mix of nostalgia and longing for something I never experienced.
When Wario said "Wario", I felt that.
You can tell you can tell this is something special because every comment mentions a different favorite song. Extraordinary work ❤
Your versions of this stuff are so far beyond others in quality that's it's rather bonkerrific
Thank you so much for making this and for teasing the release. When I saw the link today I got the same emotional rush that I had fleeing highschool to buy Kid A when it was released. Immaculate work.
