When I'm going over the CONS, I say "Micro USB" instead of "Micro SD". Yep, I'm a dummy. *bow bow *curtsy* Also, for those wondering, the ZGCine will prioritize charging the three GoPro batteries first and then begin to charge the internal powerbank👍
That’s pretty sweet! I recently started taking a small power bank and changer to charge batteries when I change them, but this would probably be a better option
This is really neat! You could even jerry rig another small 10000Mah power bank that's roughly the same size that could be attached under the box essentially giving you 20k of combined power on the go you could film for days! Love the content as always David.
Great video. I have had this charger for approximately one month and love it. I can carry fewer batteries, can charge other items if needed, and don't need to worry about running out of power. It easily fits in my carry case, but also easily fits in the small case that ships with the GoPro cameras.
Yes I’ve had one of these for a few weeks and it’s superb. I also use it to keep the GoPro remote charged - that damn thing runs out of power so quickly otherwise. Nice device. Good build quality. An excellent value.
That charging powerbank is amazing. I am soon to be a Gopro hero 9 owner, and the battery has always concerned me. This solves that. I can definitely go all day recording footage with 3 extra batteries, up to 4 micro SD cards, and the addition of the powerbank is absolutely perfect. I will definitely want to buy this!
You know what's better than lugging around a huge brick that can recharge up to 4 batteries? 4 batteries. I guess it's kinda useful for an overnight charge kind of setup, but that could be accomplished with any of the chargers out there for cheaper and faster.
So I bought a Gopro recently and have been going down a huge UA-cam rabbit hole researching accessories for it. I've been aware of this powerbank now for a bit as they've clearly been giving it out to youtubers and people on Amazon to review, so I'm not surprised you're promoting it to. My question is, how reputable is this thing and why is it sold by so many different random sellers on Amazon of which none appear to be the actual manufacturer of it? There's clearly a huge new world of cheap electronic accessories from China now undercutting more established brands and being sold on Aliexpress or Amazon. So my question is again, how do I know the quality of this when it appears to be from a company/brand that basically doesn't exist? $55 is not a lot for a good accessory, but not an amount I want to throw away on something that doesn't work as advertised.
I currently use the GoPro dual charger, 2 power banks and the USB outlet on my motorbike to keep the batteries charged. I might give this some thought. Although, I'm considering getting an Inst360 of some sort and ZGCine doesn't make compatible accessories yet. Thanks for the review.
I hava the 360 and the go pro 10. The 360 is an other level. Fun videos with 360. But I also use the go pro 10 for the things that you don't want to be 360
Been watching your videos for a couple of months and finally hit that subscribe button on this one. This is not the first review of this product I’ve seen, but you’ve convinced me on a handful of other gear for my GoPro, so I’ll probably wind up picking this up as well. Keep up the content man! 🤙🏼
Great idea for anything other than backpacking overnights. Too much weight and too bulky for my liking. I usually carry 4-5 extra batteries for my 9 and 10. I typically only go through 1 maybe 2 batteries a day. I carry a battery back up and just plug in the GoPro's to that to charge them or, on rare occasions I take the GoPro dual charger with me. And, and, I carry a multiport charging cable, that way I can charge my phone, my Garmin inReach and any batteries all at once from the power bank. This unit would be great as long as you do not have to pack it.
It sounds like you might be carrying a similar amount of weight though Gus. You're packing 4-5 batteries, the dual charger, and a battery backup. This has essentially 4 batteries built into it, so you could just bring 3 batteries and this and you might even save some weight. Not sure, but maybe?🤷♂
@@DavidManningvlog Good points and the weight could be about the same. I am not a gram weenie like some hikers. But packability is a concern. With a small battery backup and the dual charger being separate I can stuff them into nooks and crannies with one large "Box" I am limited to packing it where it will fit. Durability is another concern. Not having one in my hands I cannot attest to its durability. Is it well made? Would it survive a 1000ft tumble if my pack were to vacate my possession and go for a spin on it's own as it has in the past? As always I appreciate your feedback and your videos!
This is awesome! I actually already have the duel charger, but I am ordering this tonight when I get home (I use my GoPro camping, hiking, and snorkeling and have 3 extra batteries, because you know beach/woods, no electricity 😁 so no brainer for me), thanks so much showing this
This guys a genius! Just saved me buying the go pro volta and dual battery charger with a 3 in one battery charging solution for technically up to 6 whole charges (10,400/1720mAh=6 being 3 batteries and 1 used battery in x3 more continuous rotations whilst using one of the charged batteries) 🙌🏼 earned yourself a like and subscriber bro! Thanks
Bro I'm new to gopro got hero 9 about a month ago for filming my hunting adventures and vacations I have learned so much from your channel !! Thankyou for all the great information you rock 💪
I have several 3rd party triple chargers simply because the new GP charger is so shallow. But...the fact that this unit has the 10K watt bank makes it great to be able to charge batteries on the go rather than having to wait to plug in a triple charger later and hope that three batteries will last the day while on an adventure. Also, Ulanzi had an adapter for the GP 5-8 batteries, but they have discontinued production of it which is a bummer.
my gopro came with a spare battery, and then I bought a triple charger that came with two batts, so I have four total I can keep charged with a power bank, also have a power bank battery grip, this charger is cool for someone just buying into the gopro ecosystem but for someone that has had countless gopros and already bought a ton of accessories they already have everything this is capable of doing in their bag. nice product though.
As to whether or not you are crazy... I don't really have enough information to make a definitive judgement. Having said that... at this point I'm leaning towards "Yes!" 😏As usual an excellent review and analysis. We literally just returned from a cruise ship with a grand total of TWO usb ports/cabin. Of course the Disney Cruise Line insists on doing everything via their so-called "app" (I'm down on the app since it would not connect to the designated Wi-Fi network on my iPhone 12 Pro Max so I had to use my iPad Pro and toting that thing around the ship was a non-starter. Anyway it was truly a scramble to keep everything charged... GoPro 10 and associated gear, video camera, 2 iPhones and the iPad. This would have simplified things a great deal. Thanks!
@@DavidManningvlog Yup, charge it all up in the evening with a fresh battery in the camera and just rotate them throughout the day in the charger plenty for running both my gopro 10s
Well one could always charge the GoPro dual charger using the USB A port out the back and then you're charging 9 batteries worth of juice at once. But what about the heat? And charging speeds? Surely the poor anker charger can only handle so much simultaneous charging before it gives up. I'd say one should buy the official GoPro dual charger with one's first GoPro purchase. And then when things become really serious, buy this along with one's second GoPro along with a few spare batteries.
I'm buying gopro for a multiday hike in Scotland now and this powerbank + 3 way charger is awesome, specially with limited amount of time to charge up so i'm sold. Also I was super suprised more than dual chargers are not available at all, since the battery is very small
Great video! Seems like a good product for charging multiple batteries. I have a question not related to this product, I have a battery pack that has input: 5V=2A and output 5V=2.1A, can that be used to charge my GoPro 10 (without battery) when I want to use it for a Timelapse? The GoPro website says it should be 1A-2A, and my power bank is 2.1A. Does it affect the camera if a wrong voltage and amperage is used?
Great question Franny! I think that should work just fine for a Timelapse setup. I just looked at the powerbank I've used before and it says the same thing. So you should be good, but I can't say for sure! (Mainly, I just don't want to be to blame if you fry your GoPro🤣)
I saw Danny Black review this same thing last week and I was half a beat away from clicking the "Add to Cart" button on Amazon already. I think the GoPro battery charging hub is pretty cool, and that dual charger from Anker definitely makes it easier when hotel rooms only have like 2 outlets that can be accessed at a time (it seems).
@@DavidManningvlog They really should. Or, if they really want to be nice, two power strips. They can be cheap ones, but one near the beds and one on the desk. Not just the two "easily" accessible outlets on or around the desk.
I wish there was a version that could do more than 3 batteries, especially since this is pretty innovative. I would love to be able to charge for instance, 3 of the batteries for my GP8 and 3 for my GP10
Me thinks that's a bad idea! GoPro batteries come out with that little pull tab. These have no pull tab! Might just get one stuck in your camera if you tried
Another note - you certainly could just power the GP from the power bank off the USB out for extended recordings. I'm surprised you didnt test that, although there should be no reason it doesn't work. I routinely power GP's off power banks for livestreams or on shoots where the batteries can't hold up.
Great vid as usual David. I only use a Gopro and just upgraded from hero session 5 to Gopro 10. so with that unit i can charge 3 batteries and my session at the same time. SWEEEEET!
I’m buying you a beer if I ever see you, that’s an absolute game changer! Thank you 🍻 Edit: clicked your link and bought one off Amazon so I hope you get a kick back from that purchase 👌🏻.
That's an interesting proposition. If I were going on a multi-day motorcycle ride and wanted to film without worrying about charging [much], I'd pick one of these up, so spare batteries would be charging while I ride. I wonder how much vibration it takes to loosen the connection though? As it is, I have dual battery chargers for my 8/9/10/Max cameras, so I rely on that and the cameras plugged into a USB hub to charge them at home, so no need for something like this - at this time. Thanks for putting this out there, I hadn't heard of it before!
Great video man! I run into the same problem all the time. Driving to work right now, but when I get to my computer I’m definitely gonna look up this battery charger. How long have you had it? Does it get hot when it’s charging? Thanks for the great tip!
@@DavidManningvlog that’s great to hear! These are the kind of accessories that just make sense. I wish more people would make them. Thanks for the tip. Ordering now.

Does it have a charge % indicator, meaning when the each individual battery is done charging? I saw the one on the front, but what about for each individual GoPro battery? Looks like a great device. If it had that I’d probably buy.
Each battery has a light that goes from red while charging to green when charged. Then the case itself has four lights to indicate the level of the powerbank's charge👍
I have the "MAXCAM Power Triple Battery Charger for GoPro HERO10/HERO9 Enduro Battery Black" . Suoer slim lined, $15, and if i need 4 batteries, im gonna have an powerbank anyways
Thanks David... When you said i take out a fresh battery put in the used battery and throw it in my backpack and it's charging... I actually woohooed out loud. Genius... Why didn't someone think of that sooner...thanks for the tip... And I like the new intro too
We’ve been on 18 flights in the last 6 months. Power bank restrictions have become a big deal. So much so that screeners are looking for the capacity of power banks printed in the corner of the brick. The writing wears off. So part of the new world order and insanity is to leave all charging bricks at home so when they ask you just say No to charging banks. That’s our experience for Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, S Korea and Thailand. Otherwise that battery charger is 😍
I hadn't even thought of that! The main thing I would be worried about is them getting stuck in there. There's no pull tab on them to get them out of your camera. On the charger, they sit up quite a bit, so you can just grab them and pull them out
So I bought this company’s charger for the Rode Wireless GO II and it was a complete piece of trash. It got so incredibly hot that I knew I was damaging my internal batteries on my mics. It also wouldn’t charge one completely so I stopped using this. I am skeptical of this product as a result.
Bummer to hear that Kevin! I've got the Rode Wireless GO charger too and haven't had heat issues on either of these. You might hit them up about yours being defective
I love this idea. I use a Hero 8 for POV shooting on a mountain bike, dirt bike and road bike so portability and convenience is a must. I currently run a GP dual charger with a small power bank in a backpack, wondering if it makes sense to replace with this? As you said so many pros and not many cons. My immediate thought does go to the size as it's a big lump of kit and although my current setup is a little fiddly, it does lean more to flexibility and convenience.... would love to see follow up features on this one though Dave in future vids? even if it's a little cameo here and there say next time you do a skate vid or a jetski adventure (maybe don't lose your drone next time though haha). Great review mate ❤
I have the charger from go pro but this one is better just for the fact that has the battery bank. More for your money. I wish i knew about this before spending the 50 dollars
I'm definitely ordering one! Living in Japan, batteries cannot be shipped here. So this is perfect! Thank you for all the gopro reviews! I upgraded to the 10 and I need!!
Very informative video as always Dave! Good information on both the Anker and ZECine, so I'm going to have to check both of those out. Do you have smaller form factor power bank that you'd recommend powering a GoPro Hero 10 for an extended period of time (ie long Night Time Lapses). I'm very partial to Anker products because they rarely let me down. But I'm open to other products
Odd question…. Does the ZGCine charge the 3 batteries simultaneously or charge 1 to 100% then move to the next one? If I’m burning through batteries quickly I would prefer that it get one battery to 100% as quickly as possible so I would always have a fully charged battery to swap out. Thanks!!

This looks cool.. I think I might get 1 for my hero 9. I like the idea of changing on the go without needing to plug in.
Thank you sit
I’ve never run out of 3 batteries on a day of surfing or mountain biking.
Awesome find! Thanks for showing this charger off
Does it have a charge % indicator, meaning when the each individual battery is done charging? I saw the one on the front, but what about for each individual GoPro battery? Looks like a great device. If it had that I’d probably buy.
Each battery has a light that goes from red while charging to green when charged. Then the case itself has four lights to indicate the level of the powerbank's charge👍
Excellent a new accessory for the buggy gopros! Thanks god we ave better alternatives such as dji and insta360!
I have the "MAXCAM Power Triple Battery Charger for GoPro HERO10/HERO9
Enduro Battery Black" . Suoer slim lined, $15, and if i need 4 batteries, im gonna have an powerbank anyways
I thought this was a video about the GoPro Volta charging grip
Otherwise that battery charger is 😍
This is definitely a game changer! Gotta order one now. Thanks!
instead of charging the camera you should use the ZGCine to charge the double gopro charger then you could have 5 batteries charging lol.
You should do a review on the new Volta power bank by GoPro it’s even better than those power banks. Look forward to see your review on it soon!
Can I use those adapters with my old GoPro 5/6/7/8 batteries in my new GoPro 10 camera?
I hadn't even thought of that! The main thing I would be worried about is them getting stuck in there. There's no pull tab on them to get them out of your camera. On the charger, they sit up quite a bit, so you can just grab them and pull them out
That's really a game changer! Not to mention loving the content as always David! ;)
& I just realized, it's a power bank, so it won't ship here. But this is awesome!
Hmm this seems better to buy instead of the Volta. I kinda want them to make a fusion 3way 2.0 with the Volta before I cop one of those lol
Ce chargeur est vraiment parfait, merci 👍
How long does it take to recharge the GOPRO 10 batteries from the Bank? Also, are you able charge your phone from the USB port?
I’m dreaming about this 😂❤
Great video…. But how long take charge the batteries …
Technically, that power bank should charge gopro MAX's batteries, right?
Does it tho?
Odd question…. Does the ZGCine charge the 3 batteries simultaneously or charge 1 to 100% then move to the next one? If I’m burning through batteries quickly I would prefer that it get one battery to 100% as quickly as possible so I would always have a fully charged battery to swap out. Thanks!!
Seems like it's charging one at a time, but hard to tell. It for sure prioritizes the batteries charging before the internal powerbank👍
I have the new GoPro hero 10 but I’m having trouble finding the best I watch app to run it by so I had don’t have to dig out my phone every time
Have you tried the new GoPro Volta grip mount.
That is ridiculous and so cool 👊😁
This thing would solve at least three problems I have with my GoPros ...😀
Once you plugged in your iPhone… I was sold 😂
Great tips
