That’s the great late Kevin Toney up there with him! This combination is unbeatable RIP Kevin Toney 😢
He's a quiet GOAT in the industry, very underrated but a bad dude!!!
Me too but you can’t deny that everything he touched turned to Gold
THE ONLY GUITARIST WHO CAN PLAY HIS GUITAR EXACTLY AS IT SOUNDED ON THE RECORD WHEN IT WAS RECORDED
This song is BOMB! I’ve been listening to it for years! 😆👍🏽
I agree!
Miss my Dad so much each time i hear this song. He made me appreciate Jazz music alot. Rest In Peace Dad...........
Same here O👍🏾
One of OG session guitarists & a hitmaker on his own - the great Ray Parker Jnr. Forgot how good this track was. Thanks 😊
He is a dude that loves life so much that he helps others to do the same. Love you Brother Ray.
Sweet Jesus....Still love watching that man play his guitar.
A very underrated Guitarist love Ray!!!
Ray has done soooo much more more than "Ghost Busters". Before it and since! He's a helluva guitarist and song writer.
You can say that again, Super Bass1964. Ray is one of my favorites because of his ongoing musical reputation. That's for damn sure. God Bless.
When it comes to Ray Parker or Raydio I don't even think about Ghostbusters 🤣🤣🤣
What album is this song from? I just bought his first solo album last week.
@@raygu1818 Hello. This great instrumental track, "After Midnite," is from Ray Parker Jr's 1987 cd "After Dark." Enjoy! Blessings.😊
@@lizgoodwin1812
Thanks 🤘🏿
@@raygu1818 You're welcome.👍🏾😊
Such a great guitarist.. and all the rest. ❤
Yeah, the groove is always the same! Great Ray PJ!
I was always upset he never got his props. one of the greatest guitarists around
Jonathan Barnes he surely can groove, back in his Motown days with Marvin and al. But he met enough success with Gohstbusters and didn't compromise after that. Great to see he's still playing !!!
I totally agree
I'll take residuals over props in day.
That’s because a lot of people never knew he played the guitar, they thought he just sang, on his old music videos he hardly played any guitar so he looked like just a good looking singer.
I had no idea that he was a guitar maestro
What a man, his wife is so blessed and fortunate''''''
Beautiful melody by my hometown fellow Detroiter. 💜💜💜
And Freddie Washington on bass. First class musicians, can't be better.
I love this cut The Chords are similar to Janet Jackson's hit 'Funny How Time Flies'
Melody is a little close

Top of the range master collection by Ray Park Jr
I watch this video every week; he calls it, the sexy song; observe.. the way
his eyes, mouth and hands synchronise with the beats, every part of his body is practically
on fire with the harmonics.

Excelente música. Ray Parker jr é maravilhoso.
RAYDIO!
You're so right. I only know Ray Parker Jr. for his pop tunes...and good tunes they were. No doubt. But, just heard an interview with Jay Graydon, who was all over the place doing studio work in the '70's, playing and producing (i.e. the phenomenal solo from Steely Dan's "Peg" is Jay Graydon). So, he mentions Ray Parker as being one of the top studio musicians at that time. I had no idea. But, I have a newly found appreciation.
Ray got his start with Motown, at age 16
An important musician
A forgotten but treasured smooth jazz classic. Who knew it was Mr. Ghostbuster himself before seeing the video or the advent of UA-cam?
