Made that look soooooo easy!!! But, us 400 meters runners, past & present, know it's not. Good days & bad days. This kid is special. This race will snatch your soul!!! He obviously doesn't know this yet, lol. Hope he only finds out when he starts running sub 43.5.....then....it's on....let me add this...he ran a 21.86 200....knowing he still had 200 to go!!!! Crazy!!! Wonder if he'll double 200/400.....hope so!
He clearly knows that this race will snatch your soul because no amount of “talent” or “luck” can break a record like that cause every 400 runner out there knows what it’s takes to REALLY compete in this event
Like the young man from Georgia, all heart and effort. Two amazing young talents who will only get faster as they mature, "clean up" their form/technique and get stronger. BRAVO!
Quincy is going to have to decide whether he stays slim and remains 160 lbs or less (see: Jeremy Wariner and Wayde van Niekerk) to glide through the 400m or whether he is going to pack on muscle and become a power runner (see: Quincy Watts and Butch Reynolds). Right now he looks like an American version of Jaime Baulch.
Running the 200m is what’s going to be encouraged by his peers because it’s cooler to casual track spectators. But if he wants a career from this and not football, he should stay slim!

@@christof123 Man, I don't understand the premise of your question about testing a freshman or sophomore in high-school. Let's ask differently, is there an age that kids playing sports (any sport) should NOT be tested? and Why? At the pace he’s going he might end up going straight to the pros like Erriyon.

Why? He should pursue a professional career, like Erriyon, and work the education around his livelihood.
