When Tuohy and Valby were competing together, my instincts were always on Parker because I knew she had the stamina and speed to do what it would take. But perhaps it was due to injuries that Valby couldn't run her best. BUT now, Valby is in a league of her own, setting multiple records that Tuohy could only dream of... Stay Healthy and Stomp your tracks!
Ehh Clark is in a league of her own, what distinguishes Valby? Is she particularly ahead? Clark has immense court awareness if you watch, a particular skill set that makes her truly special
Taylor is great competition she actually beat tuohy and holds some records stayed with Parker until she decide to kick drop and accelerate the last couple loops faster esch time. Its hard to beat a record being made. Tuohy would not have Been.much faster especially if she is really injuried as she has been.dropoed way in the back by Parker as well in their last two races Its sort of reverse now when parker was injured Tuohy had no real competition. And valby was actually leading Tuohy in races until the very end losing by a few seconds while running injured against Tuohy. When she came back from injury Tuohy could not stay anywhere close to her. Because valby can hold her lead outside only slowing slightly at the end. Inside she Is a true champion getting actually faster at the end of the race and now has a pretty good late kick. Still not class leading kick but she is getting much better there as that was her former weakness.
Yes. Each race has its own different chemistry. Winning sometimes depends on how good the competition is. I don't think Taylor is going to endure over time. She isn't very smart, but she has heart.@@Tigerex966
As much as Tuohy has been fun to watch and cheer for, Parker certainly has such an intelligent approach and execution to her races that I don't there there is much comparison. But really look forward to Tuohy getting healthy and these two racing head to head again.

Maybe the leaders should slow down problem solved. Until the race is won the rules are the same for everone to allow everyone their best time. The leader could cramp up faint trip or quit at anytime, this has happened in rare cased, so its ain't over till its over. You don't show favoritism and punish the all we runners unless they are purposely getting someone off tripping elbowing. They are already losing why make their time slower they are still racing against the others slower runners. Fair is fair. That's the price you pay for being so fast😍🤭
Well for awhile she was, but not anymore. To be the best you best the best...twice...convincingly...when they are at their best..beating their previous best time. but who knows what the future holds. Both are excellent.

I do think tuohy may have injured her self in the 1500 But right after in regionals she ran great and ran great in the cc finals, she just lost with possible sickness. Parker was injured as well and and at nuttycomb had tape and All on the leg or foot.. I think any race tuohy has a record in that parker runs will be broken except for shorter races like the 1500 and mile, until Parker further develops her kick. I would love her to try the mile and 1500 not to win but to develop a much better kick because in the pros its nit do much about records they actually use strategy slow down a race And who had the best position timing and kick can actually beat faster runners in a race. Other than that training on high attitude with Ethiopians and kenyans learning their running culture and breathing techniques and diet hydration can help a lot. They are the best for a reason.

At Nuttycombe Tuohy came back earlier than they planned bc she wanted to run with her team, but she had started training later due to the length of the prior season. (The plan was to first run at ACCs). We never got to see a peaked Tuohy at Nationals due to illness, and it is worth recalling that 15:03 after she had started to wear down is in the ballpark, and if Valby could improve, no reason Tuohy could not. Valby also shows the classic signs of doping. These are (1) the unusual ability to quickly regain peak fitness after injury (see 2022 and 2023) which even her competitors have noticed and discussed where all other college athletes take time to regain form; (2) never showing any signs of fatigue after repeated hard efforts, a classic doping tell; and (3) a sudden, major improvement in form. Sorry but it is suspect as hell and her interviews do not lend credence to her performances.

Tuohy did so so for her first college year because of injury, then pretty much did nothing but win 2 years straight? Was that suspicious even besting an in juried valby multiple times. Looking relaxed at the end after coming from behind. Parker is doing the same as Tuohy did the last two years. Always annoys me to watch backmarkers force the leaders to run around them. They did the same in the 5k.
They want their best time as well all is fair.
Men get out of the way while women stay where they are. Not sure why that is.
