The thing is - in 99% of the new shows and films the main couple is interracial and it's often white woman - black man. It's like black women aren't good enough anymore, they get to mostly play single or gay characters. That's just evil.

Honestly I think it depends with fantasy, mostly on what part of the world it takes place in if you base it in of Earth. If travel is abundant and everyone is all over the place then yeah, that's perfect. If it's one supercontint then that works as well, but if a writer chooses to separate everything just like real world history that is fine too.
I guess the real problem is that in the original work of fiction there are people who will freak out if there are multiple races in the story, and if you focus on one of them then people complain there aren't enough, like in the Witcher books and games designed the fact that there very much are black people in the witcher books and games, and they have no reason to want to be anywhere near the setting of Witcher because they are way better off where they live. I mean, why go someplace that sucks?
I'm working on a comic right now (still very early into it, just working on characters and mythology so far) and almost every human character is white due to the setting. There is one black character I the story who came to this continent and his first interaction with the people were having everyone on his boat getting slaughtered because the believe them to be monsters of some sort because they have never seen a human with such dark skin. This guy manages to escape and is basically alone in this world because no one else knows he is human. So he ends up becoming some sort of rumor as a demon and ends up killing a lot of people because he believes that they are evil, and they believe he is evil.
Basically, I don't think people should argue with the author about how their fictional world works, I just personally prefer to make them more grounded and reality, but if you are writing a story that you don't want to do that? Then great! Go ahead, it's your own world and it works exactly how you want it to, doesn't need to be realistic.
I watched his video on Baldur's Gate 3, in which he went on to say that Shadowheart had a "masculine face" and then proceded to show that in detail, showing a meme with normal SH in one picture, and the other takes her jaw away.
It was that point when I stopped and assumed that Synthetic Man is probably a parody account or a psyop, because it was just so nonsensical that I started laughing so hard, I almost threw up. The fact that someone like that exists is so hilarious to me.
If what he says are 100% his actual views, this man either: never went outside, never seen a woman, has never seen a black person or has never interacted with another person of other ethnicity in his life.
I stopped watching his videos once I realized his whole schtick is hating new and popular things. Dude doesn't seem to enjoy anything newer than a decade.

Synthetic Man is the kind of person that just hates everything for the sake of being a contrarian. I went into the Fallout show ready to hate it. I WANTED to hate the show, but in the end I was absolutely blown away. It captures the feeling of playing a Fallout game into an 8 hour series with each episode leaving you clamoring for the next. Synthetic Man makes a lot of good points about the lore being off, but it is not enough to turn me away from the show.
He actually doesn't there's a whole video explaining why everything isn't retcon that got called retcon and it can actually be explained through the games I don't think there's a single retcon left I think he hit every point light goals healing for example there is a perk in fallout 4 called ghoulish where you heal with radiation implying that all ghouls heal with radiation the only reason you don't see it in the game cuz why the it wouldn't make sense in the game but it does explain why some of them are a little tanky especially the really irradiated ones even though their health bar doesn't ever go up that doesn't mean they can't heal I think that's just a game function thing that wouldn't really fit in with the combat.
Actually Mr house is still a little fishy because he did say he had no ties with vault-tec and he was basically Elon musk doing his own thing but that is the only fair retcon I can find.

Don't be stupid. Consistent lore is a necessary part of fiction. Fallout is something you expect to be a bit wacky, but the universe has lore that should be followed as a basis.

What I would say is that interracial relationships would be something expected in the fallout universe, there really doesn't seem to be any racially motivated agendas in the series, and black/white characters have always been in the series from the very beginning.
However, the Fallout series *is* about hyper xenophobic people. Before the war it was based on geographic location/country of birth and after the war it is about tribes fighting for territories. Europe just before the bombs fell was an absolute powderkeg of scrapping individual states, the US was America first and couldn't give less of a shite about the rest of the world, other than where the resources were (and if they were there, the Americans were there fighting for them, to the point of annexing Canada and beginning to pressure Mexico).
To this point, it strikes me as bizarre that the director/producer that speaks to the actor about shooting the other actor is obviously a British man of Indian descent. I would highly doubt that an American media company in the 2070's in the Fallout universe would have a person of that lineage in a high ranking spot, when there are presumably Americans that could be in it. Even Alastair Tenpenny and Kait are British/Irish immigrants that made their way across the Atlantic after the bombs fell, rather than being of lineage that happened to be there before the bombs fell.

Listen to H.P. Lovecraft/Nick Fuentes over here. Guess he’s not a true fan of the games because when we see the first person character born in one of the editions, they are born to an interracial couple (black mother, white father). And there are people of all races within the games. So he chose a really weird hill to die on.

The show was good, it’s just a lot of hate in the real world. I played all the games, they are good and super mixed too. I have always tripped off how the Fallout universe has such a diverse futuristic world.

Fallout 76 is 2176 in West Virginia
Fallout 4 is 2287 in Boston
Fallout NV is 2281 in well... Vegas and Nevada at large
Its fully okay'd by the people who write the lore so the retcon (as much as you may or may not like it) is canon.

In Fallout 3, 4, and 76 there was lore implying that Vaulttec either stoked the war or did something to initiate the bombing.
I think that’s true, I think they affected the peace talks. In the games the peace talks break down. In the show pre war, the peace talks are still going well. Plus Vault Tec weren’t even finished building their vaults and House wasn’t expecting the bombs to drop so soon. I think the war happened before Vault Tec was ready.

If you end up trying the fallout games again I’d play New Vegas or Fallout 3 to start off and get the best experience, it’ll help ease your way into the other fallout games that are typically ranked slightly lower than 3 and new Vegas. Fallout 4 is solid too.
