Jesse, I wish I seen this sooner, because I've been wanting to do this for the last two years. I will save everyone some trouble on getting a power cord and battery....I was half way there. I had the power cord and than had questions on what power source I was going to use. So I called the Hummin Bird support line to get ampere/voltage requirements and found out they have a unit that plugs into the wall outlet and has the cord that plugs directly into my Helix 9 G2N unit. Such a nice surprise!!!! I believe the total cost came to around $30 shipped to my house. Now I need to run the Cabelas power cord P11 back to them and get my $20+ back. I hope this helps folks out. Note. *** It's not a part that's list anywhere on the Hummin Bird site. Ask a tech!!!!!!
Great can't wait for more...I always try to learn more about these graphs. Hay I use my 12v jump box to jump for your car to play with my humminbird. When I'm done I just plug it in and it charges it's self right back up.
It's a JNC jump and carry. Most people use it to jump cars but I keep it in my boat with me. Its smaller then a battery but if I need it I can jump my outboard. If my trolling motor battery goes down I can use it to run my trolling motor also. I take it in to run my helix when I want to mess around with in the house.
Commercial, tutorial, tips.... call it whatever ya want, Jess. I call it VERY informational!!!!! Thanks a BUNCH for taking the time and effort to do this. Bless you for your willingness to share your knowledge! Oh... yes... a few of us are really anxious about any and all updates that your adding to this series, HOWEVER! Don't feel the need to apologize about "life" getting in the way. Take care of your "bidnez," and we'll wait patiently. Thanks again!
Sportsman 101 ...... Only units I've ever owned. Nit saying the others aren't good, just that the birds are what I know. They units are user friendly and I know for a fact their customer service is second to none.
Mr. Jessie, I'm really glad you decided to do this series. I still got a little while before I get my humminbird helix 7, but I put a deposit on a boat the other day, and these are awesome!
Newell Cherry ....I apologize for just now replying. I wasn't notified you had left a comment. Hey, congrats on the new boat! Do we have a new crappie fisherman, or are you after a different species?
Crappie Craze no worries sir, I'm 100 percent crappie fishing! My boat came with a lowrance elite 7 (a slightly older one) and I'm still trying to work it out. But I did find Saturday late in the day that they were holding between 5 and ten foot over 15, and on structure. I'm excited to be out! As always thanks for what you do and for your videos. Been very helpful to me trying to transition from la to tx
Newell Cherry ...That's fantastic!! What lake are you fishing? I just got off the phone with another La. feller who is transplanted here in Texas, Perry Pippenger.
Crappie Craze I'm up on lake whitney, haven't tried aquilla yet but hear good things. You know anybody needing a trip out let me know, I didn't like being out here for months with no way to go. Lol. By the time I got ready to go fishing my hands were shaking. When you reckon you'll be able to hit the water again?
