This is the first video I've seen about prepping for top surgery that recommended arnica tablets. My herbalist recommended them as well for my procedure, so good to know someone else used them :) Thanks for the vid!
Hey! No worries :) My surgeon recommended them specifically but I hear it's not very common, really. I obviously can't tell if it was only that but I basically didn't have any bruising after my surgery so I'm really thankful for it. Good luck with yours!
@@alexmelton2001 Ah so sorry just seeing this! The dose is "200C". I know that sounds weird but if you look up homeopathic arnica tablets that's the measurement. This is the brand my herbalist recommended: www.homeopathyworks.com/arnica-montana--radix-pills/ and pick "200C" for the potency. As far as how many to take, a medical professional/herbalist would have to tell you that. Mine directed me to take 3-5 pellets under the tongue before and after surgery, then the same amount (3-5 pellets) every day for about 3 days after the surgery. Hope this helps!! I really think they helped me, I healed up really fast and had ZERO bruising!
I'm a trans guy and I am 15. My mom doesn't like the idea that I'm trans and denies it. So my friend is getting me a binder (so she says) and I am waiting for it. I also am wanting to start T but I would need to wait until I'm comfortable telling my aunt about it since she is very supportive. So yeah. Anyways, I also am needing surgery but like I said, I have to wait until the future for that to happen. Plus, surgery is ✨expensive✨ and I honestly don't want to start a GoFundMe but I am wanting a job. So I'm going to have to wait until my 16th birthday for me to be able to work. Which is taking forever ಥ╭╮ಥ
Hey Samuel, sorry for the late response, this got held in spam for some reason. I hope all has gone well in the past year since you commented. A lot can change in that time. My mum was also very much in denial and whilst there's still things she's not great at, I've been able to get pretty far in terms of transition. I hope any conversations you've had went well. A job can be great for many reasons, including money for surgery but also don't be afraid of having a GoFundMe - It's totally fine to ask for extra support if you need it.
@@TheSamThatIAm Yeah the past year has been just fine. I finally got a binder and I been using it. Things have improved a lot, although, the aunt I mentioned in my comment turned out to actually be transphobic/homophobic so that was a surprise. But other than that, everything is just fine. Ty for a response though
Hey there! Sorry this is a late response. So from what I had heard, it was before surgery but then I last advised a friend that and they told the anaesthetist, she wasn't too thrilled as they're worried it may make you poop during surgery. May be worth asking your doctor but probably as soon as possible after surgery because my my is it needed :)
I’m leaving in two weeks for top surgery so it’s time for me to really take all these videos I used to dream about needing seriously :)
Ahh congrats and good luck!! Hope all goes well :)
I have top surgery tomorrow and I'm really nervous. Feels so surreal really. Thank you for your tips bro!
I added stuff to keep myself busy for example a drawing book or a book to read
Definitely good to add too! Ngl I was way too out of it to do anything like that. I did bring a book to read but never even so much as touched it 😅

@@TheSamThatIAm Thanks so much! :D
If you don’t mind, do you know how many mg you took per day?

@@thatoneboy869 Ahh congrats on the binder! Sorry to hear about your aunt though :( I wish you all the best going forwards!
Don't wait to start a GoFundMe, especially if your family is unsupportive.
This vid really helped. Thanks!
Hey! I'm really glad to hear this video could be helpful :)
@@TheSamThatIAm mhm! Thank you for making it!
So when exactly should I take the laxative or stool softener?
