Man I thank you so much for this video!!!!! Yours is the only one I’ve found that fits my Polaris issue. Most all videos are the old school U joint type

Thanks for watching. Be sure to check your splines, carrier bearing and inspect your drive shaft. I have seen them twist just enough to make it off balance. Also before you take the skid plate off check the front diff. Make sure it has fluid and drive it to make sure it’s not going in and out of 4 wheel drive while you are riding. This will also make a clonking noise.

Excellent video, thanks! Just bought a 2018 General 1000 and took it out for our first ride. I can hear a clunking noise that seems to be related to speed/rpms. The faster I go, to faster the clunk, but it's harder to hear as the engine noise increases. Sitting in the passenger seat you can actually feel the clunking right under your feet. I plan to pull the skid plates off and take a look at the drive shaft. Any idea what might be causing the clunking or what I should check for when I get the skid plate off?

Be sure to check for slack in the u-joint, carrier bearing and yoke. Thanks for watching..

@@crankitt825thx for the tip. You’re probably gonna laugh but a couple days after I posted that comment I discovered that the rear passenger wheel only had 2 lug nuts installed. I’m guessing the guy I bought it from was doing some maintenance and forgot to install all 4 lug nuts. Picked up a new set from AutoZone and was good to go, no more clunk
