I have meditated in front of a bee hive before and OMG let me just tell you it was the most magical therapeutic experience. I would suggest it to anyone who does not have bee allergies and obviously when the hive is not in distress (swarming etc). The bees were very peaceful. As we know sound vibration can be very healing. It felt like the bees were physicians buzzing around me accessing any areas that may need a little healing. It was truly one of the most amazing experiences I have ever encountered. I would do it daily If I could. Looking forward to getting my own bees one day.

Re the pig... My friend bought a mini pig years ago. She dressed "Piggy Sue" in pearls and tutus. She is housebroken and washes her own hooves in a pan of water by the back door! She is a very loved member of their household! Unfortunately she was not a "mini" pig and now weighs over 200 pounds!! She is still a member of their family but no longer sleeps on a bed but on the floor! (from Mississippi USA)

Another favorite relaxing vlog of little bits of everything! It’s the beginning of the beautiful season and loved watching you doing ur garden thing, and the walk w/ Ali seeing Fifty-cent, ( so glad to see him!) and when you share your thoughts of what you want to do with the decoration around the house etc is fun! Taking us w/u to the bread baking was a treat too!🍞

Lydia, for the mirror you could use a product called Rub and Buff( here in the US) it is a gilding paste that it easily applied with brush, cloth or even your fingers. And it gives a beautiful finish. It comes in many colors and it enhances the details on your mirror. It dries instantly and it is a no fuss product to apply.

Lovely video Lydia. I really do look forward to them. I'm impressed at how you manage to compartmentalise your life with so much going on. I would get super distracted and be able to only focus on 1-2 things, particularly if they were super exciting business launches. Bravo to you and any tips on getting house work and gardening done when you have a lot going on at work is always helpful - to me anyway

I'd be wearing four hats...in every direction. Can you imagine that people actually go places and have their bodies deliberately stung for pain relief? It's a real thing. There are also places where people put hammocks above their bee sanctuaries for healing purposes. The vibration and sound of the bees if very healing to human beings. Bees are awesome. So happy you both have that for yourselves and again, many thanks for sharing.

Tip for your hair combs; Right hand over your head, pull hair back on left side then with left hand Slide the hair comb in towards the front of your face.
Same for opposite side. No need to slide the comb towards the back then turn to front, that's how they break. Hope that makes sense lol.

Honey, you have so much love to give I hope you can carry through with that. You’re so cute with the lamb issue.
I do a lot of furniture refinishing. I use a stripper called CITRISTRIP. it is very gentle. What I do for delicates is get yourself some extra soft tooth brushes. Apply a thick layer of citrinstrip let sit for a few hours then gently brush off with the tooth brushes. Then rinse off the Piece so there is no leftover stripper on the piece. The citeistrip has almost no fumes and is one of the more gentle strippers I use. I have used this on very old brittle pieces. GOOD LUCK
Lydia you could do a "bag finish" on your mirror with a darker color on top. You just wad up a crinkly plastic bag and gently dip into a water based paint and dab it on top. If the result isn't what you love then you can run a moist rag over the top of it while still wet. Many beautiful finishes have been done this way. You can do it as much as you like for as much or as little of the lower layers shows through. This would keep from having to degrade the wood anymore, since it's so fragile.

I get stingy eyes whenever the air has a high particulate count (ex: pollution or pollen). But I also get stingy eyes in places where the air is heavy and full of spices or smoke. I don’t wear glasses but I think my eyes are just a little sensitive to stuff like that. People that wear glasses might be less affected because they have a barrier

I sympathise with you saying your eyes are burning...mine with the same, i do have dry eyes, and get special drops. Also plenty of warm tea compresses helped. I was gutted as i had to stop using my led mask, and i loved the results of that, it just made my eyes worse. I was just unlucky as it's a very rare side effect.

I am the same as you Lydia, I cry when it comes to any animals especially those in distress.....my dream is to get a website going selling products that I make and using as much of the sales as possible that I will donate to animal rescuers who rely on donations to keep going! I am subscribing as I have been watching a few of your videos that I only discovered you a few days ago, and you have a really honest and benevolent out look on everything and you try to take the best out of every situation.......and you have a big heart.....I love your inspiring words and the way that you speak about the animals, I have two dogs and 10 rabbits and I speak to them in the same way....they all have different characters and each have their own veggie preferences lol! I cannot believe that you also say what I do with my homemade pizza.....dewiscious! I loved that you filmed the bread making course, I loved it and picked up a few techniques from this as I often make focaccia but never tried sour dough nor bagels, might give them a try! Coming from an Italian family, I remember a lot of these techniques usually would get passed down through generations, that is why grandparents are so amazing!

Dear Lydia (& Ali), Thank you for sharing this sweet little lamb's story - hoping this little one will be okay. Just thinking out loud, but, I wonder if there is any chance the owner/farmer would allow this lamb's wobbly leg to be put in a cast for some time until it straightens up and/or heals -- not even sure if this is a possibility. Lydia, hopefully I can help with your stingy eyes. I get exactly the same thing too. It’s a sensitivity to cooking ‘smoke’. When I fry, especially something fatty like a steak, my eyes sting. It’s the micro droplets of hot oil being thrown into the air during the frying process. I put my extractor on full and open the windows which helps. Regarding roasting in the oven, it’s dried on meat juices etc. smoking and seeping from your oven door making your eyes sting. I get my oven regularly professionally cleaned to minimise this. It really helps! Make sure they also remove and clean the fan in the back of the oven to further minimise eye irritation xx

Those lids sometimes create a little moist spot where all the steam hits the roof turns back to water and drips down the sides. They are aesthetic but they can cause problems. Any extra bits on a hive have the potential to cause damp or provide a good spot for slugs to live
Circa 1850 is a stripper that I have seen many furniture restorers use to remove old paint and varnish. if you follow the directions , you'd be fine. It's a beautiful piece. Glad ALi was ok and it was just the car that got damaged. Also, mineral spirits to cleans the stripper off afterwards to prevent the stripper from damaging the wood. There is also another stripper called citristrip, very gentle for delicate pieces.
