First of all you have to understand back in the early days of COD like the original World at War, MW2 etc. none of what is popular today in pop culture was as popular back then nor were micro transactions a thing at all. It was all DLC and people even complained about DLC as well before micro transactions even existed. Anime was watched by many but it was very niche and it wasn't until like 2014-2015 when it actually started to ramp up in popularity and it wasn't seen as a weird, awkward niche thing to do as passtime. And with microtransactions why wouldn't a company like Activision capitalize on that. Yeah it cost money but its purely cosmetic and Activision isn't going to have you earn a fucking Pizza Man skin through campaign now are they? Plus Activision is made up of men AND women? So to just assume a bunch of "men" from a company that also has women, "sat down" and decided to make an anime skin is kind of sexist. A lot of women also play and stream COD so maybe the pack isn't AIMED at YOU per say but its aimed at men AND women who might be into cutesy anime style stuff. And I assure you the company is just lazy its not that ALL of their time and resources are in these skins cause its just not true, they have different sub-sections of developers that work on different things, skins included. But I would say you should complain more about the state of triple-A titles in general then some colorful pixels but that's just me. @@ColossalKaiju
