- The Vitara Brezza recently received an update with few cosmetic changes on the face. However, the big change was the introduction of the 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine that replaces the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel on the car. The new engine makes about 104bhp of power and offers good refinement as well as fuel economy. However we decided to take along the Ford Ecosport to compare and see just how good these rivals are against each other.

In my family I have the 2016 diesel Ecosport and my brother has the 2019 Brezza, however I could see most of the time he takes my car out .this actually sums up the comparison..

I m having 2016 Breeza diesel and my brother has 2019 Eeco sport diesel. Eeco sport is far more superior than breeza. I was in tears 😭 when Ford discontinue
Sir i am your biggest fan. Whenever i want to review any car i see your video first and take it seriously. I just want to say that i am not rich to purchase high end car models, so it is a request that you also make videos on base models of cars and their comparision with other company’s base model cars. No vlogger do it but expects it from you. If you can make such videos we the middle class people will be highly obliged. I know there are people who love to watch reviews of high end model cars but what about others who saves every penny to just purchase a base model car? So it is a request to please make such videos. All the best and take care as we love you a lot than other car vloggers
I would choose Ecosport in any comparison if extra space is not a concern upto 15 lakh pricetag.

Eco sport may be a decade old , but the interior layout and quality seems so upmarket than the brezza and safety full proof and also many features

Simple, if u r looking for a diesel one go for Ecosport, petrol no other option go for brezza.

Hi Pavan : Yes undoubtedly Ecosport is d best in terms of Built wise, loaded with all possible features. Brezza is best in low Maintenance cost, durability & its Boxy Looks - SUV type.

ford EcoSport not even tested on the global ncap. while their tested figo and aspire got a unstable body shell intergrities.

Ford ecosport is the best . Only in Resale department brezza is better.
Brezza is a good car only when you dont consider the EcoSport, but if you do then brezza is just a big no in front of EcoSport. Got a chance to drive the new brezza( friends) to pick up my mom and dad who where stuck somewhere due to lock down, our car is at some other place, the engine is very good but the wind noise , tyre noise are so irritating above 80 to 90 km/hr, i felt exhausted, my parents got irritated as well and complained that i was driving too fast but i wasnt. We have EcoSport diesel and brezza diesel (my brothers) in our family.
The new BS6 Ecosport comes with Beige and Black interiors (from Trend variant to Titanium Plus variant) and doesn't have Sync3 on any variant. Still, it is way better than Vitara Brezza in almost every respect. Even the Trend Variant is loaded with all the essential features and then some. Whereas, decent list of equipment comes only from ZXI in the Brezza.

Have not driven the Ecosport AT long enough (due to lockdown) to get the proper average, but max I managed in my relatively short drive was 14 kmpl on the trip meter

1) build quality
2) spacious (family of 5) so back seat should be able to accommodate 3 comfortable
3) ride quality . Mumbai roads full of potholes.. needs to have good suspension to avoid jerks
4) boot space not a concern as it is a city drive .

You forgot one point about EcoSport - there are huge blindspots due to very thick b-pillars. Hence not suitable for lady drivers :(

How can you compare 1.3 maruti multijet engine with ford 1.5 engine, ford is way way ahead in terms of its diesel engines whereas maruti borrows it from fiat! Dont agree with you on this that ford engine is behind maruti!
Hi Gautam: Brezza is 1.5 L 4 stroke Engine. It doesn't matter whether maruti borrows or makes. Even Jeep compass which has max bhp (175 ) in market is powered by fiat engines only. So don't underestimate Fieat Engines.
Secondly, Yes even i agree built wise & features Ecosport is by far the best compare to Brezza. Infact Brezza scored 4 star on Gloval Ncap safety ratings with 2 airbags only. Finally the its Maruti known for its durability and low cost Maintenance.

Breeza has 2 kmpl more mileage because it is lighter than Ecosport and breeza Engine generates less number in power and torque compare to Ecosport .
Ecosport is Kid and Breeza is Legend car .... You should take race between it

I took it for 11.3 form hyd city. Its veen 3 months now - i m loving it.
No doubt Ecosport is best in features n built wise but only 2 drawbacks back seat is very small & very high maintenance cost. Don't go for Nexon, it doesn't even look like an SUV bro.

11 reasons to buy breeza and not es
1. Es rolled back its 10k cars when they had ignition issues in car.
2. Es has 3 cylinder engine which has much lesser life as compared to breeza which has 4 cylinder engine
3. Es has less milage even their company claims it.
4. Ford isn't a trusted brand and can shut its Operations in india anytime.
5. Ford parts aren't available anywhere
6. Running cost of ford is much much higher than breeza
7. Breeza has reliable k series 4 cylinder petrol engine
8. Ford engine produce much sound after 3 years of use
9. Resale of ford is nothing compared to breeza
10. Ford staff is rude and not so courteous as compared to maruti.
11. Ford has never been able to even sell half a cars breeza does there is a reason for tht reliability.

Ecosport does not provide ac vents however u won't feel the absence of rear ac vents due to its ac compressor provides more power in terms of fast cooling ....
