How Nitin gadkari crushed Tesla's ego? end of chinese dominance!

- in 2017 Elon Musk totally denied entering India with his brand Tesla, quoting that In India taxes are really high and we will not enter the market where we are not allowed to sell and service first.
and it made quite a stir back then
but very recently we saw that Tesla has shown their interest in opening a manufacturing plant in India and this is really big news for the Indian Masses and govt.
Hence, in this video, we will try to answer exactly how our govt. specially Nitin Gadkari ji has forced Tesla to make in India!

Automobile man of India
Gadkari deserves the appreciation 🔥
Bas roads ki condition aur Achhi ho jaye jaldi sedan aur supercars ke liye 😢
Gadkari should also think about the toll tax he collects from these new roads. Alto and bmw has to pay the same amount. It also cause traffic jams in small towns because of these highways.
Many people were questioning the decision of Nitin Gadkari regarding having a strong stand on Tesla. Now, conditions have reversed, and India can negotiate the terms in a better manner.
Yeah nah. Tesla does not need to have a facility in India. Given their automation and very high integration they can build in a slightly more expensive country and still come out on top. This idiot known nothing about Tesla.

Tesla saying Indian OEM's are incapable of manufacturing standards is the biggest irony I have ever heard.
Despite making technically exceptional cars, they are infamous for having some of the worst QC in auto manufacturing industry especially in the price segments they compete.
But you didn't answer the question. That's biggest irony.
@@rajesh1ization410 what question?
yes indian oems are not that good in manufacturing their product quality remains inconsistent over large samples
The question is not whether Tesla is perfect or not.
You cannot be perfect still it’s possible that others are not upto your standard.
It’s not black and white. Let’s say most advanced and perfect brand like Merc is rated 10. Then Tesla may be 5, but Indian companies are not even 5. That’s the problem
Why do you think we only export our cars like Scorpio to African countries which are poorer than us? Because they don’t have other options in this price segment except Chinese cars. The western buyer has lots of quality options (vw in Europe >>> vw in india)
Like Citroen, Peugeot, vw, opel, Fiat, and whatnot
Just because Tesla does not match upto these brands, does not mean that Indian brands match upto or are better than Tesla

Well in my opinion we should promote our domestic brands like Tata and Mahendra. Also i think EVs aren't future it's probably a stop gap solution. EVs also creates lots of carbon at the time of mining and stuff. Hydrogen is probably the future.
Not near future hydrogen is inefficient, costly, dangerous and hard to store lot of r&d will required and then any product of huge r&d is costly . Tesla is using their cars for mapping as well, hence it could be a security threat in sensitive places. Hence China is holding back from using tesla's in govt spaces. 🙏

One more great benefit to consumer is range . We all accept the fact that tesla give a max range compare to india ev cars . So it's a great challenge for our indian motor market .
TaTa is already making cost effective cars .
It's giving electric car with 400 km range within 20 lakh ₹ which is almost 1/2nd of the price of any lowest Tesla car.
The range is 70-80% of what is claimed. 400 is 280-300 irl.
The range testing methodology is different in India vs Usa.
Their avg speed is 60mph vs 25-30mph.(100kph vs 40kph).
Despite the higher requirements they have more range, power and features vs tata albiet at a 2x the base cost.

@@vihaandeo1971 tesla base is 40k usd around 32lac, which is 1/2 the price. I am not comparing these two directly.
But saying we are hindering progress in this ev field by not allowing tesla and other manufacturers to push ev envelope forward in India.
Your research behind every video is commendable
Subsidiaries are partially successful. Example Mobiles where majority of subsidy share is cornered by Samsung and Apple contract companies while Indian manufacturers are still struggling
First we should ask Tata to "make in India" when they were importing the battery and motor units from China for their EV lineup and then sell it using "make in India" badge. So silly 😢
Do tell where battery manufacturing plant in India is located . ;) Even lithium and other minerals required for battery manufacturing are imported
Tata don't know how to make cars.. they just simply do partnership with other brands or they simply purchase them to add up in their vehicle. Tata doing great business but people buy it in the name of nationalism
Motor is not made in China it is made by Valeo Siemens in india itself
Tata is a fake Indian company. They are like European and china company.
Battery k liye lithium khajana nhi h india me
Import krna hi pdega
Jo bhi ho profit toh consumer ka hai 🌝
Baki Nitin Gadkari ji bahut visionary insaan hai lots of respect sir ji. I hope after modi ji aap hi India ke PM bano 🤞❤️
4,00,000 charging station is like a drop in the ocean for a large country like India. Nitin ji should not be so against hybrid engines and reduce tax on those to help consumers as well as meet carbon neutral deadlines
Agar hybrid engine ko tax reduce kiya toh kuch time keliye consumer ko profit hoga lekin long term main desh ke automobile industry ko nuksan hoga kiunki Hamare indegenios company like Tata , Mahindra etc electric cars per heavy investment kar chuke hey or ye hybrid engine main koi Big Indian automobile manufacturers abhi tak investment nahi kiya except ashok leyland. Agar ye tax free hua toh Indian market pure tarah japanese or koren cars se dominant ho jayega jo ki hamare economy keliye Sahi nahi hey kiunki already hamare heavy trade deficit chal raha hey un countries ke sath.
India has 300M registered vehicles out of which just 6milliom goes on highway daily (ie pass tolls direct data from NHAI)
Out of these 6million, majority are trucks and busses which won’t be electric anytime soon.
Even if we assume 50% of this 6million is cars, ie 3million,
Then there will be 7.5 cars per charger on any given day on highways. Over the entire day, you can charge 24 cars on a fast charger (1h per car)
4,00,000 chargers are more than enough for highway.
Within city, you don’t need much charging infra as the distance is small and you can charge at home charger overnight. All EVs come with complimentary slow charger for home usage.
@@shresthsonkar9207 there are only few car owners per 1000, this will change there will be more owners, more people will travel in future, there are a lot of flawed assumptions in your anwer , people dont travel uniformly spread out through out the day, there will be peak times, long queues and more stress for the public in general.
@@tanmayadas68 the intentions are good but the approach is messed up similar to demonetisation and gst implementation. anyways people more aware than you(read: parliamentary panel) has suggested to keep hybrid on same tax bracket as ev.

Good stand by the Govt of India not to be cowed down by Mr. Musk who so far did not realize that he was dealing with a 1.4 billion people country's govt.
How will India reach net zero carbons by 2070, when our cities are starting to look more and more like american cities? You can't walk in the city cause there's no sidewalks, public transportation is there, yes, but once again because of no sidewalks, it feels isolated and disconnected from the city. Roads are full of cars, and now all you'll be doing is replacing them with EV cars. You have zero option for cycling, walking, riding a bike properly, etc. There's almost no alterative to car in Indian cities.
And then you have the idiotic Indian city design thats just an identity of indian cities. Uselessly narrowing roads, random wide roads, some cities are full of U turns, there's zero ways to cross the roads other than just winging it, etc. Open sewers are another great stain on the cities and just the general noise, visual, air, ground, water, etc. pollution in the cities.
And this is something the government can't solve because if government expands sidewalks and puts cycling lanes, bikers and street vendors will take up the new sidewalks and cycle lanes. How will government make the cities roads safer, when people drive like they're all pretending to be in fast and furious or NFS. People don't even bother to use the few crosswalks and just cross the roads causing further traffic. And then there's the constant noise and honking, enough to drive you crazy.
@@shadowlegend1 More cars = more pollution = more noise = lower quality of living. EV's will only kick out the pollution. You'll still have to deal with horns, etc.
Also, what will the government do about hot weather of India which is not suited to Li batteries. They'll catch fires and if they do its going to be a large challenge to extinguish.
Government should be enforcing more cycling, walking, etc. by building sidewalks and encouraging people to use them instead of cars. Easier and cheaper to maintain.
That is not going to happen just because Tesla is building a factory (supposedly) now
It was going to happen irrespective of Tesla making cars in india or not
So I don’t see how this is affected by Tesla’s entry into india. What you are saying is definitely correct. But why don’t you raise these concerns by spamming the same comment on car launch event of every new car?
Tesla has not even launched a car in india yet and seeing the costs, I’d bet that more than 50% cars will actually be for export to SEA markets rather than domestic consumption, which boosts economy and produces jobs
The concerns you’re raising can only be solved if we demolished all the cities after independence and built everything from ground up which is not possible with a 5000y old civilisation.
We proud to our Government 🙏🇮🇳 Jai Hind Jai Bharat 🇮🇳

Next is Japanese manufacturers, ,they need to treat indian market better.
Sub par interiors for price are no longer acceptable. And it's only in India they do so cause they have global cars with really good interiors.
Toyota Innova interior for price, even new Innova infotainment is a joke(when do such good jobs globally).
New Honda SUV will looks like a step in right direction. That car feels like 20+lakh car.
Also Toyota not making their own cars in India is a joke. They have the power and might to capture indian market, yet they treat as third rated market still.
Come into Automobile Business then you will understand that company wants to provide quality products to customers but the taxes are the only reasons for not able to doing it.
Earlier I too used to complaint about this issue but now after involving in Automobile Industry, I understand the reasons, because in business you want to close the deal in profit not in loss.
