- The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is the marque's most popular model locally, and so they've decided to try and offer it to even more people by lowering the entry point a little more. The Life model aims to offer only what Tiguan Allspace buyers need, and nothing more. But have they run afoul of taking out too much, and leaving their new entry-level variant a little too bare-bones?

Verry well said and comment. The safety features is very important for a family car or SUV. Come on VW where is your CSR?
Manual seats.. no ambient lighting.. proven powertrain combo.. no active safety components.. looks like there's less things to go wrong with this car. Only possible problems remain the engine bay's molded hose connectors that may leak after a few years along with the plastic water pump.
May i know Tiguan or Harrier have better NVH?
I love the fact its not full of tech that tells you how to drive.
The lack of blind spot monitor may only apply to the models sold in Malaysia. In New Zealand this car comes with BSM. All the safety features found in the higher models appear in the Life 1.4TSI which makes it an attractive purchase.
Required by law in order to achieve higher safety ratings. The latest update to ASEAN NCAP also requires it - any new models introduced by VW going forwards will have no choice but to comply, lest they're comfortable with a 4-star rating.
Less stuff= less things to go wrong. I have found that having all the gadgets has its negatives such as mouth functioning especially if you have previously had a car accident and had it all repaired the sensor at the front bumper, once knocked never sits right after and you will always get problems!

The car already looks dated 😅.
Looks goofy & cheap. Elegance should be the lowest spec. The Life seat cloth are so coarse and low quality feeling. Doesn't feel like you're driving a VW. Embarrassed to pick up passengers even.
If you don’t like it just don;’t buy it. There are others who appreciate a good car out there. You are just spoilt. This car is very good value for money.
