Got a tfc myself early this June, turns off after running it for a bit when coming to a stop or taking off. I put the booster plug and it still acting the same. Love the way it looks and rides besides the hiccup
I’ve found that changing the gearing to a 16Tooth front and a 39Tooth rear is just about right. Just be aware that if your bike is Euro 5 this will bring the engine light on unless you can switch it off with Tune ECU. If it’s Euro 4 it’s not an issue. If it is Euro 5 and you still want to do it without Tune ECU then just change the front sprocket to a 16 and it’ll still be OK.
Hard to find enough videos to see how the rider's position changes after installing forward controls. I have short legs and 29-inch inseam. I was wondering if the forward controls would be a stretch. Triumph sells them but so few seem to use them.
I suspect you’ll be ok. Remember the seat can move forward or backwards on the bobber. But if you can find a Speedmaster at a local dealers the controls are the same as the bobber, sitting on that should give you an idea of how they &eel👍
Hi Scott.. I suspect that if you can ride with footrests in the normal position it would be more comfortable. But for me due to knee problems I have no choice but to use forward controls.
@@big500 thank you for responding I’m considering buying the bobber black or tfc but just a bit worried about the riding position and thinking about options like forward controls and an up an over riser.
@@sforman789 OK... this is my opinion on the forward controls.. On the Bobber black with forward controls and a Motone 1” riser and 1” pullback, the riding position was really good for me. The problem with the TFC is that you can’t use the risers and the stock bars are a clip on. So without a lot of messing about I couldn’t get it to work. So Bobber black, forward controls and risers is good, TFC is better left stock. Hope that helps.
Andy Sandrex Hi Andy, no still have the Xd, it’s in for a small warranty job and a service, and I’ll get it back when I take the TFC for its first service👍
Just installed my x-pipe on an identical bike. This video was my bible - thank you!
Very VERY informative! You answered a couple different questions I had regarding 2 separate jobs I’m trying to do on my bobber. Thanks so much!
Excellent... must say I loved the "tea time break" we need more of those in Kansas... again extremely informative

That needs looking at mate.... stalling out at a junction could be dangerous..
Mine does the same. Did you find the reason why it turns off during stopping?
just what i wanted to know , thanks mate
Great skill set, nice job. does the standard forward controls of the speedmaster fit the bobber.
Yes👍
On another note. You mention changing the rear sprocket and gearing? I was reading a good start might be to change from a 17T to a 16T front sprocket?

Ordered a set, but they come in silver. They should look okay. @@big500
Thank you fro video. Who is manufacturer of front control? Do you used OEM Speed master parts?
Yes... just oem Speedmaster parts👍
Good vids keep them up ,where did you get your sprockets from cheer's
The rear is from JT sprockets and the front is from square deals...👍
How did the forward controls feel once you rode it? Is it much more comfortable?

Who made the X pipe decat for you? British Customs?
I got it from TEC www.tecbikeparts.com
Nice looking bike. Have you exchanged the Xd for it?
Andy Sandrex Hi Andy, no still have the Xd, it’s in for a small warranty job and a service, and I’ll get it back when I take the TFC for its first service👍
big500 . Excellent, I’m enjoying the bike content. As a Xd owner for 3 years, I look forward to your reviews/upgrades.
Andy Sandrex Cool, thanks for the support.....I’ll be fitting a Zard to the Xd so look out for that one👍
Do the forward controls make a differanse anf can you wear boots with them ?
I’d prefer normal controls but have no choice as my knees are shot. Yes I always wear boots and they’re fine with forward controls.👍
@@big500 I'm not going to get forwards now. Someone said boots catch on the pipes and mark them ?
@@fredstraw I’m on my 3rd bobber and 2nd Speedmaster all with FC. Haven’t marked the pipes yet.
@@big500 sorry I meant the catch on normal foot pegs
I was just wondering would these forward controls fit a 2018 T120 , any one know please
I doubt it John..
