As I recall, we were picked up outside the Hammersmith Odeon at about 08:00. I don't remember all the direction. Initially when we arrived at the Rikki Tic club we were given black tee shirts to wear. There was a lot of down time in the morning where we were hanging about inside the club and outside by the river, so they could shoot close up's or other scenes. ( The catering for the extras was terrible I remember, nothing like Grand Prix) In the afternoon we were inside, the band were playing. We were dancing, cameras moved in and out, I never made the final cut. At one point we were crowded round the front of stage, the band were not on, but movie magic weaves scene and action together. Those are my best memories of the day. We were not needed after that. I seem to remember standing next to the girl in the big yellow hat at one time.

Yes, we looking engrossed in the band. It's a pity because Vox Amplifiers are really reliable. I was in the fight scene at the back pushing and shoving with " care". I was 18 and Yardbirds fan myself. ( living in London, Soho and the clubs were normal haunts)

I saw those Yardbirds at the Studio Club in Dallas, Texas. It was also a small dance club, about the size of the one in this film. Everybody stopped dancing and stood gaping at the spectacle that was to become Led Zep. It was too novel and amazing to keep paying attention to your girl and your moves. Page blew me away when he used the cello bow. There was no stage, they set up and played on the dance floor, and I was within 4 feet of Page. What an experience.

I saw Blow Up when I was a kid, don’t really know how. Ended up getting it on DVD years ago because I liked it. Then, in 2019, this scene basically happened to me. I got attacked by a concert crowd after getting part of a smashed guitar. Someone onstage just stuck it out and handed it directly to me after the curtain dropped. There were a group of girls just jumping on me, ripping pieces of wood off of the guitar body while it was in my hands. There were so many splinters. The major difference is that I had the body, not the neck. And I wanted the guitar, so I ran away and then wrapped it in a space blanket so nobody could see what I was carrying. So I come here to relive the moment. 😂
