Crossing Gates Gone Wild!!!

This is a video of the Ruby St. crossing in Franklin Park, IL. These gates were being extremely retarded the whole day. It can't be the MOW workers working on the tracks (blocking traffic) because all the crossings in town would do that. I left this spot because I got annoyed by these busted crossing signals.

Just saw this for the first time, nice catch. My guess is a bad rail sensor, causing false activations. I don't work for any railroad, just a railfan. That red car that blew threw it as it was halfway up, stopped, and lowered again and got damn near crushed @ about 0:55 is why in most, if not all states, it's law you remain stopped until the gates are up and the lights and bells are silent/off.
I myself wouldn't have bought the BS excuse of switching in the area either.

Did you call the 800 number at the crossing to report the malfunction?
It's possible that something in the track circuit was triggering them. I once saw a Sperry truck go over a crossing, and afterwards, the gates wouldn't go back up.

Well I disn't want to do that because it might have been caused by the MOW workers and a Metra employee witnessed this shit too (Metra maintains this crossing as well as the track).

Lol black car comes up and is like I ain't waiting for this and he turns around starts driving away then red car shows up the gates start to go up and red car drives under it and when he is in the middle they go right back down and back up XD if that was a Quad crossing and the gates went all down and up at the same time then he would of been trapped XD
