6:51 is epic!!! Love the way MJ pounds it over the top and then mocks Mourning's scream. Simply priceless! Shame we lost MJ for almost 2 years to retirement when he was near the top of his game.
- people don't realize why is efficiency is so remarkable. While few other guards like Stockton also had 50%+ shooting percentages, he only averaged around 10-15 shot attempts per game. MJ meanwhile made 21 baskets out of only 35 attempts - that's ridiculous. When the sample size is that large, the fg percentage is more concrete if you understand mathematics. While this is just one game, throughout his career, his usage rate in terms of average number of shot attempts was one of the highest in history and yet as a Bull, he still averaged a little over 50% shooting percentage - that's crazy efficient. Show me any other perimeter player, especially a guard that can average 50% on that many shot attempts - you won't find anyone. And in MJs case, he was efficient across the board. While having the highest overall usage in history until Westbrook this year perhaps, he still rarely turned over the ball and has one of the highest assist/turnover ratios in history amongst those with similar usage rates. Certainly Lebron doesn't come close and is a turnover machine in comparison.
I was at this game ( was14 yrs old in '93) , sat in the 7th row, got milk shakes on the way home, wish I could live that night again! Jordan made it look way too easy, to be fair, Mugsy was covering him early, lol
Oscar Yanes - not surprising as he is a die hard TarHeel for life as are all UNC graduates - especially basketball players of his era or more accurately, the Dean Smith era.
look at the first move MJ made at :31sec. Oh shit. He created so much room between him and the defender and pulled up for the J like it was a practice shot! The GREATEST!!
I love the way the commentators always go for Jordan. Not the Bulls, they arent biased when it comes to calling for teams but whenever jordan has the ball they just love it.
Alonzo blocked Michael's dunk the first time they played during the season, and both LJ and Alonzo talked trash to him during that game. Michael did not forget it.
Back in the 80s 90s, The paint was always full of 3-4 defenders, So MJ just killed them with pull up J's off the dribble. But he also killed them everywhere else too
What's sad is today no one player has to drop 35-50 points a night for the team to win. There are more skilled players. Michael carried these sorry squads every night. He seldom played with anyone more than a role player. Scottie averaged 16 points. They were a defensive team and a transition team. It was always pass it to Michael. At the end of the game the victory was more because of Michael and the loss was due to them failing to give their average contribution. This is why Michael is the GOAT. He worked with what he had
Balthus23 thx for keepin uploading this quality stuff !!!! Does anybody have a link to that Alonzo-Scream-Story where it says that MJ is mocking it !?? I have to admit I never read of that story !!!
What's the story here? Looks like LJ and Zo pissed Mike off before the game. He was taunting them the whole night. He obviously didn't care for Alonzo's screaming routines.
Nobody even comes close to this guy in his prime, and I doubt anyone ever will.
Absolutely❤
The PERFECT player
He was in that era.

MJ schooling both Johnson anf Mourning. Classic GOAT!
look at 5:48 @ the coach's reaction when Jordan makes the offensive rebound! haha! Jordan must've been on every NBA coach's nightmares back then

Goat 🐐
Who else replayed MJ's facial on Alonzo at least 10 times?
Air Jordan, putting on a great performance with 52 points. He was amazing with his 40 points and 50 points.
THE GOAT!
Watching 2019
Haha who would've ever thought, Jordan would end up owning the Charlotte Hornets
Oscar Yanes - not surprising as he is a die hard TarHeel for life as are all UNC graduates - especially basketball players of his era or more accurately, the Dean Smith era.
I mean...he pretty much "owned"every team in the league.🤷♂️
GOAT!

5:40 I want to laugh at the size difference, but Bogues actually played pretty good defense on MJ there.
He banged on Zo then Screamed on him SMH
#GOAT

It was never the same after Jordan retired
Larry Johnson what a great name he's got the first name of LARRY BIRD and the last name of MAGIC JOHNSON!!!! says the broadcaster.......
I never get tired of posterizeing Alonzo by MJ! Btw Balhaus23, your videos quality is every day better and better. Really, really good job!

This game is on NBA 2k12 "Greatest Mode".
This is the same Hornets team that on NBA 2k12.
I wonder what the stats on Jordan and 3 point plays is.
3:24 C'mon they just did a two man fast break going the whole length of the court and only dribbled once.
Just heard on a podcast (Pod Don’t Lie) that director Adam McKay had tickets to this game but sold them to get drunk instead. What a mistake lmao
1st! ilove MJ
They always show this game, but not the one on January 22 of that year. 🤔😂
