    Michael Jordan the greatest of all time and yet so humble.

    1993 was the best version of Jordan in my opinion because he would have stretches where he wouldn't try as hard and get into slumps but as soon as he needed to turn It on he would destroy the competition

      The 91 and 92 version was better. Jordan had more speed and more hops the two years before 93. I think the weightlifting and bad knees started to catch up to him in 93. He could still run in 93 but started going to the jumpshot more. A sore wrist also hampered him in 93.

    I'll never get tired of watching MJ, even if i'ts videos on UA-cam. This is way better than any NBA today. I am so thankful I grew up during the Jordan era. Do we even realize how lucky we were to watch this guy play? The undisputed GOAT and nobody has even come close to legitimately challenging that. His athleticism, grace, strength, tenacity, and will to win are unmatched. Thank you MJ...for all the memories...

    So lucky to have seen a game at the Chicago Stadium. Being 6 years old all I can really remember is the atmosphere. There was always a consistent buzz, never silence which is why a 4 nothing run by the Bulls qued the road team to call a time out before the crowd took over. Watch a regular season game and youll see what I mean. "Remember The Roar"

    BRUH! Those MJ stats at the beginning vs the Cavs! 38.9 ppg FOR HIS CAREER in the playoffs. And in this game another 43. Cavs must have had nightmares when they knew they had to face Jordan.

    Cleveland never could figure out how to beat the Bulls or Michael Jordan. He always went to the basket without any help defense.
    If you guard against MJ, anytime he goes to the basket the help defense must come early and station right at the foul line but even the greatest of defense is never enough against Jordan.

    Fun fact the 93 Bulls team is the 8th worst scoring supporting cast for championship teams of all time. And this cavs team was a good team when they were healthy brad daugherty Larry Nance and Mark price were all in the top 15 of MVP voting

    THE CAVS SHOULD SENT AN APOLOGY TO JORDAN BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH YOU BROUGHT IN GERALD WILKINS, ONE MAJOR PROBLEM!!! STOPPING JORDAN IS NOT A ONE MAN JOB!!!

  • @AnHebrewChild
    @AnHebrewChild 4 роки тому +4

    open question: why would Gerald Wilkins not be starting? If he's their 'Jordan stopper,' and given how well he generally played offensively, why would he not be in the starting five? (Not a novice b-ball fan, but this has confused me since 1993)
    anyone have an idea on this?

    • @davidschmidt1793
      @davidschmidt1793 3 місяці тому +1

      Sanders started over him, but in the end, Sanders played 16 minutes and Wilkins played 30. So Wilkins was in the starting 5 a lot more often than the other who started over him.

  • @edmondlau511
    @edmondlau511 9 років тому +6

    and yet people tried to say Gerald Wilkins was the "Jordan stopper." LOL. My memory only comes up with 3 guys who could play Jordan respectably well: Joe Dumars, Reggie Miller and Vernon Maxwell.

      He was one of the best at defending him but a little overrated in my opinion.
      Check the Finals stats
      Payton himself did not lock him down(except for game 4). Here is the stats for Jordan when Payton guarded him.
      Game 1- 4 points 1/1 with 2 assist 0 TO
      Game 2- 0 Points (Payton only guarded Jordan once off the ball). Although If you count Gary doubling on Jordan then he was 1/2 but I'm not going to count that since he barely was got there in time for the double both times.
      Game 3- 1/3 2 points 1 assist and 2 TO
      Game 4- 2/7 9 points 1 assist and 2 TO
      Game 5- 5/8 15 points 1 assist and 1 TO
      Game 6- 3/4 12 points 1 assist and 1 TO
      So Michael had 42 points in total and was 12/23(52%) 6 assists and 6 TO with Payton guarding him. Also when MJ next met him the next year George Karl put GP on him and he got destroyed for 45 points and 68% shooting

    1993 was jordans best season if you count playoffs and finals and like a patient gambler cashed his chips in and said im out of hear instead of gambling it all away in the next seasons. Maybe toni kuckoc had something to do with it but i think it was gambling winner take all thing! He had the highest scoring average by seasons over wilt chamberlon in regular season,playoffs ,and finals and what more can you get. Going after anymore could have been seen as a gambling problem but there were team challenges like winning more championships but jordan was if you dont have any more challenges for me personally im out! Individual challenges are the most important and team challenges come after. You leave as the best individual basketball player of all time and the bill russell celtics leave as the best team of all time!

    Had jordan been the selfish player everybody was saying he was he would have had wilt chamberlion beat in his top scoring seasons and would have broke wilts 100 point game, but cuz of magic and bird and everybody was shoving down team this and team that and pass the ball jordan had to pace it out over 9 season scoring average. MJ still got out with best scoring average all the way threw! I particullary thought he passed the ball way to much especially when he came back! Id find myself stop watching a bulls game and going outside to ball cuz jordan was passing the ball to much and never got to see a 100 plus point game!

      +George Astafyev yeah and the shitty defense on lebron like danny green had lebron blocked twice on a single coverage in last year's finals. I wonder how lebron would fare in this era doubled on the dribble someone waiting to block. I would guess he'd up his assists to 20 and degrade to 0 points per game hahahaha. dumbass. count how many times lebron got blocked by Green of Golden State in this year's finals. Nowhere near MJ.

    • @boogieloo1831
      @boogieloo1831 7 років тому +1

      George Astafyev - when dumbasses say this nonsense - that MJ faced poor defense, I laugh. 90's is the definition of tough definition and the NBA after MJ retire, felt they had to loosen things up - so the rule changes into effect. Go educate yourself and check NBA.com which explains how all physicality was eliminated to allow for perimeter players to score easily.
      If you watch today, kids live on free throws and nobody is allowed contact - you cannot touch a face forward player today, period. It's why nobody brings the ball up to the perimeter with their backs to the basket - almost nobody can even shoot turn around jumper today. Proof - LBJ had more free throws in 8 seasons than MJ did his entire career - because today's game is designed to allow easy scoring by perimeter players and EVERYTHING constitutes a foul. But today is harder? I know you don't even understand real basketball or understand the rules - so how could you make a legitimate judgment, lol.
      And you make your judgment on highlights?
      I realize this is an old post but too many idiots out there say this nonsense without even having watched MJ. I won't even get into how not one person today ha 1% of MJ's mental fortitude and hunger if LBJ did, he'd have 8 rings - especially wit today's incredibly weak NBA - fucking two teams are competitive, lol. Meanwhile, its recognized by even HOFamers that if MJ played today, he'd average 45 o 50 on 15 free throw attempts per game. Today's NBA is a media driven joke.

  • @markbouldin7181
    @markbouldin7181 6 років тому

    The referees should have rings also for the Bulls titles
