Just went out and bought a new V860III because the hot shoe got loose on my "old" one during a shoot last night. My camera guy told me I could fix it myself, but it would be time consuming. With this video it took me 10min LOL. And I didn't event need to buy a new hotshoe mount (I did anyway) and now I have to return the my new flash haha. Thanks for the video, it helped immensely.

Nice Video, helped me a lot. I‘ve had the same problem with my V860III and opened it up. If you open up the 4 screws inside the hotshoe part, there are 4 more screws. On my V860III one screw came loose and caused the wiggely hotshoe. Tightened the screw and its like new again. Maybe this helps someone of you, reusing your old hotshoe before buying a new one

I was adjusting my Sony version godox 860iii on a stand with an umbrella reflector, but stand angle gave way and I don’t know how i was holding the flash when the stand leaned forward, but the base hotshoe broke off as well as the ribbon connector. So i was wondering if just the hotshoe base could be replaced or repaired or if both the base and the ribbon could be repaired. I figured if not the ribbon, maybe it could be my off camera flash. I have two of them, so one can be on camera and the semi broken one, off camera only
What if I change that hot shoe mount with another shoe mount from another brand or system ? For example I have a flash for nikon system V350N and I change the shoe with a Godox for Sony shoe mount. Will this flash now work with sony cameras ? Wil this flash turn from V350N to V350S ?? Thanks

This is awesome. I've heard of the shoe breaking. I baby my stuff but I'd hate to lose a flash just because of the shoe. Do you just pull the ribbon out? No lifting or clamping it down?
Yeah just pull the ribbon out, and it's easy to slide in the ribbon when changing to the new one

I tend to get ahead of myself sometimes when I follow videos for repairing things and i tore the ribbon off, my hotshoe was only loose not broken so all i needed to do was tighten it. Is there a way to fix this or do i need to buy the replacement now

These hotsoes are ridiculous. I've dropped my Yongnuo flashes several times over 5 years while they were on 2m stands. The hotshoe NEVER broke. 1 week and both my T685IIs are broken. Unbelievable.
My also tt685 hot shoe broken in one fall
i buyed same godox the plastic quality is very bad it is my 3rd time replacement of hot shoe,

Nice instructional video but having trouble understanding where the blue circuit board lays. Someone broke my flash straight off my camera at a wedding so the ribbons are pulled out but the circuit board is now out of place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
