Just shows how Montreal is still the same as always, streets full of cracks and potholes, heck, I even recognized the ones in sherbrooke / Park ! But always a pleasure seeing this footage, still the same Montreal charm.
Hey Lucas ! Crazy to see how montreal looked 16 years ago. You'd be surprised how much the cities changed by now. One things for sure though: You'll find some nice roads, but you'll also find potholes the size of the grand canyon ! Let us know if you're ever back in this city ! There are some nice places to ride now in the suburbs
Fuck yeah Adam 2nd. RIP! Lucas I love the intro to these old videos. I wish you would talk about it a bit more. Who you follow etc. who won, if you feel it’s important and if something happens or thoughts you want to share about Montreal, that particular event. Sort of like you did in line of sight. Keep them coming.
You had to root for the big guy on the mtb the whole time and he kept coming back after getting dropped. My 2nd favorite thing was the clickity clack of everyone running on the stairs. Also what was the pill the woman gave when she said Pill or pepper? Kudos man this is a gem of a video.
awesome alleycat lucas! when we can see you go to the limit on 1 of those tall bikes? or maybe those old 1 with the HUGE front wheel and small rear wheel?
Hey Lucas, Alleycats used to be much bigger but I think they’re on the rise again, at least in my area the veterans suggest that the influx of riders that work for food apps is growing the scene again
they’d pretty much died out here until a few years back, theres only 3 or 4 people actually doing paper jobs now because of digitisation so the vast majority of people attending are the foodies and for sure participation is trending upwards
Damn right - stoked to see alleycats are coming back, people realize how awesome it is to race them - of all the types of racing I do, alleycats are my favorite
Hey Lucas! You're a legend in the cycling world! Fan here from "Line of Sight". Would love to watch the Cycle Messenger Championship you filmed back in '17 🙏🏽

like where?
Like your moms house
Definitely will do
I'd quit riding if I lived in Montreal. The roads are terrible.
@@goldenretriever6261 Coming from Winnipeg this city feels like heaven
RIP Adam Ford. Thanks so much for posting this, Lucas.
Immortal always, very sad though
The skipping tape just looks like any jump cut nowadays!!
This might be the only (tiny bit of) footage of me cycling in my twenties.
Better than nothing 😊
Still going strong till this day?
the guy barking is epic, came down from ig to watch thia guy 😂😂
Love this vintage footage
Watching it again and again, I think 90% of the streets you show now have bike lanes. The city has changed so much.
Kudos always keeping up with the lead pack.

I use those routes often but damn I can't recognize the buildings... but the potholes haven't changed.
As always front row in the big show 🙏 thanks Man
Seeing this vid, it makes me miss my day as a Bike Messenger a year ago.

I can't imagine going down the bridge at this speed today he have a fence lol
Same thing for going yo
I know these streets like the back of my hand, surprising how little has changed over the years.
2022 here and urban alleycat style cycling culture has totally died 😞here in montreal
alleycat and messenger culture have died in so many damn places it's ridiculous
I've been riding the streets of MTL for the last 6 or so years... annnnnd they are still as shitty, and full of cracks and pot holes.
Nice
