That was funny! I'll have to try that myself. I get in the loop of setting a trap because I like to see it blow up on a soldier. I'm also approaching my own 1,000 hour mark on this game. I have about 850 hours logged so far. I've done several new game+ runs too, so I just keep stacking ability points.
I do that often, even more in Origins when Bayek avenges his fellow assassins' death
This is the only RPG AC game that I've spent 300+hours on. Take that as you will.

I’m just here to say thanks for playing this game. I really don’t understand the malice some people have for the newer games. They’re actually very fun (every game has its issues and you won’t 100% like everything… even a game you make yourself). I think they did very good with odyssey with trying to balance the rpg, the story, the combat. I even really liked the stealth, and even if the abilities were op, they were so fun. Odyssey was also very nice to look at.
Absolutely I agree, It was definitely a pleasure playing Odyssey... I would put Odyssey in the top 5 of my favorite games of all time.
For some people it was just too much of it. The Side Mission are very repetetive and and the main missions too. Combat feels at least for me a bit like a mobile game and enemies have way to much health sometimes, the bows are also super weak in this game compared to Origins which makes stealth even worse with less options. After like 30 hours the game just feels like a chore to play. But if you like it than that's cool, I also had my fun with it sometimes
@@warpitexis2341 this game combat is nowhere near a mobile game. what comment even is that. Games are too easy these days. first run hardest difficulty and enemies are not bullet sponges like everyone says. just keep your gear updated. if thats not your thing then play normal difficulty.
Bow is by far the most broken thing in this game if you spec for it. did we play the same game?

@@nickn5419 the combat feels like a mobile game. There is no weight behind any attack and those icons just make it look way worse, although you can turn off some of them which is a good thing. I do play the game on the hardest dificulty to get atleast some "fun" out of it. Enemies are health sponges you're either too blind or ignorant to accept it because you like it, which is fine, but objectively the enemies are. The only things that make some damage or the special attacks which also like like straight out of a mobile game and they have no weight behind them too. Also turning up the dificulty just makes the health sponges worse so your argument was dumb. And all that crap with the 50000 pieces of gear which give you so little advantages that you can't even notice are awful. Origins and Valhalla did it way better. Nobody wants to play for 30 minutes and then has to look through 55 pieces of gear to get a 0.05% boost for stealth and crit damage. Btw the bow is shit no matter what you spec, the only enemies it can sometimes one shot are those weak ass soldier without proper armor. Have you played Orginis? Because it did everything better, especially the bow

But boot up the game, use a dagger, then use a two handed axe. Combat is not floaty at all.

Well I used the default buttons that they gave you, also I tried switching them on both Odyssey and Origins and the game wouldn't let me for some reason.. so I had to keep the default settings.

best part about this game is the mercanary system. worst part is no hidden blade and enemies of ancient greece having titanium armor that takes 100 hits to break, fr though this game is good people are so rude about it like this game deserves more love.

@Cutz They didn't remove it. It is part of the legacy of the first blade dlc.. Pt.1,2 and 3. You have to kill all of the order of the ancients to collect a necklace thing that each of them carry.. once you do you can take them to a specific blacksmith in pilgrims landing in phokis. There he will forge you the sword of kings.

But man I was getting burnt playing assassins build clears, now I have level 3 skills and can play warrior and bowman its so fun to. Do you think it's worth to buy the 1500 exp plus drachmae or just drachmae booster time saver.
@@-Cutz- Nice man! I haven't bought the exp booster. But I do get a 4 hour exp booster every time I start a new game and I haven't noticed a big difference with it.. But you should definitely get the drachmae booster. Helps a ton.

What does 1000 hrs of AC Odyssey look like? It looks like level 43 of 50. Seriously, this is the longest game ever.
I love long games actually... gives me time to play it, I'd rather play a long game with PLENTY of stuff to do then play a game that's short as fuck and then stop playing it because there isn't anything to do. I'm actually quite glad that it's long. But you may not like long games.. and that's okay.

Try it bro, I bought it like 2 years ago but didn't play because of all the people talking shit about it, I'm playing it now and wow this game is amazing, good story, side quests are very good, combat is amazing too, the stealth is cool, I'm doing a poison assassin build and damn it's so cool

I got this game a while back but have sort of been put off playing it due to its size that's apparently plagued with repetition and useless side quests.
The side quests are high quality, compared with most open world games. Pretty much all sidequests have dynamic cutscenes, and many have decisions that lead to consequences, or unexpected twists in the side stories. Most of the hate for Odyssey comes from AC fans that never played RPG games so they are overwhelmed by the basics and they cry that it's a bad game. If you've played other games like Skyrim, Witcher 3, any MMO, etc then Odyssey is a masterpiece.

Purple gear, warrior, health and armour engravings because I hated dying so quickly due to OP mercenary moves and soldiers all attacking at once.

There's is clearly things representing assasins in this game.. yeah it doesn't look like the assasins jumping off the buildings in AC Black Flag. Still.. PLENTY of assasin things to do in the game. Plus I'm not sure if you recognized it but I made the video particularly regarding warrior gameplay if you want assasin gameplay all you gotta do is ask. Simple.

I didn't like any of these open world assassin's Creed games I didn't think the combat could get more tedious than collecting feathers but then they somehow managed it, I'm glad I didn't buy any of them thank you playstation premium/game pass

The combat in the first 9 games was tedious if anything. Constantly counter-attacking or deciding to make a run for it. And once you were spotted it was back to counter-attacking. Ohh wow, Syndicate added a stun so I guess that one gave you 3 possibilities instead of dozens, if not hundreds in the last 3 games. Collecting feathers evolved to exploring complex cave systems full of enemies and/or puzzles but nostalgia still makes the old fans blind. They wouldn´t pay for an AC 3 or a Unity if they were made today, that´s just bullshit.
I did have fun playing the game but the issue I have is that it should not be called a AC game I think that should just called the game odyseey cause it does not have any assassins in it and no hidden blade

I absolutely do. Never enjoyed it and can't have fun in it. Game is a huge pain in the ass. Every other AC game is way better.
Hidden blades weren’t a thing because this game took place way before Bayek forms the brotherhood (aka AC origins) also the weapon you get instead of the hidden blade is literally a piece of Eden, like you got in AC1, AC2, brotherhood, AC unity (dead kings DLC) etc. Kassandra is basically a pre-cursor of an assassin before assassins were a thing, she’s basically taking the cult of kosmos which is what eventually becomes the the order of the ancients and eventually Templars, She also has a very high concentration of ISU DNA, being the first protagonist to be directly related to an ISU. It’s still very assassins creed people just misunderstood it.

Thank you. It makes sense to play on constant scaling because your loot is always your level or higher up so when you level up, you get to use that gear.

Damn that's the most childish combat I have ever seen. Like a fantasy hack and slash. What a joke. Flashy weird long sticks throwing enemies flying away. Fire animations like an android game's clickbait ad. Our character flying up like a god or something. And the attacks are.. jeez.. so damn repetitive. Witcher 3, nearly a decade old game did a far better job than whatever this is. And 15:55 , they copy pasted the AC Origins animation for High profile assassination but instead of a hidden blade stab now the character just punches the face ONE time with a nominal power and that's it ??
And the whole combat is attack, dodge, attack, dodge, god mode flight and magical rage, and again, attack dodge attack. No Combos, no combinations of heavy and light attacks or parry or blocks or anything whatsoever. Its so so shallow. Maybe it's the player maybe its the game I dont know. My man starts posing off as a badass by lighting the braziers and then can't stand his ground for 10 seconds straights. All he can rely on are dodges as soon as he presses the heavy attack button and then run around for a while and then again heavy attack. Even AC Syndicate, an absolute button masher LOOKED better than this.
Thank God I never wasted my money on this. I don't know what Ubisoft was thinking. What's even more confusing is who in their right mind enjoys this. I wish there was a way to tell Ubisoft how much they messed up in this game.

Looks more like the skills of someone who played 10 hours. This player would never make it in Elden Ring or any other From Software game. And I say that from a position of finding Elden Ring quite boring and Odyssey the best game I have ever played btw.

@@ADHDvarietygaming The way to make it funnier and harder is to stay away from magic and summons. I tried that a year ago but returned for the DLC and went solo with a shield and spear. Still easymode but way more engaging.
There are Greatshields that would kill all challenge though. You can pretty much do whatever you feel like in Elden Ring. But you also have to find and figure out what's broken, so if you never played Soulslike, you're probably gonna die a lot yeah. That's part of the experience.
Elden Ring is definitely the easiest, simply because of all the options at your disposal. Sekiro is a way better game. And way harder. You have to limit yourself in all kinds of ways in Elden Ring to make it even close, which is what some people do. But that's their choice. In Sekiro, there is no choice, you just have to gitgud or give up. Don't risk your home over it though.

Quite alot actually. Definitely wasn't keeping track..
I just know 1000 hours causes players to rage an break things because the game is kinda annoying with most things
