Shame you don't have more Odyssey videos... I've lost count of how many hours I've spent running around aimlessly just exploring this world.
_It is_ and the fact that fans are divided about it means but one thing - Odyssey is far less casual, something Assassin's Creed as a franchise struggled to become as it was trying to appease more and more people who would delve into the AC games because they were easy experiences altogether, and Valhalla got AC casual again (which, in turn, was good for sales on Ubisoft's side). By steering a little into the RPG genre, Origins gave the franchise a fresh taste after years of stillness. Odyssey steered a little more, and fans of the RPG genre statistically like it more than other ACs. It gathered more fans and succeeded in avoiding a past mistake Ubisoft had been making ever since the Ezio games: that everything felt and played the same - plus, replay value in more than just the story, as it allows you to play around a make different builds or entirely different playthroughs and challenge runs

I got an outfit for alexios (back when I used to play this, because why waste my time on a game that considers me as not valid due to me playing as a male) that looked great as a proto assassin. Had a white hood, and robe under typical spartan chest armour which also had a wolf head on the shoulder, that led into a white fabric that flows of his back. The wolf was to represent Akexios' link to his father "the wolf of sparta" He also had his fathers sword. I used red flowing fabric from one side of the belt, to resemble old assassin's, black gauntlets one of which has the spartan sybmol, which gives a similer look the the typical assassin's insignia. The leg armour also featured the owl head of athens, which reminds us of the assassin's link to birds. The symbols of athens and sparta, along with making sure the outfit was primarily white, with red belt and red assest on the white hood, and a blue asset on the white robe and legs, was to allow Alexios to blend with both athens and sparta owned locations. I also ensured he had enough armour but not to heavy, so he could sneak around. The metal was dulled gold, so it wouldn't shine to much, and much of the outfit was either fabric or black thick leather, in order to better allow for stealth.

Though, the voice acting was horrible. The graphics were stunning. Everywhere my gf and I looked we gasped at how beautiful every tree, water and town was
What ac red needs is: a mixture of the looting systems from odyssey and Valhalla, a new combat system that relies on the enemy’s defense and aggressiveness for difficulty, a parkour system that prioritizes player control, social blending opportunities, an equipment quality system rather than a leveling or power level one and (finally) assassins in ass creed.
Bro this is amazing! I didn’t know Odyssey got these kind of animations. I didn’t try the game since so much negativity on the game but your video has made me wanna try it out mate haha
Love this game as a game on it's own, but we honestly haven't had a real AC game since Syndicate (in which there are actual assassins not the gameplay part). Origins was an origins story for the Hidden Ones (still an awful name), but was mostly a revenge story. Odyssey was more about the Isu origins than about Assassins or templars and was a family reuniting story. Valhalla has two assassins who do nothing and is void of a story. I am glad we're going back to being an actual assassin. I think there are so many creative options for storylines in this formula for an assassin character that can't be explored in a medjay/mercenary/viking character. An assassin might not help someone in a quest because it would reveal him to his enemies. We might setup bureaus and recruit people for our local brotherhood. This could even be dynamic in a way that if we leave and come back later the bureau fails or succeeds depending on the choices we made in establishing it. This way the templars can be made dynamic as well with them finding new people to do their dirty work if you don't exterminate them completely or don't leave enough people in your bureau to monitor templar activity. There are so many options and Odyssey had the best formula as a game from the newest three (origins was also very good but Odyssey is essentially an evolution and improvement upon that game). Just add back the Assassins and you'll have a very good game.
You saying the game doesn't wan't you to have fun is *so* spot on. There is a 'but' to pretty much everything in this game. You can stealth through entire Forts *but* you have to grind for 10's of hours in order to get a build that's able to succesfully stealth everyone. You can engage mercenaries in combat for a more challenging experience *but* in reality the only challenge there is not falling asleep from pressing the attack button 2535 times. You can get invested in the story *but* after almost every 2-3 missions there's a progression block forcing you to grind for an hour or two. You can explore the world and discover new locations *but* every single point of interest is marked on the map and also has a list of objectives letting you know exactly what you can expect when you get there thus making true exploration redundant. The stealth here is great btw, It's really impressive that you were able to stealth through the entire fort without a single hud element enabled!
Incredible gameplay man. I love AC Odyssey, most beautiful game world. I'm currently playing it for the 2nd time, although 1st time I didn't get far into it.

it's hard for me to say this because Ac2 is my favorite, but this game has the best stealth in the saga. I just hate it's linked to the rpg system. But gameplay wise i think is the best
Glad to see someone playing this without the HUD. Between that and playing on Nightmare with the buff that gives +100% damage with 25% max health, this game can get pretty immersive and challenging!
I’d say it’s an Assassin’s Creed game only because of the modern parts and the Isu lore. Otherwise I treat it as any other open world RPG, and that’s how I find it enjoyable!
I still managed to like the stealth in this game. What bothered me the most is the bad made levelling system. Too many enemy sponges and too much grind.
It is amazing An amazing RPG game that is It is not the AC you know and love, but damn it sells the "badass ancient Greece mercenary" fantasy extremely well
Best thing for Ubisoft Quebec to do is take heavy inspiration from GoT and really explore the Shinobi fantasy. Doesn't have to be an assassin just a damn good game that knows what it is. We all know AC logo sells and that odyssey (and every rpg afterwards) are separate games inspired by AC and within the same universe.
I know people hate on this game a lot but I absolutely loved it, beautiful graphics, amazing story, fun stealth mechanics like throwing the spear, ship battles. My only complaint is how much they went into the RPG elements. It sucked how it was almost impossible to beat someone that was only 5 levels higher than you.
I just started playing this again after 100%-ing Origins + DLC, not sure if i'll do the same for this as it's much bigger, but it's still an enjoyable game. Was wondering if you were to make an Odyssey video anytime soon and well here you are!
My *ideal* AC gameplay would be a mix between the stealth of Unity, the writing of the classic games, and some of the RPG combat of Origins. Sadly it seems Ubisoft cannot do both without messing something up. The closest they've come to that kind of balance was in Origins, after which they misunderstood the fans and went completely off track. Sad thing is, I actually like Odyssey, it's a really cool game for someone outside of the AC fanbase. If you know absolutely nothing bout Assassin's Creed, you'll have a lot of fun with Odyssey, even it's stealth is amazing if you ask me (it's better than Valhalla at least), only problem with it being that you need to get to like level 30 before you see the stealth perks and outfits show effect. And the journey there is agonizingly tedious. Even the story grinds to a halt at that point. This kind of thing wasn't there, or at least, I didn't feel it in Origins, but in Odyssey it was painfully apparent. Well, now I have kind of a pretty good stealth build in Odyssey, and it's so much fun when you specifically build around it. Love clearing out forts while being completely stealthy lol.
It feels like the game doesn't want you to *play realistic stealth, to be exact. The game wants you to have its own version of "FUN" which is flashy godly skills like ring of chaos or the time slowdown skill or the magic arrow that could pierce walls. BTW if you wanna have more fun with the forts, I'd suggest the islands on the eastern part of the map such as mykonos, the color scheme isnt as gray as the ones in boeotia/attika etc and the forts are bigger and more diverse in shape esp. the ones near sea.
For the past few weeks, I've been switching between AC: Unity and Oddyssey (rip storage space). I enjoyed my time polishing my parkour around Paris and finish my end game build in Oddyssey. As time went by, I finally figured what I wanted out of Oddyssey. Now, I've been treating Oddyssey as my "Stealth Assault" Game. I can raid a base sneaky-beaky but it wouldn't matter if I somehow the asscheeks alerted the guards because they all die in a _*single hit*_. Then I just continue on killing the rest in stealth. Full Disclosure, I am using a bugged Glass Build that only left me with 25% Health but I can basically obliterate anyone so long I wasn't careless. You could say I'm pulling a Hotline Miami in this game. In conclusion I think Unity is the Assassin Game I'll prefer but Oddyssey has become my replacement for GR: Wildlands. Been farming those green stones for the Sargon Shop ever since. 👍
@@AltairStealth Yea, sadly I have zero inclination to play the other two. If im going to go through another gacha bullshit to get the best gear stats, I'll pass. I have just ENOUGH of it in Oddyssey. 💀
Anyone who says this game is a masterpiece or great game is wrong. The levelling system goes out of wack within 15 levels of playing and any elite enemy will become a complete bullet sponge which is only worsened by the floaty movement and lacklustre animations. You will literally stab someone and pull the blade out of the other side of them then curb stomp them just for them to get up like nothings happened. The games only redeeming features and they are quite redeeming is the customisation, ship combat and exploration loop. The world is beautiful but in the end all you do is go to a place and kill someone before moving on, which will quickly get boring when the combat system is so janky.

What ac red needs is: a mixture of the looting systems from odyssey and Valhalla, a new combat system that relies on the enemy’s defense and aggressiveness for difficulty, a parkour system that prioritizes player control, social blending opportunities, an equipment quality system rather than a leveling or power level one and (finally) assassins in ass creed.
your gonna be a ninja/shinobi assassin in the game, so idk about the social blending , but everything else valid
@@nocapp_ social blending is a part of shinobi's move.. Hopefully they improve it in ac red and better than valhalla & odyssey

Bro this is amazing! I didn’t know Odyssey got these kind of animations. I didn’t try the game since so much negativity on the game but your video has made me wanna try it out mate haha
Thanks!!
Exactly dude thank you
Incredible gameplay man. I love AC Odyssey, most beautiful game world. I'm currently playing it for the 2nd time, although 1st time I didn't get far into it.
So glad ur enjoying it man

it's hard for me to say this because Ac2 is my favorite, but this game has the best stealth in the saga. I just hate it's linked to the rpg system. But gameplay wise i think is the best

Yea even though it's not really about assassins it's not a bad game but it does get very repetitive after awhile

@@zVampiirePlatypus Did u even play it?
@@alexandruacatrinei1032 yes I've played every assassin's creed game. Odyssey is the worst one it's not close either.
I’d say it’s an Assassin’s Creed game only because of the modern parts and the Isu lore. Otherwise I treat it as any other open world RPG, and that’s how I find it enjoyable!
I've coincidentally been playing odyssey for the first time in a long time this week. It's fun, but such a grind.
It is amazing.
Yeah
If you got the hidden blade in this game I’d love it so much more. I’d even take it if it was only after the Darius dlc

Played odyssey 2500 hours...
It does have to be an assassin
@@AltairStealth I agree but we have already seen Ubisoft play both sides and it went badly... 😢
And you will shoot stealth kills in assassin's creed bloodlines?)
It’s amazing. Top 5 open world for me.
Dear @AltairStealth because of you i learned to enjoy the new ac games thank you so much for these clips
Thank you so much!!
You are very cool assassin's creed game bro!
Thanks man!!
Why didnt you just go with the assassins hood and mercenary breastplate
because i didnt want to?
I hope one of the future AC games brings back the parkour and stealth mechanics of Unity.
I hope so too
Wish we had bayek outfit alexios would look good in this outfit
He would
I just started playing this again after 100%-ing Origins + DLC, not sure if i'll do the same for this as it's much bigger, but it's still an enjoyable game.
Glad u like odyssey stealth bro
It feels like the game doesn't want you to *play realistic stealth, to be exact. The game wants you to have its own version of "FUN" which is flashy godly skills like ring of chaos or the time slowdown skill or the magic arrow that could pierce walls.
BTW if you wanna have more fun with the forts, I'd suggest the islands on the eastern part of the map such as mykonos, the color scheme isnt as gray as the ones in boeotia/attika etc and the forts are bigger and more diverse in shape esp. the ones near sea.
I agree w u, but as purist i always wanna play somewhat grounded. Thats what fun is to me
For the past few weeks, I've been switching between AC: Unity and Oddyssey (rip storage space).
Good balance dude
After lvl 20 was easy the game , I set hard was better. Ng+ nightmare hud minimál, Best looking animation action rpg ,Stylis finishers. I dont know how many mercenarys I have tó kill? Finishing tier S4.)
This should have been caled Odissey: a Animus Story. Or something along those lines.

@@AltairStealth yeah. That's why the ac Odyssey subreddit has more players than any other assassin's creed subreddit. Majority of the people loved this game, it's just that, haters are what stand out the most. This game had a story for everything including side quests. Whereas, side quests in unity was just barebones. And i like that we were able to permanently mark enemies and then plan our stealth. There are really fun ways to clear the fort in stealth. Just like you used smokes and stuff in previous ac games. You can use ur abilities here.
