Tools used in this video - Plastic rivet remover, 5 mm allen wrench, Phillips head screw driver (long and short), 10 mm socket, and a gas tank prop.

would this be the same method for a 2018 750?

I can't say for certain because the bike did have changes done in 2018. I believe they carried the same engine over though so the only thing that would be different would be plastic pieces if there are any changes to the fairings.
