Note how quick Worf's demeanor changes once Picard gets pissed. This is a man who knows what he knows. It took him a moment to regain his composure.

4:21 "Your heart.... is Klingon." I've always loved that part. Also, that nod at Worf's epic bitch-slap. Nice.

As we learn in the Deep Space 9 episode "Apocalypse Rising", using the back of the hand is a challenge for a battle to the death. It was like Worf was saying, "it won't happen today, but some day we will fight, and I will kill you."
And yes, I know at the time of this episode we didn't know about that little bit of Klingon culture, but I still like to think that was what was in Worf's mind.

@@stargazer4683 He's right. It's later established that in Klingon culture, hitting someone with the back of their hand is done when challenging someone to fight to the death. Worf was basically saying that he was going to kill Duras if he ever had the opportunity to do so.

A Klingon officer was temporary serving on the _Enterprise_ , and was not happy with the food on board. "This replicated food is too Bland for the Klingon palate" So Capt. Picard walked over to the replicator and said "Replicator - Texas Chili"

two points - one) the fact that picard was willing to trash an entire treaty for worf and two) the little nod from k'mpec when worf bitch slaps duras

The bottom line is this....The only real honor left in the Klingon Empire were with the Houses of Mogh, and Martok. Even Gowron was an Honorless piece of trash.. Frankly IF they actually fought a war with the UFP..... Starfleet would obliterate the KDF. Starfleet's technological superiority alone would seal the deal. The Empire obviously forgot Humanity is at it's core is ALSO a warrior culture. And when their back is against the wall....Even Human 'Idealism' ends up in the trash, and pragmatic realism takes over.. As Benjamin Sisko proved several times. And it usually ends poorly for those foolish enough to push us to that point.

Perhaps in ships, yes. On the ground, not so much, minus plot armour. Klingons are stronger and more resilient, with back up organs, plus actually bothering to wear body armour. Granted it wouldn't do much if anything against a phaser, but hand to hand it would be great.
Also, although the Federations ships are technologically superior, depending when the war broke out, post Wolf 359 with the Borg or after the Dominion war on who would win. A lot of the Feds good ships were lost to the Borg. And both took a beating in the Dominion War, but the Klingons took a worse beating due to they were the only ones that could resist the Breen's disabling weapon.
Both would have to rebuild and a good opportunity to make newer more powerful ships. Still, the UFP has the advantage in knowledge, tech and resources I believe. But the Klingons are no slouch. Plus still have the unique ability of cloaking and hit and run attacks. Of course all this could change in the future of who can and does what.

Gowon died with honor. He stumbled along the way. He wasn't perfect. He let selfish desires take precedence over the good of the Empire. But he lived as a warrior and died as a warrior.

"Gowron was an Honorless piece of trash" LMAO my dude get the fuck outta here with this garbage, Gowron was already well-known for honorable deeds and battlefield conduct and victories well before he rose to prominence, that's why so many other klingons followed an otherwise young and inexperienced commander - because he had gained honor the hard way early on in his career. His conduct in the dominion war is understandable from his point of view - especially after the fake changeling martok was revealed, Gowron truly felt that he really couldn't trust ANYONE, and so became paranoid and began making poor judgements - but even this is not dishonorable per se. IN the end, he died with honor, fighting for himself and his position as chancellor after being challenged, just as it is supposed to be done. No idea why you would make such a slanderous statement, you need to rewatch tng and DS9 my man

Gowron had honor, but he made mistakes. As everyone does. The fact that Worf yelled at his death, to let the world of the dead know that a warrior was coming, shows that at the very least, Worf still considered him a man of honor.

Duras at the end shows he has some honor by accepting for the moment that he is in fact a son of a traitor. Recall the orchestration here is not accomplished by Duras, it is done so by K'mpec.
