Not great for smoke but better on fish odors in a icrowave so we gave this one a low score.

Berries are also used for cleaning odor in microwave, you just need put a bowl of mixed berries in a microwave and cover it with cling wrap. I used 1/2 cup of water with half of the orange peels for 2 minutes, then wait for 5 minutes, 3 different times. Worked like a charm! Thank you! So much better!
Thank you so much, this worked so well, we had burnt crab cakes in the microwave, so the entire apartment smelled very bad., followed your instructions with the oranges & water, then the baking soda, then cleaned the microwave (again). Previously tried vinegar, also lemon juice, they didn’t work.
That is awesome Sheila, so pleased it helped you out and thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for this! It worked brilliantly. I did the whole sequence twice and now the smell has gone completely. I'm very grateful for the help.

plus 2 rounds with baking soda 2min high/ 2 min wait!!
THANKYYOU SOOO MUCH!!
Perfect glad it worked
I'll try this. I clean my microwave after each use, but accidentally burnt a bratwurst to a crisp the other day (got distracted), and now my microwave smells strongly of smoke. Thanks for the tip -- looking forward to seeing if it works for me.
I used sliced orange in water for 5 minutes mixed with lemon juice then added a spoonful of baking soda and let it go another 3 minutes. The steam smelled citric. Then within minutes the burnt popcorn type smell returned. Tried it several more times. Same result. Chalk this up to urban myth.
It fizzed because the heat. You get the same effect with boil water and baking soda. It’s not the acid from the orange, sorry to say. I’m excited to try the orange!
It works! Microwave is without any burnt smell finally!
Good stuff Radhika. That is awesome
Tried to roast chestnuts in the microwave......did not go as planned, I'll definitely give this one a try, cause vinegar didn't really help so far!
Cool, yum roast chestnuts sound awesome
Not a lot of people know this but in my Panasonic microwave there are
vent holes right above where the food cooks. If your food explodes it
will shoot up into this vent and even when you clean the inside of the
oven you will have lots of food in that vent. I took the cover off and
wow what a mess food was almost spilling all over the inside top of the
oven. Then when you turn the microwave on the fan blows that air out
into your room. I am actually putting a defelector over the holes so if
any food explodes it doesn't go in those holes but air can still
circulate. Be very careful if you go into a microwave oven there is high
voltage. Never plug it in and work on it and discharge the main
capacitor before troubleshooting.
Tried first lemon and later on vinager. It didn't work. Terrible smell! Tried your solution and it worked!! Saved myself 80 euro. Thanks. Jack (Netherlands).
That is awesome Jack, so pleased it helped you out and thanks for sharing. Best wishes to you in Holland

@@Ohhhcanadaa I think he used Lemon and was about to try orange. His comment is at the top there
I'm going to try this out . I left a tv dinner in mine and completely forgot about it .
Please help! My roommate is pissed that I burned some microwave fries and it caused it to smell really bad. He said if I can’t get the smell out that I have to buy a new microwave smh. Even though the microwave isn’t broken and I still heat stuff up in it no problem. Yeah he is very petty and money hungry like that. I have tried everything I read online to no avail. I tried water and vinegar, scented soap and water, left an entire box of powerful scented baking soda inside for 2 nights in a row, used all purpose cleaning vinegar, scrubbed the microwave down with powerful scented fabuloso and NOTHING WORKS!! It’s not as bad as it was but the smell is still noticeable. What the hell else can I do?
Hi I tried it with lemon, I left it for 8 mins, then I tried the baking soda for 2 mins.
It smell much better than before but the burnt smell is still there. My son Burnt garlic bread in it yesterday. I will try it with orange and see.
Let us know how you go. make sure you give some time in between each blast so the oil in the steam can do it's thing. Thanks for your comments.
I tried lemons didn't work hope this one helps.
I had placed egg in microwave for boiling snd it bursted inside. From that time it smell so bad like a rotten egg. Whatever i do not successfull in getting that odour out. Please help how i can get rid of thr odour.
It burst this morning. Please tell me what did you do
I think the egg may have injected particles into the air vents so eventually they will dry out, however in the meantime the heat from the steam will be reactivating the pong. I would give it a real blast with the method, wipe it out and leave it out in the sun for a few hours to dry and dry out the residues.
Thanks for trying this out! My son burnt popcorn a couple days ago. 🤢 And the smell is killing me. Definitely trying this out today.
Thank you so so much, it's work!! Absolutely amazing
Awesome glad it helped
Thanks for the tip.
Thank you ❤it works great for me!!
Thank you so much I burned a Mini cake in my microwave was gonna throw it out and buy a new one . thank you I didn't have to buy one ..

Tina Pierce did it work my little brother just did that
The old Mac and Cheese trick aye? lol give it a go Tina and let us know cheers
@@jaketoscano3135 Oh dear seems like the Mac and Cheese is a bit tricky to heat. hope it helped your brother
I just burnt a ramen noodle cup I forgot to put water in the cup and it smells so bad
OK I am trying this now let's see if it works..
Did it work
I did the exact thing and it made the smell worse and the orange burnt to a crisp
Didn't have baking soda so it still worked but not as good as I was hoping.
Ok thanks for the feedback. maybe hit it again and that could help
@@OdorRemovalDude so! I used to steam onion and garlic in a pyrex with plastic wrap, about 3 minutes. I needed to do just the garlic and I put it in for 2... well, it caught fire!! burned the garlic, seared the wrap, etc. I will be trying your method (and never ever ever trying to steam garlic without water again ...oops) as soon as I can get the the store for some oranges :)
@@OdorRemovalDude well, looks like I managed to do was send more stinky smoke into the house more :( I hope it doesn't last as long as it did before.... gah
just wondering, is it baking powder? or is it baking soda? noticed the very first time the product was mentioned, it was baking soda, then the next two times it was both
Baking soda
Either one works (read the description)
Baking powder is for baking not for cleaning. Baking soda is for baking or cleaning
Both will work
@@OdorRemovalDude thank you so much, I shared your video with my daughter, who'd told me my youngest grandson had put something in her microwave and somehow set the timer for 10 minutes, rather than 1, well you can probably well imagine the results, she told me, it took 3 tries, using both the soda and the powder, and now thanks to you there is no longer that burnt order. she says even the yellowing on the interior looks new,
as for myself each season, I just do a refresher type cleaning, plus I also alternate, once with the soda, the next with the powder, my microwave actually looks and smells as if it's never been used.
i burnt chocolate tysm man :DD
OMG SAME I BURNT CHOCLATE CHIPS
I wonder if cooking something absorbent like rice would work?
It may do as rice produces a truckload of steam, and steam can be a great odor remover.
didn' t work for me.
Sorry to hear that Jewel, hope you can remove it somehow
lol doing this as I watch
Nice how did you go?
same
It didn't work for me
Don't have any oranges, and I can't get to a store, but I got orange juice. Would that work?
I believe not
I think they use the fruit itself because the skin sucks in the bad scent by what I remember
Idk how this happens but I guess my dad forgot his steak in the microwave and we barley use the microwave so it got moldy now it reaks
Should work great on mold too but make sure the steam has plenty of time in the microwave. Give it. ago and let us know cheers
I fucking burnt my popcorn and had to quickly do a fast job of cleaning that hullshit it really pissed me off
Would lime work? Lol
Idalouise Mete it happened to me today I put chips in the microwave for 30 secs and I got in trouble
daily tea what kind of response is that? You completely disregarded her inquiry and replied with a story of your own
monty fresh Maybe they replied to the wrong comment?
I think Orange has more oil in the skin which is what you need.
Crap I didn’t finish the video and put it in for 2 min and went to the bathroom. I’m scared lol
use a potato its cheaper
