I have a caravan and in the winter when I close it I use silica cat litter, rice and salt. This absorbs damp. You could try this until you can sort it out

Hi Joe, woodburners are usually a lot more than £300. I live in basically a shed and have a portable woodburner. I did have a 3kw but you have to feed it all the time so now I have a 9kw with a bigger flue. It is much warmer and you don't have to feed it all the time.
I did live in my van and had a diesel heater which works so well and a lot cheaper than a woodburner and doesn't use a lot of fuel at all. Very cheap to run and you would have no issues installing it yourself. Any issues just ask.

I wish I was there. I completely re-skinned the inside of a 28’ trailer (caravan) from the 1970s. I learned a lot doing it, it wasn’t impossible. You can do it.

A diesel heater might be better than a wood stove. Although a fire pit outside is a good option to make good use of the wood around you but you don’t want to smell of smoke too often. It’s so nice to see you growing something.

It's always good to catch up & see how you're getting along. I hope we're in for a warm summer as it's done nothing but rain & we had hail showers yesterday. You're doing amazing Joe. I'm excited to see the changes you're making. Well done 👍

Oooh Joe, we just had a small wood burner put in our house. $3k for the stove, hearth, flu kit and installation. So expensive, but so worth it. Keep your eye on marketplace as the weather warms up. We saw a couple come up free. Also check out any recycled building materials places, demolishing mobs, etc. Never know what you might find.

What a fantastic adventure you are on now. Remember the growing season up North is later and shorter than the South. The log burner in my opinion will be too hot and dangerous for your tourer. Build a skirt around the base to keep the cold out in the winter. I live in a static near Carlisle and the cold comes up through the floor. All the best and keep busy 👍

I watched your channel years ago and loved your incredibly hard work, productivity and creativity. But at one point, I thought you were making poor life decisions and I couldn’t watch anymore. It was worrying to me and not as uplifting as I know you can be. I’m glad to see you again and I’m looking forward to seeing how you go. All the best Joe.

Hey Joe so pleased to see you starting to grow things, that will be really good for your mental health. Rather than a full size log burner have you given any thought to a small rocket stove like the ones used for camping? You have quite a small space and a full size stove may be too much. Looking forward to more videos of your progress.

I wouldn’t put a wood burner in a caravan, unless you fit it properly, certainly not without a carbon monoxide alarm. If you can find old bricks build a rocket stove on a couple of thick paving slabs on your deck. To dry out the van you are going to have to rely on good old fresh air through the spring and summer.

Hi Joe, I'm loving your video's - just wish it was under better circumstances for you. Is there anyway you can get the PolyTunnel back - imagine what you could grow if you did. And is there anyway at all for you to get Winter back? It would be great for you and her if that was possible. Take care Joe.
