- Today in Dark and Darker, we adventure into the high roller goblin caves to test out the "Frostlight Crystal Sword", a recent addition in the latest patch. I've seen no one attempt to use these weapons, and I decided to try it for myself!

Haven’t even bothered trying it on wiz/warlock because of how good it is on fighter, I agree. Casters in general right now are down bad in my opinion, except healing cleric maybe.
Just like bows are better on fighters than actual rangers 😂

@@MrrChurex eh, that’s debatable. I mean I understand if you’re looking at raw damage numbers but rangers have access to the strongest item in the game that is the hunting trap. It’s a death sentence anywhere outside of maybe trios and you get some help, they interact with doors faster and they also have higher innate speed which as we should all know by now is king in this game.
Shotgun is insane and so is the ability to knock players back. A good ranger will beat a good fighter most of the time, even if they don’t get the klll they should be able to kite.
Fighter is king atm, weapon mastery was already too strong and they buff it lol. Time for some absurd builds to shine for a bit!

Good feedback, I’m open to changing the lil wizard guy to something more permanent/better but I’ll have to experiment a bit more til I find one that feels the best

@@user-wh2zi9ww9e No, it’s not really needed in my opinion, I much prefer agility/action speed. Swinging faster/running faster will always be better than hitting a bit harder to me personally! If I was going to do a will build it’d have to be on warlock + demon armor, that could be decent for sure
I have a question what is the difference between frostlight and normal weapons?
@@candemirdogen5214 Not much tbh, they’re mainly superficial, but they have an additional roll I believe and do slightly more damage than normal.. the icefang is the best frost light weapon for sure because it actually adds 1 true phys.. but the other frostlight weapons, like this crystal sword, really aren’t that much different except the additional roll
@@terrellsdoomed oh thats nice do weapon enchantments only work when equiped? Like do the random rolls lets say damage resistance only apply when the weapon is in your hands? Ive read about it on reddit once but im not sure but that would mean that offensive rolls like true damage and the like would be more beneficial if you want to not waste attributes. Also does spell Power and magical damage also increase magical healing? Im sorry to bombard you with questions but this game is complex and im quite new to it.
@@candemirdogen5214 You're fine bro! I remember being there, no worries! As for if enchantments/rolls work, it depends on the gear piece. For all jewelry or clothing items, any roll works 100% of the time.. BUT for weapons, the rolls only apply if you have it out. So if you have a falchion (+1 max health) and a crossbow (2 physical power), you'd only receive 1 health with the falchion out, and only receive 2 physical power with the crossbow out. If you have fists out, you get no benefits from either. Magical power increases magical damage but not magical healing, except for ONE case. On warlock, using life drain, the amount of DMG you do with life drain determines how much health you get back from it. So magical damage for life drain would be the only example of getting more magical healing out of magical damage. Curse of pain, power of sacrifice, etc do not work like that though, they are only reliant on magical healing. Life drain kinda sucks now anyways so I'd just generally say magical damage and magical healing have nothing in common. The best thing to look for as a caster is +1 true magic damage or +1 add magic damage IMO anyways
@@terrellsdoomed ok thank you for the replies. So having stats on weapons only apply if you have them out so defensive skills would be not so useful if you lets say get jumped with your pants down as an example looting crates or having your secondary lets say spell book out. Neat.
