In this film I hope to give a short insight to wreck fishing and a few tips that might help you pull out a nice fish or two. #wreckfishing #fishingwrecks #wilsonflyer #pollock
So pleased to hear you’ve decided to share your knowledge and tips by starting your own channel. Always enjoyed you joining Graham as there’s so much know how given in a friendly manner from you both. Good luck with everything & don’t forget the odd catch & cook as Graham lauds your cooking experience. Cheers Wayne 👍🐟
Thanks. Watching from New Zealand we use soft plastics here, with braid and fluorocarbon trace. We use no swivels, we tie the leader to the braid using an allbright or pr knot. No booms or heavy weights 15 pound braid casting ahead of the drift 5/8 to 1oz jighead. Graphite 7' rod, i use a Daiwa Certate 3000 reel. Can handle fish to 35 lbs
Great video a cracking pb there. That's going to take some beating!! Always great to see you out on the boat with Graham as well. Look forward to your next video. Tight lines 🎣🎣🎣
At long last Wayne is on YT! You won't believe that but I've been waiting for your YT channel hoping you'll create one! Well done! I'm a huge fan of you and mr Pullen. Its a shame he doesn't go out in his yellow bath that much. Looking forward to your videos mate. Tight lines! Ps. Please Wayne, record your videos in at least 1K (1080 60 fps) rather than 480p it looks super blurry on a big telly.
Great to see you filming and making content too pal. Always loved the videos of you and Graham out for plaice and Bass together :) Subscribed and looking forward to all future content :)
We use 8oz cannon ball with no issue (braid on reel) and we put an elastic band between the weight and boom saves you if the weight gets stuck in the wreck
Yea ha the Legend is back. Proper lumps. Hoping to see you on some big toothy critter action later on it the year and if you accidentally hook into any of those larger Mackerel they have down southwest it would be good to see that on film. It can happen by accident I've heard. Met a guy down there whilst shark fishing a couple of years ago who was having trouble with his lightweight trailer hitch and he said he had accidentally hooked a couple. Another great informative vid. Cheers
Its fantastic to watch super experienced anglers like you!!! I hope to learn some techniques. I suggest to invest in a better camera. The videos are low res quality so far like early 2000's, super difficult to watch on bigger screen.
lovely fish, I wonder how much weight they loose by dehydration, I'm sure if you weighed the fish soon after catching she would of been over 18 lb , nice one.
Great video Wayne I'm hoping to do a few wreck sessions soon if this bloody wind buggers off, I'm pretty new to boat fishing I have a 4 metre pilot 4 how far out would you say I could go mate I go out from Trafalgar Wharf?
That's a fairly small boat to be fair so I wouldn't suggest the wrecks I was fishing as they were 35 miles out. That said Pilots are good boats & on the very calmest days there are wrecks around the IOW that would be within your reach. Whilst a lot have been fished out there are still some nice fish on them including the odd lunker. As I say though only choose the best nailed on forecasts.
@@waynecomben7142 Thanks for the advice mucca I only have a 25hp on the back so definitely won't be venturing 35 miles out haha "I need a bigger boat" 😂 to be fair I've only fished the solent so far but each time I'm getting more confident so hopefully soon I'll be getting out a bit further, thanks again mate 🎣
Fantastic session Wayne really enjoyed the video. Awesome

Nice.. the wrecks we are on are 170 to 200.. we can cast uptide to them but the jig head needs to be about 8oz or it just won't hit the mark.
Another good video well done mate 👍🏻
Nice and clear. Enjoyed the video. Going to give it a go.

Great video Wayne!!! Any chance you could do one showing getting the boat ready and the launch etc?? Cheers!

Nothing wrong with the camera.. probably downloaded the film in the wrong format.. teething troubles!
Camera is OK it was the way I downloaded the film.. believe I've sorted the definition out now.
enjoyed the video, wish it was a better quality video - to be 1080p not 480p but still good to watch, cheers
Thanks for all your videos and sharing your experience.
What breaking strain / type of braid do you use for your wreck shad fishing ? Thanks
40 or 50lb Powerpro..
lovely fish, I wonder how much weight they loose by dehydration, I'm sure if you weighed the fish soon after catching she would of been over 18 lb , nice one.
No Roe in it either..
I have just found your channel, do you have any vids of your sharking? would love to see them.
Soon as I'm on them I'll film it..
@@waynecomben7142 looking forward to that, really glad you have your channel. tight lines and roll on summer.
Nice fish, and Video personally, I’d be setting my drag a bit heavier
Thank you for sharing
Great video n very helpful can I ask the name of the boom you use looks very good
👍👍👍👍
Mustad..
Belting fish, what net is that you have Wayne ?
Not sure.. seen them in the tackle shops.. this particular one was left to me by a much missed mate Clive.
Out of curiosity how much fuel did you use buddy?
About £80's worth.. but that's E5 which was £1.65 a litre!
@@waynecomben7142 I only use E5.

Wot do u think of fishing the Cuba wreck ???
It's well worth a try.. but not a lot left of it..
The Cuba has been heavily dispersed! You need to be in 180ft+ for cod and pollack really
Nice Video Wayne was you at the gang of 5?
No Ross.. wrecks were East of there.
Better than Dodgy Fish Locker
Great video, what rod weight class did you use and what's the reel ?
I want to try wrecking soon and I prefer a fixed spool for most things l but most people seem to use multipliers for wrecking . What do you think?
It's a Hart Bloody Popping 2 with a Shimano Saragosa 10000. I do most of my general fishing with fixed spools now..
Fantastic 👌!!! Do not miss out - P r o m o s m !!!
