I also want to point out while the community right about Druids not being able to change into monstrousity like the OwlBear. We have to be-careful remember the character "Doric" she is a "Tiefling", with "Tiefling's" you never know there is a lot speculation they come from the lower realms, but we don't really know them that well and were their origins come from.
If it were me DMing I would look at the level and if it would fit, or if they could give me reasons why I would allow it. People always forget rule zero if the DM wants to change a rule to better fit their table they should. That is paraphrasing.
If it's fire bolt then is an aoe shield spell, if it's fireball then its an aoe absorb elements spell. Nither of which exists outside of homebrew. The stone dragon is likely a Gargoyle Gold Dragon. It has the same spine flaps as a gold dragon. Eather the owlbear wild shape is a hint at a future update, a mistake, and/or just rule of cool.
Hardcore players/DM's are going to have a hard time with this movie. Others are going to be ok with the rule of cool that the movie exploits like the shield and owlbear.

@@marctemura2017 That wasn't Menzo, it was the duergar city Gracklstugh. The chonky red dragon and the deep cleft in the middle gives it away.

5E druids can cast Polymorph as a 4th lvl spell. This would allow one to polymorph into an owlbear
