In the original Japanese, Eren said this sentence in the present tense even though he was talking in the past tense till then.
So, what the original sounds like is that Eren is talking about the freedom he and others had when he was a kid, the freedom the people living in the tents had before the wars, and also the freedom the people in the tents have right now, as if he knew it was going to be taken away in the future.
When I heard this line in Japanese, the first thing that came to mind was that Eren said “we ARE deprived of” because he knows what’s going to happen in that place where the tents are in the future.
Another thing, this is trivial but the original Japanese tense can also slightly be interpreted as he is telling a general thing; people are deprived of their freedom sooner or later in their lives (“so I must stop this” Eren might say).

the one who voices Mikasa and Eren are so similar to their characters..one to one..
after so many years.. cant believe its the end... this cast, the whole cast of voice actors since the beginning are so important to the greatness of SnK, and the main v.a are just... So sad were not gonna "see" them together anymore.. armin v.a is SO amazing, armin's Voice is gentle but became stronger through the years.., i love everyone of them, whom made such specials characters, but, Eren, mikasa, Armin, Levi, and my lovely Hange (R.i.P) Romi Park my chrush 💖
I am just now discovering all these live performances and all of the voicework from these talented seiyu's is amazing to witness. They look so mentally defeated at the end,... they really put in their best work. Thank you to the voice talent of this series, it wouldn't have been the same without them.
