But the manga back then was in the middle of the book of circus arc. The S1 anime just followed until the agni vs sebastian cooking contest. Also back then, kuroshitsuji franchise was so big that fans wanted another season which would be nearly impossible to follow the orig story, with the manga being in the early stages of the whole plot. So they did improvise S2 for our/the fans' "satisfaction". 🤣
Being whipped around with references from multiple series one after another by the voice actors themselves is exactly the kind of chaos I've been looking for
