    OSS! Professor is coming to our gym again this May for a seminar. I went to the one he did last fall and it was really incredible. He walked around and shook everyone's hand and thanked them for being there. He's a real class act, I also think I'm going to be testing for my blue belt when he's in town 🤯. Can't wait for the visit Professor, see you soon! 🙏🤙

    What did Pedro mean when he said "when I cross my bones to you"?

    • @DeafSparrow
      @DeafSparrow 3 роки тому +1

      He has this theory that's awesome. Basically he explains how the position of your bones is a key defensive point. If your bones are parallel, such as femurs, passing and attacks are easier. But if you, say, frame using your shoulder with your elbow as the connecting point against their knee, or whatever, you are "crossing the bones." Your bones and your opponent's bones are, essentially, perpendicular. That's my sad way of trying to explain what he just told me last week lol.

    • @groundcontrolpresents4384
      @groundcontrolpresents4384 3 роки тому +1

      @@DeafSparrow thanks a lot for the explanation. Didnt know that concept.

    • @DeafSparrow
      @DeafSparrow 3 роки тому

      @@groundcontrolpresents4384 The perfect example of this is keeping your elbows tight when someone has you in mount. It makes it almost impossible for them to get your arms up and enables you to shoulder walk further out to advance your position. If you have your elbows parallel to your opponent's inner thighs, they'll move with ease.

    These are the thinkers of BJJ. And Rickson is the mastermind, always looking for an edge. It's the best way to improve a martial art. The alternative is to stick to the original methodology. There is no fun In that. It's always better to tweak your art. It will never be perfect, only better and better.

    Wait...what if you post with your knee while the foot is stuck? You still can post with your knee. If you post with your knee, the whole beautiful sequence goes to gutter, ain't it? Also, the hooks would not be on the ground if you feel pressure, right? Either way, this might work perfectly for da streetz.
