Does anyone know what day it is anymore? It's Suspension Day for Rob and his Gladiator! Time to install the Rock Krawler 3" Pro-X Suspension, featuring adjustable control arms all around, triple rate front and quadruple rate rear coil springs, 2.25" aluminum RRD Spec Shocks, and a triangulated 4-link rear axle truss! Watch as Rob shows us how easy it is to get this suspension kit bolted in to his truck, along with a small amount of optional welding on the rear truss. Not only will this kit ride fantastic on the road, but it should perform amazingly off-road with insane amounts of flex! Once the lift is installed, the 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers wrapped around custom powder coated fifteen52 Travers HD wheels can finally be installed.

It looks fantastic! That is one slick JT you have there. That is also one cool vehicle lift.
What a great idea to color-match the snorkel! The lift looks and the entire build is amazing. 👍
Somebody laid down a killer bead on that truss! Great video.
Looks great. Can't wait to get mine installed in a few weeks.😎🇺🇸
That looks great!! Keep the mods and videos coming!
You made that install look easy! Looks amazing!
WOW!!! what a big grin on your face. The excitement is real. Love the new look
Definitely! It's so much better now in looks and driving performance!
I am really enjoying these build videos
Building right! Very cool Jeep my friend.
The painted snorkel is a sweet touch!!
Nice build, really a cool Gladiator now!
Sweet build, Rob!
Looks great Rob. Now for the follow up on your thoughts of how it feels on and off road.
I can tell you so far it's AMAZING! I swear it rides better than stock. With the triple rate coils up front, and the quad rate coils in the back, it's very comfortable on the road. I can't wait to get it out on some trails.
Love that floor lift
Dude I need to get mine done! I love the way it looks! I have the Sport Max Tow I think I sit a inch lower then the Rubicon and my fenders are mounted lower! I am thinking about going 4.5 inch lift and am definitely wanting 37s I am also going to add gears of 5.13 I know 4.88 would work but I am towing a camper and am getting a rooftop tent and racks
Nice, looks awesome
That is the exact lift I have and it is amazing so far. I have a few thousand miles on mine. I just saw a FB post with someone that showed the rear upper arms getting a little loose in the joints after only a few thousand miles, so you may want to keep an eye on that. Your garage looks awesome by the way. Would you mind sharing where you got the wood for the walls?
I like the fact that you reused the Rubicon Fox shocks on this lift as In plan on doing the same on mine. I'll be awaiting your review on that. As always, great video.
Rob didn't reuse the Rubicon Fox Shocks. He installed new Rock Krawler 2.25 RRD Spec shocks with the kit. The OE shocks would not be long enough for the increased ride height and flex.
@@Quadratec ah, ok. Maybe I thought I saw the Fox shocks in the video.
Mouthwatering! Will you be re-gearing for those 37" tires? If so, what ratio?
That was a good vid.
Nice rims, not to big.
Great job! Looks awesome. Where did you get the yellow tire dolly?
Great write-up... any update on the ride quality or handling with the new triangulated 4 link rear? Thanks!
Will you be doing a more in depth review later on? I’m really curious about their 2.25 and 2.625 resi shocks, and how comfortable of a ride they offer on road. There’s not much info or reviews out there on RK’s shocks.
did you guys painted your cold air intake? that would be an awesome video to watch if you have the footage!
👍👍👍👍 nice work
Insanely sweet how are parts holding up as daily driver?
Around 11:20 Mark, where did you get that wheel and tire jack thingy? That's awesome
With the diesel that'll be sweet!!!
DearQ, I purchased a JK 2021 sport and I like the look of the rubicon fenders as they follow the hood line. Is their a direct plug and play fender swap you guys sell. As of now would also like to do the rugged ridge fender light swap.
man that thing looks amazing, but i was gonna ask if welding in the truss would void the warranty and same if i did the front cause i really want the pro x system but i really want my son to weld iT in and by doing that im concerned about my warranty, but i really hope you guys can answer my question
The wheels look awesome. I do like the suspension. How did you measure that the axle was imbalance side to side?
I didn't show it in the video, but I set the Jeep down on to jack stands, so the weight of the Jeep was sitting on the axles. Then I took a measurement using a straight edge off the brake discs to the fenders. Then just raised it back up and made the adjustments.
This truck is so amazing. Would be color if the roof was color matched. Sick life, nice wheels. How much would a shop charge to install this kit?
I installed the Rock Krawler 3" Max Travel kit on my Gladiator Sport S. I had to grind the top of the front sway bar end link tabs in order for the sway bar end link extension bracket holes to line up. Did you experience the same issue?
I've been considering a lift kit lately and remembered seeing this video. How did you like this long term?
Rob now that you have lived with the Rock Krawler 3" Pro-X, how do you like it? Were you pleased with the shocks?
They gave you the wrong front swaybar links. The 'nolimits' kit is for Rubicons only and has the big heavier duty front links that do not have to be disconnected. The front links they gave you are for the sport or overland. Same thing happened to me when I ordered my kit. They sent me the wrong front links but they corrected it right away. Love the kit, rides and drives beautiful!! For anyone not taking the axle out to install the cradle. It can easily be done on the lift, remove the spare tire and heat shield and you will be able to move around in there to drill and tap the holes on the top of the axle housing
Cool.
I ordered mine last week.waiting to show up to get installed.
My question is I didnt think you should be welding on axles tube. Dosent it effects the axles shafts from the heat.
@@spencergaither8660 From what I understand you have to do it in stages. Do an inch on one side, go to the other side, back and forth allowing it to cool a bit in between. I didn't weld mine. Mine is only bolted on but eventually I will when I regear and go up to 40s but that is down the road a bit.
@@millstonejeepworx I kind of thought that also. I'm having mine Installed. Just for warranty stuff. But if all runs good and first rechecking on bolts and alignment I'll weld mine myself to help. Just running 37" tires.
And not expecting heavy rock bouncing. Lol.but never know!!😛
Good catch Harold! With everything going on right now, I had to install the kit with the front sway bar disconnects, instead of the "no limits" links. RK has already shipped me out a set of the correct "no limits" links and I'll be swapping them in right away. Good news is that either link will work just fine, especially for a couple days of driving on the road.
So no more need for sway bar disco? That's awesome!
For control arm measurements, why don't you measure top of bolt to top of bolt? Same thing as centerline and much more precise and easy.
Did you install the rear lower control arms backwards? I believe the instructions state the adjustable ends go to the frame and the fixed ends go to the axle.
Rob, you want to install mine!? I'll help! You do top finish work keep it coming, very nice.
Any reason to not cut off the old upper control mounts and panhard mount? I'll be doing this rear kit in a few weeks and was planning on cutting them off.
Are your nitro graps good for commuting as well? What rims do you carry?
Amazing. How much does this setup cost? Also how much do you charge to install this lift?
Just curious, what did you do with the stock wheels and tires?
looking good!! Will have to get that lift. Question though, what and where do you get that tire assist! That looks like it would prevent the lower back strain that can happen when installing tires and wheels.
Definitely! I've got some lower back issues, so lifting and installing a 37" tire is no fun! You can find them online or in some stores, they're either called a truck tire wheel dolly or a lever wheel dolly. Definitely makes removing and installing wheels and tires much easier on your body!
@@rob_quadratec Thank you.
@@paulbaker2680 that was one of my main questions too. I'm off to find one and order. Thanks guys.
What size hole saw did you use for the control arm mount cut
Those wheels show a 4.75 backspacing on your website, but the RockKrawler website says you should run a max of 4.5 backspacing for this lift. Do you have any rubbing? Just ordered this lift and looking to add new wheels/tires now. Thanks in advance!
Is an aftermarket driveshaft recommended for this lift?
I have that lift on my Gladiator with 38s I took it wheeling and now the joints are noisy on the road even after lube. I love the lift but I wish it was quieter on the road... HELP!!!
Please, let us know your impressions of the drive with the new lift.
So far, so good! Actually I'm convinced it rides better than the factory suspension on the road. With the triple rate coils up front and quad rate coils in the back, along with no more rear track bar, it's very comfortable on the highway. Looking forward to getting it offroad!
Rob from Quadratec, thank you Rob.
What's the on-road performance like?
👍
So if your-it a 3” lift on a rubicon, does it raise the rubicon 1-1/2” for a total of 3” or does it raise it 3” for a total of 4-1/2”?
Does it drive better on road and off road better. Is it rough or soft
Sooo... Selling those Fox shocks take offs? Asking for a friend... :D
Hahaha
I've got a set of stock Rubicon jt fox shocks if you know anyone interested, and wheels and tires. Let me know.
How hard was it to drill and tap those deep holes?
Any updates? Has the coils sagged at all?
When you replaced your wheels with larger ones did you loose any performance in your auto transmission? I have the sport with Dana 44 front and rear and the 3.73 axle ratio. My last Jeep was a manual transmission and with 34.5 inch tires I lost 6th gear cruise control. Any road incline it would slow till cruise cut out..
Yes, when you increase tire size, you should also think about re-gearing the axle ratio. With 3.73 from the factory you will definitely loose performance. If you jump up to a 37" tire, you'll probably want to think about re-gearing to either a 4.56 or 4.88 ratio.
Does this kit affect towing capacity?
Is there any rake with that lift?
How tall is your tallest point on the roof?
How is this life for overlanding?
what kind of snorkel is That?
💰💰💰💰
What color is that
Warranties killed with this?
what kind of welding did you do? and did you only weld the outside edge of the brace?
MIG welded around every location the brace contacts the axle tubes.
What is that tire tool called that your using at11:19 in the video?
It's a Tire & Wheel Dolly
Does a 37 spare tire fit under the bed?
Check my instagram to find out - instagram.com/rob_quadratec/ You'll also get a sneak peak ahead of the next video release!
Don’t crucify me but where did the other 2 inches come from. I know wheel size can add but I think he said he had 15’s. Need a little clarity thanks...
Looks good! I would have rather seen a more in depth and style though 👍
Tough to do a step by step install during this pandemic, Rob has been shooting all by himself on this project.
Why is this kit no longer sold by your company
Sexy!! Got the same gladiator color!!
I, think you know you got to do remove something from the front bumper.
What lift is that?
The Lift kit Rob installed?
Quadratec no the vehicle lift. Two post. Never seen one like that
Instead of wolverine you can be gingerine lol
What brand of lift is that?
The volume of the music is annoying. great content though.
