    Very clear and helpful man. Nice to see you do more of these how to guides. Thinking of upgrading to a bagger soon so this will come in handy when I'm changing the bars. Cheers man

    Congrats for your wedding. Awesome step by step video. Please do more of those. Now you made a comment on the tape to attach the wires to the puller. Not every tape will do and especially no cheap electrical tape. 3M vinyl tape is the best, but technique also is important. Your bars were easy for pulling, although the transition from the ubar to the grips was challenging. On other bars, electrical lubricant can also help. Once you remove the tape from the wires, some adhesive may remain. Use electrical contact cleaner. Thank you.

      Thanks for the tip! I've seen people use packing tape, duct tape, and painter's tape so I assumed any time would work. The tape I used was very cheap electrical tape lol.

    Hi Justin thanks for the video.
    I am installing a 14” Kliphanger on my 2022 Road Glide. I noticed right away that my stock brakes and clutch lines are short. Is there a way to install this handlebar without replacing my cables? I’m not sure if there is a slack n the cable that I can pull. Pls i need your insights. Thanks.

    Question on the handlebars..... Whats the center width, from post to post and what is the end to end overall length. Thanks for the informative video.

    Nice bike. I have an’18 RG Ultra too w a 9” KW Flair then also a 12” Pro Tour for touring and Memphis Shades hand guards. I’m looking to put on some 12 inch Yaffe or factory 49 bars. I’m less than 5’7” (!). Based on your apparent height, do your 14” KW’s tire your arms vs the stock bars height?

    I have a 2017 rd gld ultra and want to put these bars on. It seems your able to pull wires out without declipping them, unlike the video from klock werks did. any issues?

  • @pigasus1utube
    @pigasus1utube 5 років тому +1

    Nice Vid Justin. Were the bars you installed 14" tall? Which Klock shield did you have installed at the 12:00 minute mark when you were getting your handguards so they did not contact the shield (looked like a 12" pro tour)? About how tall are you (gauging as you were sitting on bike)? Thanks

  • @rosekransconst.2495
    @rosekransconst.2495 5 років тому +1

    So since your not using the stock pin in the handlebar clamp what keeps the bars from pulling back under a lot of torque? I’ve noticed plenty of street glides with dented tanks from this, are road glides different as far as clearance from the tank? I had to put roll pins in mine to keep them from pulling back due too a stage 4 kit just curious on your thoughts other than that great how to video!

    • @BikeNBird
      @BikeNBird  5 років тому +1

      I guess just people not torquing the clamps down to spec? I can lift my entire body weight on mine without them slipping

    • @MrKeneal0330
      @MrKeneal0330 5 років тому +1

      Everyone I know removes that pin and has never had the bars roll.

    You did not change the clutch cable and brake line? factory lines are enough length for handelbar 14 "?

    • @BikeNBird

    Is it necessary to swap out the bushings too? I'm going to swap my bars and my bike is pretty new has less than 500 miles but HD told me I'll need to change my bushings too

    • @BikeNBird
      @BikeNBird  3 роки тому

      Not necessary. I've done it both with swapping them as well as not swapping them and it basically comes down to comfort. If you want a slightly more stable bar feel with better handling, then swap for a harder bushing. If comfort is your main concern and you're OK with a bit of back and forth flex on the bars, you can keep the stocks.

    12-16lbs on the top clamp bolts is NOT nearly tight enough!...stock bars are 22-26lbs. They should be torqued to 30LBS!! Great vid otherwise.
