If you want good east texas barbecue, gotta go to Brisket Love out in Lindale. I live downtown Tyler and despite Stanley's being right down the road, its worth the drive and atmosphere
Let's go over some of the smaller places that are not as popular but should be. Lupita's Restaurant is truly authentic mexican food, with homemade tortillas, and barbacoa straight from mexico. Plus the owners hospitality is amazing. The food truck is great but sitting in the restaurant is the best. Taqueria Flor de Taxco is another great one, similar to Rubys and less busy. My favorite go to though is Joey's Tacos. It may be in the hood but the best tacos always come from the more dangerous part of town. It's a risk I'm willing to take!😅 no one else has quesatacos like them. And the quesadilla is better than the #7 from El Lugar...I said what I said! Lemon Yellow Latin Bites is already pretty popular but it should definitely be on your list. The mix of Puerto Rican and Venezuela food and sweet desserts are so perfect 🤤 Last but not least Blessed Hands BBQ!! I feel like I'm in heaven eating their food. The brisket, the sides, the chicken Spaghetti and loaded fries. Oh my sweet baby Jesus! You can tell it's made with a passion! Being that these places are locally and family owned is the best part! P.S Chuy's is not real mexican food lol it's edible but far from authentic.
GoFish sushi is amazing food, especially for take out since the restaurant isn’t the biggest. And Yamato is another good option for a nicer establishment sushi place. Mondays are all day happy hour I believe
Thank you for this video. My parents live there and I have visited for years but we always eat at the same few places. We have a dog that goes everywhere with us. Can you recommend some dog friendly restaurants that are pleasant during these colder months...that maybe have a patio with outdoor heating, a fireplace or fire pit? Thank you.
BBQ? Ribtown. I definitely agree with Mario's being great Italian, and Bella's is good as well. Taste of Italy by Lake Hawkins is delicious, and the view from their deck is beautiful. Lola's is the place to go for lunch. The chicken salad is amazing, and if you can't make a decision on what to eat they have a roulette wheel lol. Comes in handy when im being indecisive. 😂
The fact that you did not mention McDonald's and the McRib as "best BBQ" in Tyler is an absolute travesty. The meat is sublime, the brown sugar sauce is scrumptious, and the dill pickles are aged with love. Did I mention they are only available during limited seasons?

In the Mexican food, you forgot about papacitas it’s sooo gooood
You have to try Rip's BBQ in Chandler before you can say you've had the best in Texas. The owner, Roy, has earned his chops!
La Plazita on Hwy. 64 and Happy's Fish House on 5th St.
Did you say add ketchup to pizza? What in the British taste buds are you on about? lol
Don’t knock it until you try it! 😉
