How to use AirServer with your Mac or Windows device

- AirServer allows you to use AirPlay or Chromecast to share your mobile device or Chromebook screen with your Windows or Mac laptop/desktop. This video will show you how to use AirServer with a Mac, though the process is very much the same for Windows. This is a great tool if you do not have an Apple TV or a Chromecast but can project your desktop or laptop.

Is it to possible to use it for streaming music on stereo?
I will explain:
I have a setup with PC Windows, a device compatible with iTunes that is necessary for streaming in airplay music to the main stereo.
Now selected music from iTunes works, but every different font won't work (like radios) with airplay, so music will be played in pc speakers.
This program can resolve maybe the problem?
Or, do you know any method to do this?

My laptop for sure not support miracast(double cheked). Can i use AirServer to connect it (screen mirroring) with my smart tv?
AirServer is for sharing your screen to your laptop or desktop. It’s not made to share your laptop screen with something like a TV. I would look into a Chromecast if that is something you want to do. There are some other screen sharing dongles you can buy on Amazon that don’t cost much but I’m not sure how well they work.
@@AdamOnTech Thanks alot for your quick answer, do you mean something like microsoft wireless adapter even if i dont have miracast in my laptop? Do you know any other way to connect it without cables with tv?
how you do disabled the audio? from the iphone? like only the screen but not the audio on the iphone?
If you go to System Preferences > Sounds > You can change the input and output source and that should allow to set it to anything you want!

@@AdamOnTech Have you tried this on your Linux machine? I tried that inside a VM but it never worked for me.
Well that was a failed suggestion…lol! I have been playing around on my Linux VM and can’t seem to find one that works. Hopefully someone will chime in with one they have found that works. It’s too bad AirServer doesn’t work as they have it set for Linux hardware, just not made to run on the actual Linus OS’s we use. I think I saw mentioned it’s on their roadmap but who knows when that will be!

Hey, not sure what Prime is but what version of macOS? Soon you won’t even need it as this will be a built-in gesture on the new macOS version coming out later this year!

Playing video through AirPlay can sometimes be touch and go. I have seen some of our staff have no issues and others with the same setup have issues.
