Hello Sherri. Thank you for the small project ideas. As I live in a very hot climate (all year round), making large quilts is not an option. We would not use them very often. I am going to make a list of the project I want to sew and then start. I time myself, 30 minutes at a time as I am 77 and stiffen up if I sit too long. We don't get your fabric here and our Rand/Dollar rate is off the roof. So I still enjoy looking and getting ideas from your collections. The few quilt shops we have here as more traditional about choosing fabrics. Take care and blessings to your family.
Thanks for this interesting video. If I get bogged down by a big project and need to "get away" from it for a while, I'll do a small job. Just yesterday I was sick of the mess on our coffee table with all the remotes, pen, note book etc so I made a rectangular basket to store it all in. Hey presto, coffee table looking good and no more mess. Necessity really is the mother of invention and aren't us sewers lucky to be able to make things for around our home to increase it's function or beauty. It's so rewarding.
I don’t know how I missed this video but it is great!!! You just kept coming back with more adorable smaller projects. I think everyone needs a small project every once in awhile. I like to feel like I can actually finish something, especially when I’m working on blocks of the months. 🤣 Thank you Sherri, you are appreciated!!😍
Thanks for all the great small projects ideas. With Christmas coming up I’ll really need some of them to make. And the books look intriguing as well. I’m saving this one! Great job. Love it! Stay well.
Thanks--i always wondered what the best length was to quilt and i will need to try the 3.5. Also having a quilter quilt a yard size sandwich for a variety of projects is a GREAT idea i never thought of. Cute quick projects too-i've added to my notebook.
Sherri, you outdid yourself on this one! So many great ideas. I’m getting the baby quilt book. I’m making baby quilts for a pro-life org. in Israel. So many gift ideas. Your soft-spoken, quiet way camouflages your powerhouse quilting output! Keep up the great work and thank you!
Thx love all your quick project ideas. I love doing these and feeling like I've got something to show! I've been wanting to do a few little bowls so I'm excited to follow the pattern you posted!
Great ideas! Thanks for the links to the different projects. Just ordered the mini spools pattern and will certainly be ordering and/or checking out some of the other nifty quick projects. Thanks again. Be safe, stay healthy.
Thank you so much Sherri, I really really enjoyed this. Lots of great 👍 ideas 💡 And I really really love 💕 that small quilt pattern with the Bobbins that you’ve shown us, was stunning and gorgeous too. Stay safe and well too xxx Mags
SEW pleased to have “stumbled” into your channel? video’s? (I’m a senior citizen & not sure of much of the “tech” vocabulary). The smaller projects are just what I need to make & FINISH! Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. A new fan, M🍀
Love all the ideas of small projects. It would be fun to have a tutorial on your awesome small bobbins quilt. I'm a newbie sounds perfect for a email first quilt.😉
Hi, Love all these projects!! Would you please list the project on here also for the mini charm thread catcher?...would love use my mini charms to make that one too! Thank you!! :)
Do you have a tutorial for the little basket that shows a wider bottom and smaller top, its just by your patchwork little basket. I'll love to make one.
Great ideas. I just stumbled on to this video. I will work on some of these with my daughter who is learning how to sew. The link to the project bag didn't work. Would you please check and see if you can determine what the problem is? Thanks so much
The link to the mini charm thread-catcher tutorial went to a page not found error. I think it's because the URL has .html/ at the end. It should be www.thesewingchick.com/2014/05/tutorial-quilt-as-you-go-thread-catcher/ (without the .html/) I recently made one of these, with mini charms, from this tutorial - fabricmutt.blogspot.com/2016/04/the-pixie-cup-tutorial.html
Its foam, a little heavier than headliner. Its made by byAnnie. It is not fusible. Pellon makes a similar weight product called flex foam which is fusible.
