So I figured out an even easier cheese. Enter the arena. Fire your most lethal magic at it. Run back, going past the entrance of the arena. Once the music stops, head back to the dragon, and then he’ll respawn at his original location with the damage still there. Rinse and repeat. Easy peasy. Not a single hit.
Man thanks for this. I been cruising through the optional bosses on the DLC until this one. The fact we can't lock onto the feet for this dragon makes it way harder imo. Hell, this fight took more attempts to beat than any of the actual main bosses so far. Even when I beat him I died at the same time so I don't even count it as a win but at least the game did lol
Spent longer than I want to admit getting absolutely rolled by this fight. Found this video, and then killed him first try with this method. You’re a lifesaver my friend. ❤
Made this fight so much easier, the combination of the double hit boxes on each lightning attack combined with the design flaw of not being able to lock onto the legs makes this fight an enjoyment killer. Sonething to keep in mind is that when hes doing some attacks, you can stay behind him and hit his tail for free damage. Also circling around him for extra attacks sometimes messes up his tracking and just makes him spin around a bit but he'll recorrect pretty fast.
Aint gonna lie ive never found a video for a boss that was either helpful or didnt seam like a complete cheese but im doing a no summons colossal weapon build (im not good at colossal weapons) and this is the first boss that i just couldnt get anywhere with. This works!!!!

Out of my 120 hrs so far of elden ring this is the first fight i’ve genuinely raged from i’ve never been this desperate to beat a boss in this game ever. I beat relanna in seven tries but a big fat oaf with aoe spam brought out the worst in me

No matter what scadutree level this boss is the hardest not even the strat working for me😂 he js hits me with the tail or I miss my hit then he hits me hard boss
My method was to hop on Torrent and charge dead into him, get a few hits, then bail. It forces him to do slower attacks most of the time, don't be afraid of that big dragon
How are you keeping your summons from just following you around. Do you have one in particular that is better at sticking on the dragon? My mimic ignores the dragon and follows me, then dies then I get killed.

I love bosses that two shot you with endless moves that cover an entire area. Fromsoft is awesome. Not lazy game design. Does not at all make people cheese the Game
I used a bloody lance with the fingerprint stone shield to beat him. If you hold up the shield you can still attack with the lance and will take almost no damage until you run out of stamina. You can also apply the scholar’s shield spell to increase the shields damage negation.

man the boss is dogshit they didnt even bother giving him any other appearance than the other old dragons and hes just a fukin sponge. you can just ride around him and hit him with heavys but he will take forever because lets face it boring gameplay and way too much health on a used model is a recipe for a good boss

got him down to 1hp, even a fart could kill and he then proceeded to be bullshit, this is the first boss im ‘cheesing’. such a horrible boss design

This is such a bad dragon fight. Tedious, most annoying attacks of all time, and kills you in like 3 attacks.
