You’re intended to fight him from there that’s why he takes extra dmg to the head. They don’t want ya just chipping away at his tail or legs because it’s a little boring to do it that way.
The hardest thing in this boss fight is the camera, they should add the ability to lock on his legs,he moves his head way too much, its the classic fromsoftware camera issue
@@para-noxis Its just artificial difficulty. They literally did this right in the last game with multiple fights and just went right back to the broken ass camera. I have to think its intentional at this point, or just lazy/
Stuck on this boss for hours, 2nd timed it thanks to your video! Perfectly put together, explained the Bayles move set so well. Honestly can’t thank you enough!
I don't understand how this video doesn't come up when you look for a strategy to defeat Bayle. I was around level 200 and summoned Igon and the mimic tear just for the flavour of it and because I thought I would have died some more times. But no, I destroyed Bayle. Thank you, friend. I love seeing boss guides that actually analyse the boss moveset and tell you how to defeat them.
The dragon lady says that Bayle had betrayed Placidusax and had fled away in fear of him so I thought I'd use placidusax's ruin on him. And I could see why Bayle feared him because it chews through his hp very quickly
Amazing advice. Ashes of war + run away from fire breath + run back in poke attack, repeat until he is staggered. I legit killed him first try after doing that strategy. He was frustrating and annoying to fight but thanks to you now its enjoyable and fun :D
To anyone still struggling my build was rakshaka boots and gloves, black dumpling helmet, blackgaol chest piece. Then I used golden bow, flame grant, unendurable frenzy and black knife with mimic tear. Let mimic use black knife and just get behind bayle and strategically use UF and you’ll be fine eventually
I was struggling to get his attack tells down until i tried your hit from under and run method, it gave me a predictable way to see all of his attacks one by one so i could better time them! After only 8-9 attempts with your method I slew him! Also your production quality was amazing and made the guide easy to follow! Thank you for your hard work!
Massive props to your guide this is insanely good. I ended up getting him down to 10% like 3-4 times thanks to your guide before summoning Igon.. probably could have either respecced or lvled past tree level 10 but low key liked his shouting. Amazing guide! I’ll get him back in NG+
I beat him in 4 tries, i didnt wanna spend a whole bunch of time learning his moveset so this was helpful. And i managed to get out of his last two breath attacis by stance breaking him with palm blast. Fist ftw
His first phase is easy as pie. But his second phase is just brutal. The inconsistent hit boxes on the massive Nuke AOE attacks are nearly impossible to avoid if he starts the attack while you’re at his feet. I got Mesmer in 5 tries, but this dudes taking me days😫😫 Update: I got him… I ended up changing my build to suit the dragon-hunter great katana and literally first tried it. I think the significant increase in damage means I have less chances of fucking up. Thank god that’s over, I thought I was never gonna beat him😫😫😫😫😫 Guide is muchly appreciated. Bless you lad.. bless you🙏
That was one of the best Dragon fights FromSoft pulled out but still Midir is the best and the hardest (at least for me). Thanks for the guide, got him on my 5th try with duo ultra greatswords
First comment I’ve ever left… you are a godsend dude!! 40 tries later I looked up how to beat him after watching your video… first try and screaming!!! You’re a good man for this and you’re invited to my wedding!
Just downed him no summons/ashes. What helped me alot was switching out great jar's arsenal for Dragoncrest greatshield talisman plus the fire resist +3 talisman and lightning resist +3 talisman. Then I just put on a very light chestpiece that still had high elemental resistance. Dual Great Stars bonk build apart from that which both staggered and procced bleed which was helpful
Absolutely hated this boss cause of the lock-on and i kept gettin f'd so bad. This was made it pretty easy and was able to beat him after the 3rd time with ur setup. Thx alot
To anyone whos struggling: use Scarlet Aeonia! it takes only two hits (1 if ur lucky) to get the dot on the boss which deals more then a 3rd of its health over time. It might be tricky to land at first but you can get the hang of it in 5 tries or so. I think its the best single spell against him
I used -Death Ritual spear -A shield with 100% block -Rotten sword insignia -filigreed crest -Millicent prosthesis -godskin cloth Summon Igon Mimic tear with Dragon great katana 12 red flask 2 blue was easy fight after a few tries. No lock on, just try to run to your left facing him, and get by foot or behind it. Spam spearcall until he staggers then switch to katana to hit him when he’s down. Run to wall away from him when he starts 2nd phase until he cools down so he doesn’t stick you with his right wing attack.
this fight is super fun for summons. ive been putting down my sign and having an absolute blast hunting dragons with people. fucking nuts fight. love it.
@@vnpxpv9340 oh i meant that i like to get summoned for this fight. you can summon up to 2 people as well as dragonhunter igon for this fight. meaning there are 4 people splitting his agro. use your furledcalling finger near the site of grace and there should be a fair few summon signs to choose from. once in the fight use the finger Igon gave you to summon his force ghost.
Using the dragon hunters great katana (+9) made all the difference for me. Was able to get into a position where Igon and my summon was distracting it so I could spam the ash of war.
Your video saved me. With my Clawmark seal+25 i did 6000 dmg with pest threads. Without any buffs. I just spammed it and the dragon died. Lol. Btw red lighting storm sucks because you cast it so slow the dragon always interrupts you, and it does less damage than pest threads which are like 4times faster to cast
Tip, turn the music down in the settings, helps when listening for track cues. P.S. Still haven’t beaten him, I’m stubborn and I’m trying to beat him without using ash of wars, just r1 and r2s, I’m stupid I know, but I got his first stage down.
Nice, that will be tough. If that's the case can I suggest using charged R2s primarily and equip the Axe talisman, two handed talisman, and spiked crystal tear. With colossal weapons/swords or any 'great' class of weapon (halberds work okay too), this is kinda quietly super powerful and you can play the entire game easily with this core build. Charged R2s will do massive stance damage and let alone massive damage themselves.
So I was able to beat Him first try, I am level 351 and used +10 Blasphemous Blade and +10 Sacred relic sword with all drake armor because how could I not lol. But one thing that sealed the win was that I just learned how to use the Scadure tree fragments and the ashes one and I had like 33 fragments and 9 for the other one and I used them all right before the fight since I learned they increase power and stuff.
This boss was close to being my favorite in the DLC, at least when fighting the first phase and not getting RNG rolled by the second. All of the attacks were solid and telegraphable, not insanely long combos like every other boss in the DLC, a solid window between attacks so you can actually damage him, and some beautiful looking moves (like alot of the dragon boss fights). But once I spent enough time with the second phase I started to really hate him, for 2 big reasons. The first is that, there is so much visual sludge on the screen during the second phase you can barely fucking see anything. Alot of the moves seem similar to placidusax, but just 2x more shit on the screen. And the second is that, during the second phase, he chains his attacks together way more often than the first, so its pretty likely that you will just have gotten hit by a fucking nuke, then he flys up in the air and spams 2 lasers on you, then chains that attack with a long distance fire breath. Really a shame, but at least the fight is fun when you have igon as a summon
Only thing that is hard about Bayle is that the lock on is his head and its so hard to hit because he wont stop moving and he lifts his head all the time. But when you hit the body you do no damage. Why cant I lock on his feet?
kinda hoped you also give some advice for a int user but what i learned how to dodge some of his low health attacks and that i should probably farm an aditional 50 levels and 17 points of vigor to not get onehited by the attacks. what scadu level would you advice for this boss.
I just beat it after 40 minutes thanks to this guide with the Backhand Blades. The worst thing for me in this fight is that you can only lock on the head, so I couldn't hit him after dodging his attacks most of the times. And when I didn't lock on, I couldn't see his attacks... very spectacular fight and all but very bad design... you should be able to lock to the leg or the body or something...
My biggest tips. Use a pierce weapon on his head. He takes more damage from pierce than any other damage type and his head takes extra damage. Lock on. His head is his most dangerous part and the easier tell of his attacks. Check my channel for a Bayle kill before Phase 2 without somber weapons or spells for proof I know what I speak of.
