It's so funny that I only now just discovered that the light emitting from the crack in the wall also produces a physical beam that you can interact with. As you know I've known about the light for many years, but just by chance recently I was heading towards that light & just happened to catch the beam shining in my face. Now the questions remains...is it just a glitch or something more? :)
Thanks. I thought about doing a follow-up video but there really isn't anything else to show other than trying to get the light to shine directly on Wander's face, which I was able to do. This could just be a glitch, but it's very curious how the light seems to be creating a beam that shines down onto the ground. I discovered the light emitting through the crack in the wall many years ago, but I only recently discovered that the light also produces a physical beam that you can interact with.
Thanks, well hopefully it turns out to be good. It's an interesting discovery, but it might not lead to anything substantial. We'll have to wait & see.
When I first discovered that light shinning through the crack in the wall I thought maybe it was just a glitch. But now that I've noticed a beam of light shinning down onto the ground, I'm not so sure anymore. There could very well be something more at play here.
I don't remember exactly who you are but thanks for responding. Often when game critics describe this game they say "It's not for everyone". I understand what they are trying to say but truth-be-told no game is for everyone. I've certainly exposed this game to a lot of people that had never heard of it. Some really liked it & wanted it themselves, while others decided if they couldn't run around with a gun, then it wasn't for them. I totally get it. One thing's for sure, it's a very unique game.
That could very well be the case. But why then is the light producing a beam that shines on the ground a good 50 feet or so away from the light source? If you look closely you can even see light shinning on parts of Wander's clothing when he blocks the path of the light beam. Another thing I discovered after uploading the video is that if Wander holds up the Ancient Sword while standing in the beam of light, the sword will shine it's own blue light beam just like it does when in direct sunlight.
@@timmadone8930 I don't know how the global lighting works in the PS4 version, but assuming that there's a minor hole in the geometry of the Shrine then I could conceivably understand why the light shining through the gap would behave just like any other. In this case the light shining through the hole is likely behaving like the rest of the game's light because that's what it is. Might still be worth taking a freecam/photo mode to get a better look at what's happening though.
@@Intrepid_Explorer For now I'm not sure what else I can do. I've already mentioned this discovery to Nomad Colossus, so perhaps he'll look into it & have something to say. It does seem though that if this was a glitch, it should have been caught & fixed. It's not like it's located in some far off place or in a "forbidden zone" where no one would have bothered checking for mistakes.
Did you tried using the sword's light where all the lights align to find the next colossi and align it with the crack in the light? Or shooting any type of arrows? Great discovery mate!
Yes I shot regular arrows, flash arrows, harpoon, nothing happened. And I also shined the Sword Of The Sun towards colossus no.1, but the light beam from the sword wasn't high enough to reach the light coming from the crack in the structure. I also discovered after making the video that if you stand right in front of the beam of light, your Ancient Sword will also produce a light beam as if it was in sunlight (the surrounding area is in shade).
@@kylemitchell7229 I certainly hope so. I've got several things planned to try over the next few days & see what results (if any) I get. It's really amazing that after 18 years there are still new discoveries being made. You would think after so much time there wouldn't be anything left that hasn't already been seen or found. Thankfully that's not the case. The "Secret Seekers" work continues.
Sadly there is no 17 colossus. I do greatly recall though back when so many people thought there was possibly a hidden colossus behind the back wall in the Secret Garden. Got to admit that wall (original version of the game) did look a bit sus. The light may not lead to a 17 colossus, but that doesn't mean this beam of light doesn't have some significance. Even if it does turn out to be just a glitch, I was excited nonetheless to discover it. :)
Yes, & I've even glided right past it by glitching through the map while in the Secret Garden. Assuming it's not a glitch, perhaps there is something you need to do to activate it. For example, if you glitch through the map before collecting all 79 gold coins, there is nothing in the area that eventually becomes the throne room for the Sword Of Dormin. It simply doesn't exist until all 79 gold coins are collected. What other areas around the map are blank until you do or accomplish a certain something?
Obrigado e certamente espero que sim. A princípio pensei que a luz fosse apenas uma falha. Mas agora que vejo que a luz realmente brilha no chão, não posso deixar de sentir que há algo mais acontecendo aqui. Thanks & I certainly hope so. At first I thought the light was just a glitch. But now that I see the light actually shines a beam onto the ground, I can't help but feel there's something more going on here.
Correct, there are no moving shadows caused by the movement of the sun. Many S.O.T.C. theorists believe that time has stopped in the Forbidden Lands & that's why the sun remains in the same place.
No, this is only on the PS4 remake. I discovered the light peaking through the castle wall a few years ago & just shrugged it off as a glitch. But now that I discovered that the light actually shines a beam onto the ground, I can't help but feel there might be something more going on here. It's certainly safe to assume that the dev's at Bluepoint Games added more secrets into this remake than just the Sword Of Dormin, the "Boon Of The Nomad" cave, & the watermelon at the end of the beach.
@@timmadone8930 And the goats. Was there only ever 4 of those discovered? Was it confirmed there are no more? Well, I still think the PS2 original is more mysterious than the remake/remasters even without all those things added.
@@holyboy1 Not sure if it was ever confirmed, but the senses is there are only 4 goat anaglyphs. But things can be in plain sight & still overlooked. @@holyboy1 It may not mean anything, but for sure it's meant to be the number 24.
