In this #SoCandid segment, we get to sit down with him as he recalls the struggles of his early beginnings, his perseverance in building his lifelong dream, to starring in Hollywood with his first mainstream film “Easter Sunday” that takes pride in Filipino representation and celebrating Filipino-American culture.

I loved the movie Easter Sunday. I read a review about this movie last week, you can tell that some Pilipinos cannot support their own kababayan. Some viewers said that the movie is embarrassing, I don’t think so. They’re haters who cant accept that our kababayan is successful here in the US. I’m proud of you Jokoy. Congrats for your first movie. Just watched it last night. Waiting for your next movie.
