This line cured my acne and oily skin. I’m 29 and I’ve been struggling with acne since 12 and nothing ever worked. I love this line because it’s affordable and is effective.
I have severe acne (had) but take expensive creams and pads to keep it at bay. I also literally have to use it to clean my face before the products or else I break out like mad. It can't be too drying since the cream and pads are such. Love the product.
Hi Kenna, can u please review “the ordinary” specifically their more powerful/popular products such as the hyaluronic and lactic acid seriums, their glycolic acid, vitamin c, skin buffet and moisturiser. I hear a lot of mixed opinions on their products and some say it’s almost worth getting one or two of their products such as hyaluronic acid or skin buffet and then splurging on a drunk elephant vitamin c because of its stability over time. I’d not only be interested in your opinion but I actually hold it in very high regard due to your expertise and honesty. Thanks love from England! X
Catalina Cortés I checked out the video kindly linked above for the ordinary products but unfortunately she didn’t review the products I mentioned in my post so I guess the request still stands :) x
They make a gel cream with no fragrance as well! I was pleasantly surprised when I was looking to repurchase the original. I didn’t have any issues using the fragrance but I have been trying to eliminate fragrance in my skincare.
I usually don’t mind a little bit of fragrance in skincare if it’s just a touch but the smell of this is horrible it smells like chemical washed linen, it’s not the right smell for skincare anyways it should be something gentle and soothing at least not detergent smelling. Ew :(
As an esthetician I appreciate this review so much! Not many people realize that ingredients are a HUGE part of taking care of your skin. So thank you for explaining the importance! 10/10
Another idea for a video is to review store brand vs name brand. Specifically CeraVe vs. Walmart's Equate. Equate seems to sells several dupes at a much lower cost and I would like to know if the name brand is worth the added cost.

The extra-dry cream has no dye or fragrance and I love that cream so much. I recently purchased the wrong one with it being the normal cream and it really irritated my skin :/ I never realized how sensitive my skin was until now.
Mariah everyone’s skin is actually sensitive to fragrance. It’s just a matter of time before it reacts. Sun exposure exasperates symptoms as well. Dr. Dray (dermatologist on UA-cam) talks about this in great detail in some of her videos. She’s the reason I wear spf everyday now

One of the products in this line is the overnight mask. It’s in a small plastic container that supposed to be one use, but I get at least a week’s worth out of it. When my skin gets dry beyond repair in the winter, this mask is the only thing what will bring it back to normal. It does super well with the eczema on my face. It’s really amazing!

I’ve just starting using Neutrogena products and I don’t mind them at all, and as for fragrant, I don’t mind that at all ... thank you Kenna, great review. 💕🎄🌺🎄💕
Thanks for the thorough review. I have been looking at this line but wasn’t sure what to pick up. I think I will give the gel Creme a go. I would love your thoughts on The Ordinary.
I love the hydro boost gel cleanser which I find great for my sensitive skin. However I reacted to the cream. Don't know why. My favourite Neutrogena product is the oil cleanser. Removes makeup easily and leaves my skin feeling great.
I used hydraboost gel cream but fragnance free version because I have acne rosacea. So my skin is very sensitive. Despite great reviews I read online, it didn't work out for me. My face felt as it was on fire everytime I used it. And that feeling didn't go away for hours. I kept using thinking my skin will get used to it but nope. So I stopped using it after a month. I also read online that I am not the only one who got red skin from using it. Too bad but I will never use it again.
I love this line!! I use the gel cleanser then the serum/vitamin boost before I use the gel cream. I have dry skin and it helps keep it healthy! I don’t use the eye cream as I have the tatcha eye cream.
I tried the gel and moisturizer from this line. I expected to have really moisturized skin because of the “hydro” branding. Didn’t do much for me especially the moisturizer :/ I feel like I can find something more moisturizing? Or maybe my skin is way to dry.
Hi! Love the review. I’ve also tried the products in the line.. I’ve enjoyed them. But, I do agree, they can leave out the fragrances. Important to remember to put an occlusive over hyaluronic acid! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this review, it was nice and informative! Could you please comment on the comedogenicity of the gel cream? I've been tempted by it before but I'm terrified of it breaking me out 😣
They also have a fragrance free body lotion, and from what I can tell the formula for the body is the same as the face but you get a ton more product for the money. I’ve been using the body one on my face and all over.
I would love to see a video on just eye cream. What ingredients should we use or ingredients we should avoid? Your favorite or most effective eye cream at different price points.
Thanks Kenna. I use the Hydroboost gel cream for extra dry skin because it doesn’t contain fragrance or dyes. I’d like a review of the Hada Labo line of products.
I really appreciated this review. I just recently bought an exfoliating cleansing gel, this serum that you talked about and the gel cream. I have been putting on the serum then the gel cream after I wash my face. I am thinking that the serum is not necessary to do but I will continue all 3 and see how it works for me.
hey!i used the water gel cream for the 1st time today...i loved the light&refreshing texture that has in it.Btw,i loved the scent(for me,smells like candy, hah)tnks for the review!!!💦💙
I’d like to hear what you have to say about the cerave night and day moisturisers with ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. I believe the day comes in spf 30 & 50 varieties. I’m also interested to hear what you think of their intense healing ointment. Secondarily, I’m also really interested to hear what your opinions are on CosRX’s AHA and BHA chemical exfoliants (white head and black head)
I tried the gel cleanser after being on Accutane for 9 months sucked all moisture out of my skin and it turned my face into a tomato. Didn't help with the dryness whatsoever. If anything, it made my skin dryer. I haven't been able to find any product(s) that have helped and it's almost as frustrating as having severe acne was! (I don't regret it overall though.)
I love the moisturizer. I got it because I was desperately trying to find a replacement for L'Oreal Hydra-Total 5 cream gel (which I adored, but unfortunately can't find it where I live anymore). I'm definitely going to try more products from this line.
The hydro boost gel cream does come in a fragrance free version. It’s says it is for extra dry skin but I don’t think it would create issues for most people.
I know people hate carmex and all of its potentially irritating ingredients but I love the feel of it and the idea of salicylic acid in. My ideal lip moisturiser, however, would be a mixture of petrolatum, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid and menthol for that fresh feel/modest plumping effect. What do you think about chemical compositions in lip moisturisers and what mixture would you like to use?
The salicylic acid in that one made my lips peel, which is not crazy since it makes the face peel as well. Have not seen the salicylic before use and started to read the inredients after the bad reaction. No idea why they would use such ingredients in lip products..
Rianne. R like the rest of your Skin, exfoliating the lips is a healthy and necessary process. I’ve never had a bad reaction from salicylic acid on my lips, but carmex has several ingredients in that are known to be widely irritating to the skin. I like the idea of exfoliating and plumping my lips whilst also heavily moisturising them. I like carmex for that reason, but I’d much prefer if, say, cerave made their intense healing ointment with salicylic acid in 🤷🏻♀️☺️ I have combination, nonsensitive skin.
I use the hydro boost like regular cleanser and the lotion cleanser, which I like better for some reason. : ) Love the whole line. I have the hydro boost gel cream (regular not extra dry skin), the hand cream (it’s pretty good but just like any other gel body cream I’ve tried), the hydro boost with the beads in it (not for me & wont be repurchasing), and the serum is good to. Hands down I love the serum so much and need more. The under eye cream is amazing and I have like 3 backup bottles. I really hope this stuff isn’t terrible for my skin. I’ll be 30 this year and I’ve been trying to take care of my skin for over 15 years now. Started when I was really young. I really enjoy your videos and your opinions. Thanks girl! Makes me so much more confident in using the cleanser. The gel cream I’ve actually switched to the PM cerave night cream? Idk how to spell but it still has the hyaluronic acid in it as well as other ceramids. It absorbs a little bit faster than this stuff for me. Sorry for the rant. Just wanted to share what I went thro with this line. It’s not a bad line actually lol *i hate that it has some fragrance* the lotion cleanser is a little bit more mild and doesn’t have such a scent.
Thanks for reviewing this line. I recently picked up this moisturizer because I was in Target and appreciated how affordable it is compared to the higher end options. I find this gel cream similar to Belif's moisturizer (which I love) so I'm happy about spending less and getting close to the same results! Again, thanks for uploading and sharing your knowledge! :)
This video is awesome! I’ve been looking at some of these things to buy so this came out at the perfect time! I bought the moisturizer and love it. Can you do a video about ALANI NU BALANCE capsules. I’ve been hearing some good and bad things and I’m interested in seeing your thoughts on the ingredients 🥰
Thank you for mentioning that golden nug of info on HA and the inflammatory response it has the potential to cause. 💓🙏🏻 I’ve been using the hydro boost gel on and off because I think it is what is causing my skin to become overly plump or inflamed idk..therefore enlarging my pore appearance & I think it’s what gave my neck a weird dry patch. I did buy the fragrance free one. Idk..I use HA in the CeraVe lotion and that doesn’t seem to bother me. Anyways I know you said you are guessing they don’t use the below 50 formulation... but that lets me know this is still probably what’s causing problems for me. Still kinda stumped on the dry patch a hydro boost cream caused on my neck🤨 but I’ll probably be returning this product. Don’t think my skin is a fan. Thanks for validating the my suspicion. 😊
I am grateful that I do not have sensitive skin because I enjoy this line sooooo much. The gel cleanser is amazing. I use the moisturizer as well. I want to try the serum next. I am using a really great glycolic serum at the moment. The scent reminds me of laundry detergent. Perhaps a fabric softener sheet. Lol. I agree, I don't care for the blue dye. Its natural color is acceptable to me. I stock up on these items when Ulta has a sale and I have a coupon.
Hi Kenna! Can you do some reviews on baby products? Wipes, wash, lotions... I am a mom of three and while I try to buy organic or natural products for my girls it get expensive. I would like to hear your thoughts on the affordable one vs the organic more expensive ones. Thank you. Happy new year!
I have rosacea and I'm using this gel cream but I don't know, since I've been using it I have more pimples and even in areas I don't use to have. Do you think this one is going to work good to me? Do I need to change or just wait for better results? Thank you so much!!!
What makes this moisturizer even better is if you use a moisturizing facial mist like aloe rosewater before you apply it. It helps moisturize even more and you use less of the neutrogena moisturizer
Just want to note-the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gentle Cleansing Lotion (Fragrance-Free) is a better option for most with sensitive skin. Also, make sure to get the Hydro Boost Gel-Cream Extra-Dry Skin, as it is fragrance-free. Fragrance serves no purpose in skincare. Any hyaluronic acid product should be followed with a moisturizer, to lock-in the hydration. If you do not do this, your skin can become more dry. Question: Does anyone else find that the Water Gel Lotion Sunscreen pills up after a little while of wear? I love the consistency of the product but the pilling up is not ideal.
I have right now dry, sensitive skin because of malassezia and have used all of these and they dont make my skin break out or dry more. Only didnt see much result from hydro boost serum, feels kind of needless because gel cream does great job. Also in these products have glicerin, so i guess its not good for malassezia? But it works fine for me. Thanks for the review, wanted to hear from a pro point of view :)
I’ve heard that large face jars can be bad because you put your fingers in it and there is more of a chance for bacteria to grow/or need for more preservatives to prevent that from happening. What do you think about this?
This line cured my acne and oily skin. I’m 29 and I’ve been struggling with acne since 12 and nothing ever worked. I love this line because it’s affordable and is effective.

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream comes in fragrance free. It's the one that says "Extra Dry Skin".
just in case you don't know how it works for oily skin?
@@danielacuellar6209 I don't know how it is for oily skin since I have very dry skin. It works well for me.
@@rosannsupino5517 oh thanks 😘
I personally love the scent of the gel cream. Actually all the neutrogena moisturizers that I have smell good and make me feel fresh out of shower.
I didn't know they had a fragrance free one. I bought the gel that has the fragrance and it made my skin burn.
Would you be able to review the brand “Vichy”? I want to know if it’s better then “ Elizabeth Arden” Anti aging products. Thanks 😊
I love the hydro boost gel cleanser which I find great for my sensitive skin. However I reacted to the cream. Don't know why. My favourite Neutrogena product is the oil cleanser. Removes makeup easily and leaves my skin feeling great.
Please review the Burt’s Bees sensitive skincare line 🐝 It’s one of the best I’ve tried for sensitive skin from the drugstore.
Oh man I hate when videos don't work out (corrupt files are annoy AF). Love this review! I saw this line today actually. Thanks for the video
I love that stuff especially the hydroboost body gel cream sensitive skin. It's no die or perfume and I use it on my face too.
I've been tempted by it before but I'm terrified of it breaking me out 😣
I wish you reviewed the Sleeping Cream too. Also I would love you to review the Hada Labo Alin care line too. Especially their Eye & Mouth Cream
They also have a fragrance free body lotion, and from what I can tell the formula for the body is the same as the face but you get a ton more product for the money. I’ve been using the body one on my face and all over.
Pizza is forever what's the name of it?
They make a gel cream without perfume or dye. Love this line. Is what I'm using regularly
Can you please review Cerave?
Also, the extra dry hydroboost moisturizer does not contain fragrance or dye.
I work with an 87 year old dementia patient and I used this on her face last night and this morning she is glowing! Now I want some for myself lol.
I would love to see a video on just eye cream. What ingredients should we use or ingredients we should avoid? Your favorite or most effective eye cream at different price points.
Love your videos as always. Could you do a video on your opinion on Derma Rolling? Thanks!
Just found your channel and you have a new subbie!! So informative, thanks for sharing!
Love the whole line.
I have got oily combo skin and I love the water gel cleanser. It has become one of my favourites.
I’d love to see a full drugstore skincare line. From makeup removal to cleansing and toning, serums, etc
What do you think of the Vichy Mineral 89? It's a hyloranic acid gel. What is the best way to use it!? 💜
You and your husband (I’m guessing) compliment each other very well:)
Please do a video on eye creams, what to look for, good ingredients and suggested brands!
That gel cleanser has been my staple for a year now
The cleanser wrecked my skin. It's been 2 months and my skin is still recovering. (It started to get better when I stopped using it)
What did it do?
@@blablablabla2584 got major bad blackheads on my cheeks.
I personally don’t mind the sent in the gel it doesn’t bother my skin at all, but this line literally cleared my eczema up
Hi Kenna.....I have little white bumps under my eyes....could you recommend an eye cream that won’t make it worse please? 💕 xx
Do you use a lip balm that you love?
What do you recommend for melias?? For years ive always had them no matter what products ive used.. Any tips?
I am grateful that I do not have sensitive skin because I enjoy this line sooooo much. The gel cleanser is amazing. I use the moisturizer as well. I want to try the serum next. I am using a really great glycolic serum at the moment. The scent reminds me of laundry detergent. Perhaps a fabric softener sheet. Lol.
I agree, I don't care for the blue dye. Its natural color is acceptable to me. I stock up on these items when Ulta has a sale and I have a coupon.
I use the hydro boost serum in combination with the water gel and water cream and it's lovely. It's working for my skin.
Tbh I found the gel cleanser too drying, and I have oily combo skin
They have a cream cleanser as well
Just want to note-the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gentle Cleansing Lotion (Fragrance-Free) is a better option for most with sensitive skin.
Saw biochemist and instantly subscribed
I use the one which is white. And i tell you. This product is holy grail to me!
Thanks for this informational vid! I always wanted to try this line but now I'm not totally impressed! Can you review First Aid Beauty and Kiehls?
I have right now dry, sensitive skin because of malassezia and have used all of these and they dont make my skin break out or dry more. Only didnt see much result from hydro boost serum, feels kind of needless because gel cream does great job. Also in these products have glicerin, so i guess its not good for malassezia? But it works fine for me. Thanks for the review, wanted to hear from a pro point of view :)
I’ve heard that large face jars can be bad because you put your fingers in it and there is more of a chance for bacteria to grow/or need for more preservatives to prevent that from happening. What do you think about this?
