Another great job capturing your adventure! I haven't figured out the perfect vehicle and camping set up yet either. Went from a Gazelle tent camping with a Rubicon to a 4Runner with s 5x8 Hiker Trailer. I like to set up home base at a state park campground(been mostly in VT and NH) then go out on the fireroads and two track for the day. This set up seems to be working for now. I want to do some exploring in the ADK of NY soon. Keep the videos coming!
Remarkably enough. About 3 years ago I started prioritizing my overland gear and I chopped. A lot of things from my list of must keeps. However, one of them was not my hip waiters. I packed them in a storage box up on my roof rack and it's rare that I use them. But you know on occasion I find them very handy, especially when I'm driving solo. And I have a water crossing that I want to try to measure whether I am going to conquer or not. Hip waiters definitely on the checklist
I grew up in South Jersey and after marrying my wife we used to take our sons to Lebanon State Forest’s lake to teach them how to fish, that was 30 yrs ago. It is a lovely area. It is amazingly quiet and serene for an area smack in the middle of two huge Metro areas. Sad it’s been named for Byrne a democrat most South Jerseyans detested.
Also, what diesel heater are you using? Any after market add ons also? I have a My Buddy heater and although it’s been fine I still don’t love having it in the tent and rather something that I can set up outside of the tent and pump heat in continually
Anthony, I'm using this one. Just be sure to get a long enough duct hose! www.amazon.com/HCALORY-Bluetooth-Control-Monitor-Trailer/dp/B0BM5M4BV8/ref=sr_1_1_pp?c=ts&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.zqaXSs1Uv_6OvmTgI6mdbj1vmWFAcpg0ebxbP7YMNy7INvEdw3ptctvcyBWJNtpOq6Rb9neFlps4p5pSOfpuR-AP6F8yfJGh-XGjBQPyg7g.3dOAjz5763Yw49eIwxw2BZnE06gi4ISWUl98RfcoW-4&dib_tag=se&keywords=Automobile%2BInterior%2BHeaters&qid=1732570845&refinements=p_89%3AHCALORY&s=automotive&sr=1-1&ts_id=15723891&th=1
This was a really enjoyable trip with great production quality. You are good at this. Question: what do you do with your diesel heater at night when it’s raining?
Good question which I've never had to answer. It's all contained in a weatherproof case so I assume it'd be fine and I'd probably never use it above freezing.
The creativity and postproduction value did not go unnoticed. 🙂👍
Thanks :)
Thank you, not many on the east coast doing videos like this
You're welcome, not many but a few interesting ones out there. One I like is darkside off-road.
Thanks for the ideas! We live 15 minutes from the temple and I had never heard of it before.
Cool!
North Jersey in da house!! 😎 That Hindu temple is amazing! I had no idea it was there…😏
hi! Def worth a visit, esp the inner temple where no filming is allowed.
I head down on the coldest days of the year and bring my Mt. Bike and Canoe. Fun Place in the winter to camp.
Indeed!
Insanely good post-production and narrations! I hope you get a large following! This is great, keep it up!
Thanks man--super inspiring comment!
Come for the adventure and beautiful scenery...stay for the drone resuscitation...epic!
Haha...apparently they're indestructible.
Awesome video! We just camped the Pine Barrens 2 weeks ago. Loved the views and trails
That's cool--so much to explore!
Glad your drone survived the crash! Great video 👏
Was lucky the water was still iced over. Thanks for the comment!

I agree, nice to have a base camp at the end of the day. Hope to explore more VT back roads like Chateauguay this year, maybe we'll cross paths!

Great to hear about your experience here. Makes so much sense to have them.

Such a unique area--thanks for sharing your memories!
Pine Barrens...Great episode of the sopranos...
Lol...that episode was never far from my mind.
Awesome. BBSF is in my neck of the woods.
Thanks man. What a cool area and nobody there at the time.
@@jimbresnahan Yep off season there is great. I gets busy in the summer and fall
That temple is amazing.
Indeed. In NJ--who knew?

Here in Maryland state parks work under honor system. Not sure how much longer that will exist.
Thank you for that info!
New Jerky, you need a permit to be permitted to get a permit.
not to rub salt on a wound, but it's usually a pilot error when a dji drone goes down
Lol Melvin, I'd say it's always pilot error in my case.
"How much deeper could it get" is a terrible question to ask.
🤣
Especially so in the Pine Barrens.
Stomp coming to camp at night !!! Please
