Please, you did not make a mistake. This video was outstanding especially to the music you selected, which sounded like a Nina Simon remix of 'Feeling Good'. Please keep up the great work. And Sonny/Sunny no eating mom and dad's lunch! He is so awesome!
Thank you for your comments... the music is "Birds Flying High" by MÖWE... one of the free music selections that UA-cam approves. We will continue to put more Sunny in our videos. Thanks.
Love the scenic drive and seeing Window Rock. I thought it was funny when it seems your doggie was trying to find a place to cross the small creek. She jumped over the creek the first time then the second time she walks through the creek. LoL! Nice choice of music. Thanks for sharing! 👍
You didn't have to go back the other way, did you? I don't think my heart could've taken that drive twice, esp with my Casita following behind. On some of those bends, the rocks kinda hung out into the road a tad. We won't even talk about about passing oncoming traffic. I am glad that you drove this and not me! Thanks for the scenery!
Eileen Fostel It was an interesting drive and the Casita stayed safe back at the campground. We completed the Gold Belt loop (a future video) and made a circle back to the Casita via another highway. Thanks for the comments.
Wrong, he drove past Hole in the Rock, never went through the tunnels that are on the Phantom Canyon Road, and the Phantom Canyon Road is wider and better maintained. I lived in CC for a number of years in the 70s-80s.
5:07 - that's a special kind of stupid pulling a U-Haul from Canon to Cripple Creek. I drove this route for 6 months in 2008-09 from Canon to CCV Mine. Really crappy in mid winter.
Great vid thanks. One pet peeve i have is loud filler music. If you can remember to back off the volume , think elevator music, that would make view the whole vid perfect. No offense intended .👍🏻
By the way: At the end of the music when you were talking to the camera you cannot hear what you’re saying because the music is still playing. Just thought I’d let you know in case you wanted to edit the video to edit out the music so whatever it is that you’re saying could be heard otherwise fantastic video thank you
Enjoyed the scenery during the drive. Any regrets on the Casita yet? It’s one of the trailers I’ve been considering but my truck will pull way more with no issues. Had a 30ft with slides and HATED pulling it! The Casita may be large enough and just wondering your thoughts after a little use.
Doctoor Dan Thanks. We love our Casita, it is just big enough for us and our dog. It lacks utility storage but the tow vehicle takes care of that. The small size makes it easy to maneuver.
Yes, I feel the sway bar is needed, especially if a good cross wind is blowing or an 18 wheeler blows by. Of course the rounded design of the shell helps with aerodynamics.
My only regret is that I would love to have more storage space. The lack of it forces us to spend more time planning on what we can bring and what we have to do without. Plenty of space in the tow vehicle takes care of that.
Drove this last week. Nice drive.
Great Video! 🥲👍💪😎 T. Fisher (Lifetime Manitou Resident)

Oops! Saw another video of yours and doggie is a "He".
Sorry Sonny.
Diane, no problem... Sunny is often mistaken for girl/boy. Thank you for the comment.

Thanks for the vid!!
It’s called Hole in The Rock by the locals, and has been for decades.
That is Phantom Canyon road. I used to live there and drove it many times.
Looked like Shelf. Beginning of road didn't even used to have nice signs.

That looks like a precarious perch.
Yes... there were some places that were a little scary. Thanks for commenting.

is it legal to recreational shoot here?
Yes. If you mean photos... if you mean firearms, then I do not know. Check with local government for laws. Thanks for watching.
As long as your in BLM land And not on the Chapman Ranch which the Shelf Road runs through in places.
