Espresso is so gorgeous! I've used almost 1 whole can on projects. However, if the surface is damaged, don't expect perfection. Also, you need to wait 3 to 5 days before you use Gator Hide on it. I made the mistake of putting it on too soon and in the buffing stage, the stain lifted (so had to completely strip/sand it all off and start again).

Isn’t it??? It’s my favorite stain color no doubt! And yes ma’am! I always wait a minimum of 72 hours prior to GH application!

since i cant get gator hide right now, can i topcoat the gel stain with the clear coat? and if so how many applications should i put on it? thanks for your help.

The simple answer to this is NO.
No, you do not have to put a top coat over No Pain Gel Stain.
However, depending on the use of the surface....table top or regular use, I highly recommend applying a top coat 72 hours after your last stain application.
For this particular piece I used Gator Hide, I didn't want my client to have to worry about water marks or heavy use damaging the surface.

Can I use this indoors? Or does it have a high voc? Also how does it hold up to scratches?

You can ABSOLUTELY use this indoors! I have an autoimmune disorder and have to be very careful about what products I use. And I have no issues using this or any of Dixie Belle's items.
